Sandals Inn Hotel

We went to Jamaica for Xmas and New year 2004/5 and booked at the Sandals inn. It was not to our taste mainly because of the noise outside from the road - this often went on till three am and started again at 6am and after a couple of nights we moved to Negril Sandals Oh what heaven a good nites sleep - generally though the staff were great and the reception staff, bell boy Kevin and managers could not do enough to help us When we went the food was not as good as at the other sandals - breakfast being very poor quality and service... more

My husband and I have no idea what Sandals Inn or Montego Bay are like....We never made it there. My husband and I booked a Sandals vacation in February of 2004 to celebrate our ten year wedding anniversary. How can anyone say that this hotel is worth anything like the money you have to pay for it???. Its rooms are from the 70s! with teak tvs, formica bathrooms, and lamps with no bulbs in the bedrooms!. The decor everywhere is chipped and the whole place is in desperate need of a make over, or better still... a bulldozer!. We had already booked to go to Sandals Inn prior to finding out about the Tripavisor website. The negative reviews seemed to outweigh the positives and we even considered changing the booking. After careful consideration we deceided to go for it and were glad we did! I fully agree with a number of comments around the drug dealers (just say no thanks and they leave you alone) and misleading pictures, but if it's beaches and waterports you're after then use the Mo Bay and Royal Carribean facilities. A bit late, but I didn't know about this website until recently. And I can't believe I am seeing negatives about the Inn. My husband and I were married at Sandals Inn. We had a lot of confusion with our travel agent regarding the exact date and time of the wedding. But once we got to the resort - No Problem Mon! Late review but better late then never. My hubby and I stayed at this resort for our honeymoon for 10 days May 31-April 09 2002. First off all- the travel brouchures were very misleading. The hotel was yellow and in the brochure looks prestine and white. They picture the beach across the street-secluded with water sport equiptment on it- there was NO water sports to be had at that location and the beach was shared with the locals- so if you like being harrassed by locals - not fun at all. Please ignore the negative reviews. These people are probably never happy. If want a fun, relaxing vacation with excellant service for the best value go to Sandals Inn. The staff was great. The food was good. The shuttle service to the bigger resorts runs on time. I can't wait to go back.

We went to Sandals Inn Jamaica Montego Bay. Service = A+ Staff was very kind and friendly and made us feel at home. Played volleyball with us and truly made friends. Gave a few gifts to them upon departure and saw tears that were genuine. Food = B+ clean and best at the other 2 Sandals locations due to greater selection which you can visit all three when you stay at Sandals. Great wonderful room service! We arrived on 9th September 2004 about 15 hours before "IVAN" all other guests (except 4 other brits) had been removed from the island - we should of been stopped at Heathrow but were not!! Anyway we arrived much to the surprise of the management but they were fantastic putting our minds at rest (to be honest it was too late to anything else). We stayed at Sandals Inn in February '04 and were hugely disappointed. Unlike the brochure pictures, the hotel was cramped and was separated from the beach ( public and very small) by a main road. Hence lots of noise. The room was allegedly Grand Luxe Ocean View. I don't think so. It was modest in size and in need of serious upgrading. You also had to have the neck of a giraffe to see the sea!
