We visited this hotel for the last two weeks of August and travelled with Thomas Cook. The holiday overall was really good. Did not like the main part of Sunny Beach as too many pole dancing places etc. Not particularly suitable for families. Nessebar is a lovely place to visit but a lot of gypsies trying to take advantage of tourists. Tiara Beach Hotel itself was definitely 4 star. Food quality was very good, the staff were extremely helpful (especially Reception, Bell Boys and the guy at the front of restaurant) and the cleanliness was very good. Mini aqua park was a hit with the kids as were the female members of the entertainment team with some of the older male guests - which added to the entertainment value! Biggest turn-off were some of the other English guests who behaved like thugs during water polo games and were the only people to get really hammered at the bar.
Travelled with Thomas Cook and experienced 3.5 hour delays both ends. Really annoyed as no reps. present and no info. given. You really are on your own once you have gone through passport control.

We (2 girls)are currently staying at the hotel, been here for a week n half up to now and having a fab holiday. Hotel is clean and tidy - maid service excellent. All the staff are extremely friendly. However today we decided to have a massage. Only 60 lev for a full body Swedish massage, the guy was a bit a bit lechy at first but we thought nothing of it until we were actually in a room on our own with him. The guy inappropriately stripped off bikini bottoms and attempted to touch us - not very nice in the slightest.
Don't let this stop you from staying at this hotel as it is brilliant this is the only downside.

We have just returned from a fantastic Holiday in Bulgaria, staying at this hotel. At the time of booking i was very aprehensive becasue of some of the reviews of this hotel but also a lot of reviews of other hotels in Bulgaria and the country itself. Well i need not have worried, the hotel was lovely ( i had stayed in an iberostar before, so hoped the quality would have been the same) the rooms are clean, food lovely and plenty of it, we had a pool/sea view, no queues at the bars, however the sunbeds did fill up quite quickly, but was not a problem if you didnt lay in until late so not too much of a problem for us. The restarant was lovely, only complaint was that it was quite busy, with usual suspects being greedy with food but that did not put us off, we just held our own or booked the theme restarant for that evening which was lovely, same quality of food but much more relaxed. we also ate out a couple of times, and the food we had out of the resort was also lovely and very cheap. Visited the town of Nessebar whilst we were there whihc was relaxed and also very beautiful. I traveled with my partner and my Six year old boy we all had a great time and we are looking at going back next year.Staff were friendly and you would always see a cleaner or 5 buzzing around the hotel keeping on top of things. Our Maid was lovely and made an effort to find out about the family she was cleaning for as she would do lovely designs when making the beds (my little boy loved the shirt she made from towels and left on his bed)we are looking to return next year.

We stayed here in August 2010. The hotel is more of a 3* than 4* as we found it a little tatty and tired. The maid service is excellent. The food is OK for one week but repetative if staying for 2 weeks. Catering mostly for Germans with lots of unusual dishes all very oily and covered in sauces. The water pump broke in the pool whilst we were there and what with the very hot temperatures and lots of people we all (7 in our party) had tummy bugs, eye infections and ear infections !!! The staff (apart from a couple) were quite sullen and spoke little english. The entertainment was OK but we struggled to be seated to see it.
If you do venture here, do not travel with BALKAN HOLIDAYS. We had a 10 hour flight delay going out (which apparently has not been unheard of in the past) with no rep at Gatwick to complain to and very poor customer service from the rep. at the hotel.
Maybe we were just unlucky, but I will not be going back to this hotel.

This is the second year on the trot that we've stayed at the Tiara Beach. Everything was just as we remembered from last year. Rooms are great and are cleaned everyday, the maids are really friendly.
Food is good with plenty of choice, if others say otherwise it's because they must be really picky as there is something for everyone. If kids dont like most of the choice there's always pizza, chips and icecream. There is a chef on at breakfast doing fresh pancakes and this year you could even have fresh omlettes prepared in front of you. If you want to eat out for a change its still really reasonable and wont break the bank.
You don't have to rush for sunbeds because you cant put your towell on them before 9.00 am. There's plenty of sunbeds (and there not the cheap white plastic ones either) and brolleys.
Were trying to book again for next year but at the moment you cant book it. It looks like it may be going all inclusive but were gonna keep checking with the travel agent and as soon as we know whats happening well be booking again (thats how good it is)

Tiara Beach hotel was fantastic all the staffs were really friendly and the housekeeping team did the most amazing clean of our room every day including arranging our towels each day in a different animal position or figure. The hotel food was brilliant there were so many options of food available we were spoilt for choice every night and over eat for sure as you could not resist the amazing food for both breakfast and dinner. Sunny Beach its self was amazing there is so much to do and so many restaurants and bars to choose from. You do have to bargain with the locals for the prices what ever they offer, you can almost guarantee to haggle and get it for almost half of what they originally offer they do try there best to get you to well over pay. I would recommend going to Khans Tent it is an amazing evening out and such a bargain and is suitable for everyone. The only bad comment i have is i cant believe that a lot of places in Sunny Beach charge you for using the toilets (25p, but still!) even if you are paying to use their facilities and some of them still aren’t clean and only give you a tiny bit of toilet paper! Over all i would definitely love to go back to Tiara Beach Hotel and Sunny Beach as we had such an amazing lush holiday.

