Great staff, great place
from AndyUK-Spain
We, a family of four, kids 14 and 12, thought Grenada was great and that Blue Horizons is a good base for exploring the island. Best aspect of the hotel is its very efficient management ... things get repaired quickly if they go wrong, for example, and its staff, one or two of whom were exceptionally kind and thoughtful. We had a large unit for the four of us ,,, the sofa bed we had hoped would serve for our two kids was too small for that which meant we didn't have the privacy we had hoped for in the main bedroom as we ended up...

fantastic

We stayed in a deluxe suite which was clean, light and comfortable.tThe bathroom was big with a lovely powerful shower(always hot water).Well equipt kitchen and a lovely view of the gardens .The pool was small but always empty and our kids loved it.They loved swimming at 9pm while we played backgammon. The location was great,we hired a car and enjoyed going to various beaches especially mourne rouge(5 mins drive) and our favourite sargasse beach, absolutely stunning. We found good ,cheap local restaurants our best being,La boulangerie and the...

Good quiet hotel
from rugbyliverpool
In the past we have stayed at LAE Cottages and True Blue. This time we decided it would be nice to be near Grand Anse so we chose Blue Horizons. We like the space offered by self catering cottages which is important with children. Blue Horizons proved a good choice with plenty of space. One comment is that there is only 1 bedroom so we had to share 2 double beds and 1 bathroom with the kids. Not a problem for us but others may think so. None of the cottages have 2 bedrooms. The kids were happy playing in the pool the gardens ( very well...

Well appointed, well run and overall nice place
from caribseeker
My wife and I spent a week at Blue Horizons in late May, our 4th stay over the last dozen years or so. Rooms are clean, comfortable and well taken care of by the maid. They have been recently renovated. We had a separate sleeping and living area, kitchen and balcony, all very well furnished. The staff is friendly and helpful, but it is not a resort where you will be pampered, and you have to make your own activities. It is located on a quiet road, separated by a narrow strip of undeveloped land used partially a pasture (with real animals)...

Low-key and Comfortable
from Geographer
I agree with the recent reviews. We stayed at Blue Horizons for two weeks at the end of January/beginning of February. This is a low-key but very comfortable resort. The many photos on the hotel’s web site are an accurate visual portrayal of the rooms and the grounds. The rooms are excellent. We stayed in a deluxe suite (a semi-detached cottage) with a spacious living room, separate bedroom and fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. The basic structure of the cottage withstood the force of hurricane Ivan but everything else was destroyed....

Nice Resort, pity about the position
from espley
We stayed at Blue Horizons for 10 days after 4 days at the Rex Grenada beginning of Feb 2006. The cottages are set in beautiful gardens which have a wide variety of birds. We had booked a Deluxe One Bedroom Suite for the two of us. We were first shown a Suite high up the hill but near the road. The view of the dump and police station was not particularly attractive and the suite felt dark and uninviting. Mnagement were very helpful & after a short wait changed us to a suite overlooking the pool and gardens. This Suite felt light...

Grenada, don't change!
from Mohilianum
My husband & I stayed at the Blue Horizons Garden Resort for 3 weeks which covered Christmas & New Year. This is our 5th trip to Grenada although our first stay at the Blue Horizons. We booked a deluxe suite, and bearing in mind that this is a 3 star accommodation, found it airy & quite comfortable & the surrounding gardens were well kept. We found all the staff friendly & helpful. There were quite a few mosquitos at night due to an unusual amount of rain for the end of the rainy season, it was never as wet on previous trips, but...

Little Gem

I must endorse everything the last reviewer has said about Blue Horizons and Grenada. This was our first visit and hopefully not our last. We went on the spur of the moment with LastMinute and although the UK end of the operation was lacking the tour operators in Grenada were charming. Thank you so much Bently and Cindy you certainly added to our holiday enjoyment. Grenada is a gorgeous bite sized little country and although evidence of hurricane damage is apparent, it is still beautiful and bursting with colour everywhere you...

Garden of Eden
from OntarioTraveller
Grenada,a nostalgia-laden island offering gorgeous scenery, tranquillity and, perhaps, the most civil and friendly population in the Caribbean. Imagine standing on two-mile long Grand Anse Beach at 10:30 on a weekday morning and looking down the beach to see one lone jogger and, perhaps, another half dozen people on the entire beach. This on a planet of 6.3 billion people and amidst a Caribbean/Gulf of Mexico tourism destination region of hundreds of thousand of all-inclusive resort rooms that disgorge throngs of tourists each day to heavily...

Very disappointing
from A TripAdvisor Member
We have just returned from a Christmas/New Year break at the Blue Horizon Garden Resort, Grenada but we would not recommend this hotel. The staff were not helpful and many had a generally sullen and surly attitude, with a couple of exceptions in the Reception. The meals in the "renowned" restaurant were of poor quality and took an absolute age to arrive - they were also greatly overpriced. The whole place lacked atmosphere and friendliness. The only entertainment - a steel band by the pool one evening - was not promoted or...
