I thought this hotel was small and grubby.
The staff were not at all friendly, the food was boring cold and repetitive.
Our room had a leak and we were told we would have to move to a room facing the road, when we protested we felt we were labelled trouble makers and were ignored by the staff at the bar and restaurant’s.
Outside of the hotel the island is lovely and I would go back, but not to this hotel.
The late night bar had staff children in it with the TV so loud we could not hold a conversation. The main bar tried to close at 22:30 not 23:30 as stated.
Altogether a hotel to give a wide berth too. I have been to Cuba, Dominican Republic and Grenada and this was without doubt the worst hotel with the staff from hell.

We got married in this lovely hotel with 15 of our friends and family. The beach was quite small, but also quite private. The staff couldn't do enough to help us and went out of their way to make it a fantastic holiday. This hotel tends to get a lot of repeat business and I can see why.
Overall, the destination was beautiful and scenic, the people were lovely and friendly and the excursions on offer were also great. We will definitely return to this hotel in the future.

We arrived expecting a few negatives due to website reviews; instead we had a great time and wished we had booked 2 weeks instead of 1.
People often expect the 4star rating to mean 4star but this is Barbados not London or Las Vegas, it is a very good, clean and friendly 3star plus with its own Spa which we used daily.
Food was varied and plentiful and drinks were always available after 10.30am.
Our deluxe room with a sea view was very well presented with decent beds (2 doubles for some reason) air conditioned and cleaned daily, fridge re-stocked and the TV even had a DVD player.
The beach is a little narrow but that just means it’s not so far to the water’s edge.
To re-cap if you are a typical Victor you will always find something to complain about, I did comment on 3 minor things when we arrived and they were put right the same day so full credit to this hotel and its staff, if we got the opportunity we would return.
You can take out the hotel "cats" yourself or hire one of the locals we used a Rasta called Keith who took us on his boat out to see the turtles on a "if you don’t enjoy the trip you don’t pay" basis( he charges between 50-60 US Dollars for what was a 2 hour trip.
Buses charge 1.50 Barbados to any destination and are very frequent.
Do book the submarine trip especially if you are taking children this was quite an experience.
We also did the starlight cruise and the 4 wheel jeep safari which were excellent.
If you really want "off road" then ask for Duane he is very good a bit scary at times but still safe.
We had a great time and wished we were still out there.
