as a family of mixed age group, we can honestly say we have enjoyed this holiday, the rooms we're a fantastic size, clean and spacious. the pool was brilliant for everyone, especially having 2 young children who can't swim. the entertainment at night was really good, the kids couldn't get enough of the dancing and are still dancing at home. the hotel was beautiful, clean and the food was good and the surrounding area was nice. can't wait to go back again!

we recently stayed at the jacaranda hotel with our 3 year old son. We always enjoy our holidays but this was particularly special due to the standard of accomodation, food and entertainment in the hotel.
Having great food for both breakfast and evening meal, lovely clean swimming pools - ideal for young families and the entertainment at night was great. the drinks for all inclusive was great and enjoyment for both children and adults was amazing. Definately rebooking x
- Advice: def great for families

Where do i start well the hotel its self was very nice and the staff could not do enough for us the rooms in them self where very clean and large with 2 large seperate beds which where very comfy. But if you like to look out of the veranda do not get a room on floor g as you will be sat in a jungle surounded by foliage having to keep your lights on day and night. There was not tea or coffee makeing equipment or ironing board or iron but you could hire them along with the use of the room safe also the room fridge was availabe for hire so if you needed theses items take extra money for them. If you did not hire a kettle the you have no chance of a drink after midnight untill 7am as all bars and resturant close then.
When it comes to meal time given that most of the guests are all inclusive (more of that later) meal times should have the back ground music of welcome to the jungle also as they only have about 200 tables to caterer for 600 rooms although meal times do last 3hrs no one are in a rush to leave there table but when they do leave them the staff do an excellent job of cleaning and relaying them, the food is nice but as you can imagine with a lot of people to feed there is a repetative theme, and dont expect tea or coffee with the evening meal they dont do it.
Speaking of drinks we upgraded ourselves to include the drinks package which we found out only included free drinks with the evening meal and no other time or bar.
The inhouse entertainment was not aimed at adults it followed a childrens disco and was aimed at them not only that the children where left to run wild after a day on free sugar

We really found this one of the better hotels we stayed in. Ideally situated for the beaches, restaurants, bars, entertainment and bus routes. The hotel big and comfortable but better signage to 6th floor and above (2 Lifts needed) would be good. Food very good quality and staff friendly and helpful. Age old problem with sunbeds on the lower pool area. Towels on some by 7.30 not being used until mid afternoon, this should be patrolled and towels removed, constant offenders daily. Smoking area in the lower entrance lobby to restaurant should be moved to another area,
as you have to walk through the cloud before entering.Adult pool, 1 child per adult and no inflatables, this soon went out the window when hotel became busy. Not fair on adults when there is a good choice of childrens pools available. All in all a good hotel and would return. Would recommend El Duque beach, 15 minute walk but well worth it.Take a lilo, sunbeds 12 euros per sunbed.

I was bitterly dissapointed with the hotel this time we went at new year and it was brilliant but this time it had dropped alot.
The restaurant was huge and the food had alsorts of ranges like chinese. But you couldn't put a meal together.
The pool area was clean and the pool was good. But for children like babies there was a slope into the deep pool which your children could fall down and drown.
The rooms were good and were very spacious which were cleaned good. We were given a bottom floor room with a road view and the traffic at night was bad! There was only 2 english channels on the tv if you wanted more you had to pay the safe had to be payed for and the fridge to use had to be payed for.
The area is nice 15 mins from the airport and a 5 min walk to the beach. It had good bars to eat out. Overall i wouldn't go back.

