Good hotel....Great location..read on for comprehensive info..
Stayed at this hotel last week, it was a pleasant experience. In my hunt I went through several reviews and several hotels but not all my questions were answered..hence I am going to list all relevant info to help you understand this property better. Location - very central, walking distance from KLCC shopping center and 10 mins walk to Bukit Bintang (KL's great night spot and shopping area). TGI restaurant 1 Min away, lots of clubs and pubs within 5 mins of walking distance..great location.. As location is central its also a... more
Super
The room is simply great - Housekeeping was excellent and they have the best staff - Staff is very good in advising you where to visit in Kuala lumpur. The Housekeeper is good and very friendly and really took care of us. My husband was not feeling well throughtout our trip and she made the effort to check on us and did everything she can to make our stay most pleasant!
Right in the heart of KL
I stayed in this hotel with my ex partner. We got a nice room on the 7th floor. The room is really spacious with big king size bed. The only problem is that because I like the cold, the temperature in my room doesnt go down below 16C. The breakfast bar is really good, friendly staff, we get daily local newspaper, nice swimming pool with no one there on the days we were there. There's also a fitness centre and sauna/steam room and again there was no one using it. The location of the hotel is a minute walk to the Monorail station or it's about... more
4-Star Hardware, 5-Star Service
You should admit that from the international standard, Equatorial is only a 4-star hotel. However, it has 5-star software! It's location is great within 3 mins walk to Raja Chulan Monorail station, 12 mins walk to Bukit Bintang (busy downtown), 1min walk to Julan Ramlee (bar and club) and 5 mins walk to Twin Towers and KLCC. The Chinese restaurant and the basement cafe are good and reasonably priced. The buffet breakfast is great with wide range of choices. However, the Japanese restaurant is a bit overpriced. The rooms are... more
Not Bad
Stayed here for 1 night with family. Not a bad hotel, a little tired looking on the outside but clean and modern looking on the inside. Rooms were clean and spacious. Toilets were very clean too. Overall a comfortable hotel with basic amenties and quite a few restaurants. Loved the location, KLCC is just a 15min walk away.
Friendly and efficient
Have stayed there in 2003 and 2006. Staff friendly and efficient. Probably 4* by European standards (5* locally). The standard rooms are large and well-furnished. The junior suites are very plush and welcome for a couple who recover from jet lag at different rates. The record keeping is comprehensive and they remember travellers from past visits. The breakfast buffet (very important for us) give a choice of both local and European food which suits a couple whose tastes differ at that time of day. Good bread is not widely... more
overall a nice stay here
Stayed here for 3 nights in Jun. 2007. Easy to find - signposted from the nearby monorail station (Raja Chulan), but you are probably better off in a taxi if u have luggage. Looks a bit tired on the outside and some of the room furnishings were also, but it was clean and had all you wanted. Had a room at the back of the hotel with a view of the Petronas towers (only a 10-15 min walk out through the back entrance of the hotel. Had a nice swim in the saltwater pool. tip- check the actual Hotel website for deals - there is... more
Great Price, Great Location
This hotel is located conveniently near many landmarks, and is also located a short walk away from numerous bars. Cabs drive by at all times of the day, so travel is ultra convenient here. The hotel staff was very hospitable and took time to answer all my questions. The rooms were clean and large. The morning breakfast I ate had numerous, delicious options. The only negatives I can think of are the fact they make you pay to use their internet services (wasn't too expensive, but was hoping such a nice hotel would allow users to surf a... more
Great Value and Location
This hotel offers great value and is in a good location near the Golden Triangle. Its within a 10 minute walk up to the main shopping areas at Bukit Bintang or a walk down to the KLCC shopping complex underneath the Petronas Towers. Also, its a short stroll to the latest shopping complex opened in KL, The Pavillion. The room I got was a suite but in actual fact, its two adjoining rooms, with one being converted into a lounge. The bedroom is the larger of the two rooms and has partial view of the Petronas Towers. The room itself is... more
Very nice hotel
Perfect for business travelers. They have a separate business check-in, separate breakfast buffet and separate concierge service. The room was nice. The hotel was in a great location. Very smooth and pain-free stay. They obviously know how to cater to business travelers.
