Thirteen of us got back from the Rosehall resort on the 19th August after spending two glorious weeks.
The flight was ten hours long, so it was boring! We were fed three times on the flight, I have never been fed that amount of times on any flight. The transfer was already waiting for us and with thirty mins of leaving the airport we had reached the Rosehall.
We were given a welcome cocktail and as soon as we had checked in we went to our spacious, well decked out rooms. Our rooms were on the first floor which is also on the ground. We had terraces which was handy as the kids could run between the four rooms and we could all chill out on the grass. The rooms were decorated to a high standard and we had a mini bar with water. There was a coffee maker and dressing gowns. The safe in the closet was easy to use.
The restaurants were great, the pool bar was lovely as you didn't have to get out of the pool to get drinks. Owen and Donald made the best cocktails. On the whole, the staff were very friendly. We chatted with many of them and knew them by name.
The lazy river and the slides; well, they're a must. We stopped at several hotels on the way to Negril on a tour and from the outside, I must say, they weren't as impressive as Rosehall.
This was my first trip to Jamaica and I would definately stay at the Rosehall again if I took a trip to Jamaica. It was remarkable!!

Absolutely fantastic
The best holiday I have been on. The food was great. It cost £1187 per person for a fortnight, which was for a wedding. We were welcomed with drinks and had our luggage carried up to our rooms. Benefited from wireless internet. The pools and beach were fab.
This is a dream holiday.
We can't wait to go again

Fantastic holiday! Got back yesterday (19th May) after 2 weeks with my partner, mom and nan. The bell desk men helped us upstairs with the luggage and were given a complimentary welcome drink. The rooms were fantastic, spacious and bright. All the pools were open. The holiday rep was fantastic as I lost my bag at the airport and she found it for me. All in all, it was a fantastic holiday and I would definitly go again.

The resort was excellent, other than it was not finished. The was pool was closed, as was the poolside bar and the area around this was a mixture of mud, rubble and JCB's, none of which we were advised about before we travelled, by Thomson.
We were offered £5 a day(per person) compensation by Thomson, before we left Jamaica, which we found insulting. Despite sending photo's to Thomson of the building site, they refused to offer any additional compensation, above the total £20 per day total offered, for our £1000 a day holiday.
The resort will now be finished and the place and people are very good, but just in case anything goes wrong, I would strongly recommend not travelling with Thomson, as they will not take seriously any problems that arise. I understand Thomas Cook offered £500 per person for their customers in the same resort, so maybe travel with them.

We had our honeymoon here back in January. The hotel is great but I would like to go back one day to see what it is like after all the rooms had been revamped.
While we were there they were just about finished with one of the wings and no doubt about to start on ours. There was no noise or disruption due to the work and the room we had was of very generous proportions with a view of the sea/ golf course but was a little tired around the edges although was very clean.
The general style of the hotel was lovely and the staff really friendly. The food was actually really nice with a good selection and was nice and hot. The location was excellent being right on the beach and the pool and lazy river was nice.
The only issue for us was the lack of entertainment at the hotel and the death defying roads if you decided to have a trip anywhere.
Would definitely like to go back for an anniversary in a couple of years, we are off to play golf in Egypt this year!

Had an absolutely fab time. Only problems were that the daily activities for kids etc often didn’t happen. If you weren’t brimming with enthusiasm then they didn’t push the issue. Some people need a bit of a shove to get involved.
Food okay but outdoor dining sometimes uncomfortable due to intense humidity, although there was a opportunity to eat at an indoor restaurant. Beach fab but stony upon entry. People fab water sports great.

We visited this hotel for our honeymoon and paid just over £2,000 to stay all inclusive with our 2 year old for a week.
On arrival it looks very impressive with a lovely beach on the hotel grounds and very large swimming pool with water slides and river rapid.
During our stay a few people had ear infections from the pool, including my husband who was in a great deal of pain on the plane home.
The let down were the rooms, they were no way of 4 star standards, very run down and dated. We also had a few cockroaches!
It's a shame because the rooms were big with excellent views onto the ocean but just so shabby, and the bathrooms really grubby and the taps and showers didn't work properly.
The rest of the hotel was very dated too, very early 80’s; the whole place could do with renovating.
The food wasn't fantastic either and not much choice for children, there were no ice creams for the kids through the day either and you had to pay full price for any food ordered through room service even if all inclusive.
The food that was cooked outside was swarmed with flies.
The entertainment was no good for families; it seems to be all focused on couples and honeymooners even though it advertises as a family hotel.
Overall this place was definitely not good value for money, it was more of a three star hotel and overpriced.

Me and my fiancé went to the rose hall resort I paid £1500 each to stay for a fortnight.
I thought the food was excellent, with a choice of different foods on throughout the week.
We had a sea room view which was very spacious and very clean; the maids are very nice and took pride in making the room look very clean and tidy.
Down in the lobby you can book days out to different places which I really enjoyed as we went quad biking, we also took a trip to the y's waterfall for anyone who is going to Jamaica, I really do recommend you take a visit it was stunning.
The night life was very entertaining and they had lots of different things on like Jamaican dances, DJ's, singers and crab racing for the kids and for anyone who likes to dance the nightclub was good and the Jamaica’s really know how too party.
The pool at the rose hotel was brilliant as were the staff that we found very friendly and helpful all in all it was one of the best holidays I have ever been on and would go again.

Wow, this is the second time we have been to the Rose Hall and can't wait to go again, would happily be back on a plane tomorrow!
The hotel was a little dated when we visited, but everything else makes up for it. They have also recently had a huge refurb. throughout and the pictures look wonderful.
The food is amazing, and has variety, the fruit is just out of this world. There's always pleanty of food and drink, and service is fast and friendly.
The people are friendly and helpful, and always willing for a chat.
What else can I say, day consisted of getting up, having amazing breakfast, going round the amazing lazy river and pool complex, having fab lunch, more swimming and sunbathing, having dinner and most of all just chilling.
Everyone and everythings "Easy goin' mon!".
We also went on a few excursions, Dunn's River Falls via Cool Runnings Catamaran, The Martha Brae River Rafts, swimming with the Dolphins in Ohio Rios, day out at beach in Negril, Negril Lighthouse, Ricks Cafe, Montego Bay Hipstrip and trip up to the house of the White witch of Rose Hall.
Can't really say much more just love it, and can't wait to go back.

First things first, remember to have plenty of five dollar bills for tipping when you visit Jamaica, even if you are all inclusive! Paid £1500 each for a fortnight all inclusive at The Wyndam and thought it was about its money.
Nice beach, golf course, buffet restaurant was very good, excellent pool with a lazy river and a couple of water slides for kids. Staff very friendly and helpful (especially when tipped), entertainment not great but if you want good food and drink a nice beach and golf course the Wyndam is very good.