not long come back from staying at hotel jackaranda, was bitterly dissapointed with quality of accomodation while public areas quite clean and pretty, the restraunt and bedrooms left a lot to be desired, the restraunt was huge and unfriendly the staff made a good effort but the restraunt was too big to give a feeling of personal service and there was no real structure to the food although there was plenty to eat you could not put a decent meal together. We stayed on an all inclusive basis and you were supposed to be able to get snacks through out the day but these consisted of cakes at some time during day and sandwiches at night?.
The bedrooms which were dated are spacious but not comfortable and we had two while we stayed there I had to complain about the 1st bedroom we were given as the aircon didnt work, one of the beds was falling to bits and there were road works in the street outside which woke you early in the morning.
The 2nd bedroom was a bit better at least the aircon worked but one of the beds was still a bit wobbly and as we found to our disgust later in the week the mattreses had stains on them and one was ripped and the springs were coming through.
So if you want 4star luxury and comfortable rooms dont go to this hotel worst hotel I,ve ever stayed in.
Also the entertainment of a night time is downstairs in a night club type of room which feels very claustrophobic I am afraid I could go on forever about this hotel because it was such a bad holiday experience

the hotel was very clean and spacious, the rooms were very clean and tidy.the staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpfull. The hotel itself is situatied in a good place, near to the beach. We went all inclusive but we feel that it wasnt all inclusive it just felt like full board with drinks included,in other all inclusive hotels we have stayed in there was food all day long.
- Advice: Costa Adeje is a lovely pklace to visit and would recommende it.
- Activities: siam park and lora park is a must.

Hotel is huge, very spacious and clean and the decor is modern. Most of the staff were friendly but not all of the guests were, particularly Germans who were quite rude and arrogant in the buffet queue's in the restaurants and seemed to resent the fact they had to share the hotel with anyone British. The rooms are nicely decorated, as is all of the hotel but the beds were really really hard and uncomfortable. Food was ok but could have been more varied. We were all inclusive so we were disappointed in the snacks available outside of restaurant times, like afternoons and late mornings. Have stayed in other hotels where all inclusive includes a variety of snacks including hot food but this hotel offered dry rolls at the side of the bar, with some sliced meats in the fridge where you could make your own sandwich. Also no ice cream or slush or anything like that for kids which is always a plus on all inclusive and most hotels still offer this as standard. It was also quite difficult to get a sunbed unless you were out there early reserving one with your towel. Entertainment was excellent with professional shows every night and the animation team were friendly and hard working. Overall, the hotel is of a good clean standard but is let down on the lack of availability for all inclusive customers. If not for this and the uncomfortable beds I'd have given it a higher score but it definitely lost points on food and comfort.

A good hotel which lives up to its 4-star rating.
The rooms were clean and spacious; staff friendly and helpful; public areas spotless and well-tended.
Pools had life-guards on duthy whenever the pools were open.
Food was plentiful, varied and of a good standard.
There were plenty of activities for those who wished to join in and evening entertainment of a reasonable standard.
The resort itself is somewhat tacky and certainly not pretty. However, within easy reach are shopping centres, markets and water parks. There is no problem in getting buses or taxis.

We travelled as a party of 6 in December 08 as my wife was 40 whilst we were there. We stayed on a half-board basis and the Jacaranda was an absolutely great place to stay with very helpful and polite staff. Although we hadn't informed staff that my wife was 40, we were left chocolates in our room on her birthday and entertainment staff gave her a bottle of bubbly and balloons! The room I had with my wife and daughter was perfectly large and air conditioned. Ours was on the lower ground floor (the same as the main pools, so we were only a short stroll from the sun loungers. The restaurant catered for a variety of tastes, although our only criticism would be that there was not a huge selection for fussy children like our daughter. That said, there was always something she could eat. The entertainment for children in the evening was good but repetative, although that didn't seem to bother the children who danced and jumped about life dafties ! The adult entertainment later in the evenings ranged from mediocre to excellent. The Temptations tribute group were particularly good. The Jacaranda had plenty of organised entertainment during the day, ranging from the now expected Bingo to water sports, pool, archery and air rifle shooting. The hotel is situated 5 minutes walk from the sea and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. If you want a special meal, as we did for my wife's 40th, try "Coeur de Filet", which is 5 mins walk from the hotel. It is a bit more expensive than others locally, but the food was superb. All in all we loved th hotel, would recommend to others and we intend to go back in December 09.
