Just returned from the jacaranda second year rumming, once agin a fantastic holiday.. So clean so many pools which are all fantastic, food is lovely ,staff are lovely ane friendly will be back next year for sure

Entertainment Excellent from Margywargy
We loved the Jacaranda & would certainly return, food good, hotel clean, all staff pleasant, excellent day time activities, if you wanted to join in, excellent evening entertainment in a club style room & nearby all the shopping & beaches you could want.
First time unhappy on this Island from A TripAdvisor Member
After having spent many years on the Canary Islands and never had problems before, we would not stay again in the Jacaranda, because one feels like a number and not a person in this hotel. On the ground-floor where we stayed first we could not sleep because of the vibration noise of the pool pipes. After complaining we moved after 3 days into another room. The food has no taste to it, and this should be a 4* hotel. A poor service in the dining room. At the pool the sunbeds are next to each other in three to four rows and the push-chairs for the kids can hardly move between them. The floor stones are very dangerous when they are wet.

JACARANDA For Risky Relaxation! Leaky roofs and balconies / Slippery tile floors all round / No safety treads for stairs nor pools / Non-functioning elevators during rain. Loud corridor noise / Heavy traffic out front / Locked escape doors / Ocean view from top floors only / No WARM pools (well, not really warm). And screaming kids all over the place.During rainstorms, the hotel leaks like a sieve. Everything stops and you are left in a dark and leaky room to fend for yourself. Good luck!

A relaxing week from A TripAdvisor Member
We went to the Jacaranda on a last minute holiday. My partener and i had a brill week much of it spent eating (good food) and relaxing in the sun people watching!!! I recommend that you visit the El Duque beach which is about a 20 min walk as it was superb with lighter sand, very clean almost carribean like! and sea that was excellent for swimming in. Playa Las Americas is about a 45 min walk (thank god) so it is far enough away! Go you will love it!

This was our first visit to the Jacaranda. We were very impressed with the hotel and found no fault with it. Everything was exceptional, except perhaps the Reps Show (sorry, but it wasn't the best and the meal which was included in the price was awful - just glad we'd eaten at the hotel first!).The food was delicious, the room was cleaned well and the staff helpful - can't wait to go back. The hotel is well positioned in a reasonably quiet area, yet near enough to the beach and night life.

,,,,,,,,THIS IS A WARNING!!!!!! DO NOT SHOP FOR ELECTRICAL GOODS (i,e digital cameras,etc) at the shops on way to the beach!!! like the <europe electronic> at fanabi as you will be robed!!!and you wiil come back home with an old in complet kit ,and no way of geting youre money back BE WARNED!!!!

Booked a half board late deal with Orchid Travel with my mother. The flight out was delayed by 2 hours but the one back on time. Hotel is lovely, standard of cleanliness great and the food is wonderful with so much choice nobody could be unsatisfied. We stayed on the ground floor but experienced no unwelcome visitors. There are fridges in the rooms you can hire for 1.20 euros per day. Room safes are additional. TV comes free - 3 English channels BBC world news, entertainment and a sports channel. The service excellent, we found a broken hairdryer and reported it and before we could get back to our room it was fixed. The beach (dark sand) lots of beach bars and Shopping at Playa Fanabe is good with most shops being cheaper than elsewhere in this part of Tenerife. Take a walk to Puerto Colon which is worth a visit and also to book boat trips which are cheaper than offered by reps. We spent a day at the beach at Los Christianos (yellow sand) no beach bars but a beautiful location and a large shopping area which can be a bit expensive. Playa del la Americas is where to go for night life if you are young but to me it felt threatening at night and a run-down dump by day. The reps offer a night at Decades - don't bother its aweful - all packed like sardines, free drink when you can attract a waiter, terrible food, and the the entertainment was mediocre. Beware of a chain of restaurants with large yellow menus which are much more expensive than the rest, especially for drink (there are 25 in the area).

it was a nice hotel but sometimes the staff were a bit slow and i found the hotel quite noisy. They really should stop that band playing till 11 or at least give them a new song list. The food was great and we all ate way too much. overall good but fumigation needs stepping up a bit as cockroaches are not welcome visitors in your room.
