We decided on Cyprus for our honeymoon and the Atlantica Bay was recommended to us by friends who have been coming to this hotel up to 3 times a year for the last 12 years! We were not disappointed! This hotel was fabulous. It was spotlessly clean, the food excellent and the staff were so friendly and welcoming.
We opted for a Superior Room and it was well worth it, the views were stunning. We really couldn't find fault with this hotel at all. The only small point we would make is that the hotel is a little far out, but unless you just want to lie at the pool all day it would be a good idea to budget for a hire car, which we did, and as Limassol is central to the island, you can reach almost anywhere in roughly an hour.
Car hire wasn’t all that expensive and for a good deal see Valentino at the lobby bar, him and his lovely wife also do a car hire business close to the hotel. We will most definitely be back to 'The Bay'.

The Atlantica Bay hotel was perfect for my husband and I in every way. The food was fantastic and plenty of it. The beach was a short walk but we spent hours there and could have a cool drink from the bar nearby.
The rooms were spotlessly clean and the views over the sea and the pool was stunning. There were plenty of buses to take us into Limassol town where we strolled for hours. The two local pubs were great and we got everything we needed in the supermarkets.
There was pool side entertainment every night although we were not to keen on the reps contribution, a bit too Hi de Hi. The only drawback to our holiday was the lack of pavement leading over to the supermarkets and the pubs. The traffic did seem too close for comfort at some times.

We booked a Thomson gold holiday for a relaxing break away from children. Although Thomson do not allow British children, there were a lot of foreign children there. A child free holiday should mean just that.
Our room was excellent a superior it's worth paying the extra with superb sea views. The gala dinner should be optional. Night entertainment a bit noisy outside right under our room.
Staff excellent, reps excellent, food excellent. This hotel came second to Atlantica golden beach in Paphos which is an excellent hotel and we will return too next year not this one.

The hotel was extremely good. The pool areas and beachside area were extremely well kept. The beach was very disappointing being small, dark sand and pebbles (not inviting at all) but the hotel made up for that with its facilities.
The management and staff could not do enough for you, nothing was too much trouble for them. Everywhere was clean and apart from being off the beaten track, I would highly recommend it. There was not much to do at night. Some of the professional entertainment was good fun but I cannot stand the reps trying to be funny and entertain everyone (sorry about this guys).
Its quite embarrassing to watch. They are not professional entertainers and should stick to their daytime jobs. The variety of food was of a high standard and the choices were endless. Hotel was top class but being away from everything was its only downside.

After reading not so good reviews regarding this hotel I was pleasantly surprised when we got there. The apartments were very spacious and clean, and staff very helpful. The pools and gardens were fab and although we only ate in the hotel once it was very nice with lots of choice. Other reviews stated that there were lots of cats (I hate cats) but I only seen one the whole time there.
There isn't any beaches as such so we asked a local and they told us to take a taxi to a little beach outside the resort this cost about 10 Cyprus pounds (can't remember what it was called- if you ask someone they will know it is not the lady's mile), the beach was quite with a few cafes and bars so it was a lovely day out.
There is a Mexican restaurant where we went which turned out to be the best Mexican I have ever had- it not easily found it is on the right hand side of the street and you turn up to get to it.
All in all it was a great weeks holiday.

Atlantica Hotel has got to be one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The food was Fabulous, every night there was a different choice and believe me they were meals to die for. The staff were superb always smiling and very friendly.
And the best thing was the entertainment at night times. Adam, Jackie and Bella did most of the entertainment and all the time their shows were funny and full of life (worth seeing). During the day Adam, Jackie and Bella do different activities during the whole day, which everyone can join in (and if you win you get a certificate).
So overall I will never forget my time in Atlantica Hotel and i regard it as one of my top 5 holiday destinations.

No one mentions that adjacent to the hotel there is major building works for a large development of villas and apartments. We were very disappointed to find our room overlooking the site. after some heavy talking with the manager they found us another room away from the noise. The hotel was beautiful and we did have a wonderful holiday, excellent food, lovely staff, good entertainment etc.
There is not much around the hotel, really on the outskirts of the town and no footpaths so quite dangerous at night if you did want to venture out to the two local pubs and a couple of supermarkets. One other thing, if you don't like cats this could be a problem since there is quite a large family living in the hotel gardens. They know all about mealtimes and of course all the soppy Brits feed them!

Went for one week with partner and 4 yr old son. First week of summer season. Accommodation allocated on arrival but only from a choice of 2 and the other hotel was full before we even left England!
Thomson state hotel is a 4 star but sign outside hotel states 3 star, which I tend to agree with.
Hotel staff were very helpful and rooms were clean and adequate. At first they refused to let men into the restaurant in 3/4 trousers (discrimination and we are all part of the EU) but after a "discussion" with the rep and the restaurant manager this policy was changed. Still no shorts allowed at the evening time.
Food was ok but they seem to think that all children eat chips and chicken nuggets for every meal.
Hotel quite a way from anything and the black sand beach is next to a very busy race track (ohps, mean dual carriageway) that the young local lads used on a regular basis.
Haven’t ruled out a return to Cyprus but won’t go back to Limmassol.

This is an excellent hotel, the staff are very friendly and waiters around the pool very efficient.
Food was excellent, good variety and plenty of it. The Gala Night was superb, cocktails with management and senior staff, on the terrace, then escorted to candlelit dinner sitting on the pool terrace free flowing wine topped off with good music from the resident band.
Rooms are large well furnished, and spotlessly clean, as is everywhere in the hotel. Plenty of room around two pools to get that suntan. It was our first time in this hotel, majority of the guests had been two or three times before, and some go back every year.
There are organised games all day for the more energetic, and prizes to be won. All in all a really relaxing holiday, with excellent food, in an excellent hotel, have booked again for 2005 10/10 try it.

Hotel and staff were probably better than one would expect, cleanliness was a priority for the hotel staff, food and welcome by the restaurant manager each day was a delight. Would recommend hotel. The Thomson reps were very helpful and knowledgeable and provided excellent entertainment each day.
One downside to our stay was the hiring of a car from Europcar the personnel from that company are dishonest and untruthful and we were swindled out of money for fuel.

This is classed as 4* with Thomsons there is no way, other companies class this as 3* I don’t know where they get 4 from avoid if possible. There is not much to do in the area you are well out from anywhere. The market place in the old town is good try and call in to the open cafe called Petros he will make you laugh and meet good English locals that live there they are very friendly.

This hotel is brilliant. The hotel is clean, with lovely decorations. This hotel in my opinion is 5*. The food is great, with a great selection every day. I would recommend getting the drinks package that is available to half board people.
The pool and beach area is also very clean and the staff are extremely polite, always asking if they can get you a drink. The waitress staff are also very polite.
The hotel is a little out of town, but there are buses every ten minutes for only 80p, that takes you straight into town.
I would recommend this hotel. It is one of the best I’ve been to.