this was our second visit to this particular hotel and to be honest i cant see us ever staying anywhere else, it is fantastic, as the saying goes you get what you pay for, i have 3 children 16, 18, 22 and a 5 yr old and not one of them wanted to come home, the staff are fantastic particuly the bar staff, the cleanliness of hotel is beyond spotless and the food is gr8 and has improved from last year when we went, i cant wait to go and book for next year asap. one of the best hotels to stay at in bulgaria yes a little bit more exspensive but worth every penny. my only bad comment is try not to travel with BULKAN airlines they are a disgrace. Another bonus is Bulgaria is so cheap a large pint of beer is 1 lv which is 50p in english money.

Just returned from Tiara Beach Hotel...myself hubbie and two teenage daughters, everything about the hotel we loved yes even the food and my girls can be quite picky. Service is second to non, we found that if you made the effort to chat to any employee they would happily chat in the best english they could. Our rooms were exceptionally clean, in fact cleaners were visible 24 hrs a day ,but never caused any disturbance.Reception staff spoke excellent english and were always on hand to deal with any questions. Entertainment staff made a good holiday even better. We never stopped laughing the whole two weeks.I had read reviews prior to going out to Bulgaria and quite frankly we almost cancelled with the bad reports but please don't worry, we saw only 3 beggars the whole two weeks and they dont harrass you,we did'nt see any prostitutes either like it say's in other reviews.Yes you need to be aware of safety from pickpockets but no more than you would in any other holiday destination common sense is all that is needed. We will certainly be going back without a shadow of a doubt.Nessebar is great for shopping cheapest way to get there is on the local bus only costs 1 lev each, the little train cost 3 lev each and they stop half way and you have to get on another little train and pay again! So please go and enjoy your hol's and make up your own mind...you'll not be disappointed.

  • Advice: it is suitable from the very young to the very old

My wife and I found the hotel to be very clean and worth the 4 star rating. Our room was superb and the maid service second to none. Our main gripe was the food, they tended to cater towards the German guests with plenty of salads and cold spicy meats, in the moernings you could get bacon but it was always cold. The drinks in the hotel bar was expensive compared to bars outside the hotel.
Just round the corner from the hotel is the " Old House restaurant and bar and they do excellent steaks and the beer is only 1 Lev for 1.2 litre compared to 3.50 for 1/2 pint at the hotel. We found Sunny beach to be too noisy at night with people hassling you to go to their bars and also gypsies selling cherries and also begging.
Nessebar is worth a visit, it is a lot quieter and you can get their for 1 Lev on the bus but watch out for pickpockets when the buses are packed.

Have just arrived back in England after spending a brilliant week in Tiara Beach hotel...i am already booking to go back in september!!
The hotel its self it beautiful and very clean, your room is cleaned every day and you are given fresh towels..the loaction is brilliant on the beach with a 10 min walk to the centre, Me and my friend found it a brilliant place to relax but also being 23 loved the fact we had the choice to go out to bars and clubs..its not a very english hotel more germans but this did not bother us in fact its rather nice"! staff are lovely friendly and help full.
The food is nice and fresh but i would say it is very European..but there is alot of choice and we did not struggle to find 4 courses each day! love the place!

  • Advice: very nice resort for both a relaxing or lively holiday

I stopped with my family this year at the Tiara Beach hotel in the sunny beach resort of Bulgeria. The hotel itself is very grand. The building is impressive with a luxurious reception. Regarding design, style and layout of the hotel - it deserves its 4 star rating. However, We were highly dissappointed with the food which was offered and the service that tiara beach hotel staff delivered.
The hotel room was spacious and in working order apart from the safe which was broke. When we had it replaced the second safe didnt like our code! This was highly frustrating.
The sun beds always had towells on them, and the pool was always filled with coulourful plastic inflatables.
Excursions were overlly priced and we didnt get a fair deal when it came to exchanging our money.
The entertainment on offer in the hotel was poor, it was more suited to a family with young children.
The food was greasy and covered in sauce. The fruit was overripe and I often saw bugs crawling on them! (ewwww) The bread was stale and there was always a big queue to get pancakes, coffee/tea and fruit juice. Needleess to say, we often ate out.
The resort itself was vey pleasant, with spors facilities and plenty of bars, restaurants and pubs.
Anyone visiting the sunny beach resort should spend at least one whole day at the beach.
As far as the representitive goes, we only saw her when we get picked up by the coach on the way back. She didnt have the desency to say anything to us!!!!
I was speaking to another family on our return to Burgas airport and she aggreed that the hotel didnt deserve its 4 starts. Dhe said her daughter wasnt allowed to play darts because the Germans said she cant as she wasnt 18! What a load of rubbish!!!!!!!!! Some german people there were reallu rude and ignorent.
I should like to return to Bulgeria again some day but I wont be stopping at this hotel again. Its doesnt meet the high expectations of its customers.
