Jun 2007, Miss C A  Harper

I really enjoyed my stay at the Atlantica Bay hotel. I was warned before I went that it was a hotel for older couples and being only 21 and going with my parents for a week away in the sun, this worried me. This didn't prove to be an issue and I had a wonderful time.
The rooms where excellent and the noise from the building site wasn't really an issue for me. It was excellent that me and my parents had adjoining rooms with a through door which meant I was never too far away from my family.
The drinks where superb (if you’re going make the most of the upgrade drinks offer as it saves a lot of money on half bored).the food was also of a high quality and even being a vegetarian there was plenty of choice.
Overall all the staff where fantastic, waiters and entertainment and I can’t wait to book my next holiday.
Thinking of going to Rhodes to an Atlantica hotel there as I truly have the luxury bug I was offered from this hotel on my holidays.

Jun 2007, Mr B  Morris

Hotel is in a poor location, nothing around, beach is poor, black sand and quite unpleasant.
Tennis court in poor condition as was the Table tennis table and the pool table, which was broke most of the time.
Thomson reps very helpful as was the hotel staff. Rooms very clean but air con very temperamental, reported it but nothing was done!!
Food very good as was the evening entertainment, swimming pool was good and very clean.
Overall a pleasant holiday but been to much better hotels for the money, you could do 5 star in the Caribbean for what this Holiday finally cost, massive bonus not having kids around, very relaxing!

Fantastic! My mum and I went over to...

May 2007, Miss K Dunne

Fantastic! My mum and I went over to share the happy day of my best friend as she married the man of her dreams, in this fantastic country.
The Hotel was absolutely stunning; with first class features everywhere you looked... The staff were friendly and polite.
On arrival my mum and I were really disappointed with our room as it over looked the tennis court and we had specifically asked for and paid extra for a sea view, but it was no trouble, as we sat by the pool enjoying the sun our bags were moved to a new room with the views we had wanted and much more...
The food was fantastic, the pools were lovely (if a little cold) the location was quiet out of the way but there were still shops and eating places nearby.
The beach was lovely and having the added extra of the private beach bar and snack bar with sunloungers, showers and toilets it was great.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone one and I would definitely go back.

My husband and I have just returned...

Apr 2007, Mrs K Tanner

My husband and I have just returned from a wonderful week at the Atlantica Bay Hotel.
We enjoyed a first class holiday there despite the weather not being what is usually expected in Cyprus.
We just could not find one thing wrong with the hotel. The service and staff are wonderful and just couldn't do enough for us to make our week's holiday perfect.
The food was excellent. Not chips or pizza, as this is an adult’s only holiday, with fresh vegetables and a great choice of food at every meal.
The entertainment was the best we have experienced in all inclusive hotels. Every night there was entertainment.
The best night, in my opinion, was the in-house show where the resident entertainers: Dan and Jo, plus Thompson reps, put on their own show.
Every night there was a show or entertainers worth watching. The resident singing duo Stu and Tanya were very good and we enjoyed them very much.
The bar staff and waiters were wonderful. Some all inclusive hotels keep you waiting for drinks, hoping to cut you down, I expect, but here they were constantly refilling glasses with a big smile and service was second to none.
Many of the guests had been to the hotel many times before, and I could certainly see why.
We will certainly be returning. I couldn't recommend this hotel more. Perfect for couples of all ages.

Just back from Atlantica Bay.great...

Mar 2007, Mr Roger Payne

Just back from Atlantica Bay.great Hotel and great atmosphere. Staff were brilliant especially Monika, Urzula and Valentino.
Special thanks also to Maria for a very nice gala night on Tuesday. A big thank you to the zany Jo for being a great sport in the entertainments section and wow this girl can sing,(and laugh). The food becomes a bit monotonous after a while. Do make sure to go All inclusive or upgrade. Music definitely 50/60's style, almost like going back in a time warp.
Position of Hotel poor is probably the only real complaint except the weather during our week. It was actually colder in Cyprus that is was at Gatwick on our first day. Great holiday place for the over 50's but trips out from hotel were expensive. £50 for day trip to North Cyprus way too much. Overall 8 out of 10

Mar 2007, Mr M Turner

This was our second visit in the last 6 months and, if anything, was even better than our first. The food was first class and the choice always varied, the staff were all friendly and most helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
The room was great and we brought our own kettle (a lesson we learned from our first visit), the town is just a short bus ride away and the beach is only a few metres across the road, the nearby ruins offer an absorbing incite into Limassols past history and we will return to this hotel later in the year.
All in all we can thoroughly recommend this " Thompson" holiday and this hotel to one and all.

Just come back from a week at this...

Mar 2007, Miss D Balser

Just come back from a week at this hotel, we went half board and had the option on arrival to go on the drinks package 9.75 Cyp pound a day and well worth it.

This hotels location is not great and there were no real taverns within easy walking distance, the local bus runs regular and its only 80 cents to Limassol
The beach is not great, mainly pebble and the sea is rather like the Atlantic.

On the up the hotel staff are fantastic, could not be more friendly and helpful, bar staff were great, and a great thanks to go Monica, Urzula, could not have done more, great service.
Rooms was great, only snipe we had was that we paid for a superior room, and was told that if we wanted to use the fridge just to put water in, we would have to pay extra for this, though some of the less superior rooms the fridges were not locked, and guest could use them.
Food was great could not fault it.
The evening entertainment is poor, nothing starts to 9.30-10pm and even then, it never really gets going, the band play songs and they send most be to sleep.

The Thomson reps were great and day activities were a bit of fun and quite a lot joined in.
Would I go back? Most probably not, love the hotel, loved the staff, but did not enjoy the location or the evening entertaining, average temp 22C good for March.

My wife and I got married while on...
10 / 10
Jan 2007, Mr D Phillips

My wife and I got married while on holiday and both the hotel and tour operator could not have done more for us.
We booked half board with standard room but we were upgraded to a suite upon arrival and were delighted to find a bottle of champagne on ice and also a basket of fruit in our room.
We decided to upgrade ourselves to the all inclusive drinks package and found it well worth it.
The room was fresh and clean and we had a great view from our balcony which was large with room for sun beds and table and chairs. The views of the sunrise from the balcony were truly amazing.
ALL the staff at the hotel were polite and very friendly and were always pleased to help us in any way.
On our wedding day the hotel provided drinks for guests to toast our wedding, and a wedding cake was also provided.
As far as the entertainment was concerned, we both found it very much to our taste with both of us loving 60's and 70's music. The duo Roscoe have an extensive range of songs from the 50's to the 90's and they did not repeat any song within 1 week.
I requested a song from them on the eve of our wedding and gave them a choice of 3 different numbers and they did all 3. As a couple we were spoiled by the Thomson staff. The entertainment team gave us a bottle of champagne on our wedding evening. We both thought this was a lovely touch.
On our day of departure, our flight was delayed by 8 hours but instead of just taking us to the airport and leaving us there, we were able to stay at the hotel and provided us with meal and drink.
Believe me being able to stay at the hotel in comfort is much much better than being stuck in an airport for 8 hours.
We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Atlantica Bay and we loved Cyprus. We would certainly stay at this hotel again and again.
If any one is thinking of getting married you could do no better than choosing Cyprus and the Atlantica Bay Hotel. We would recommend this holiday to everyone.
We cannot thank the Thomson and Hotel staff enough and the good friends we made during out stay. Once again thanks for a great time Dave and Denise.

Had a week here, quite enjoyable,...

Dec 2006, stevie p

Had a week here, quite enjoyable, went on half board basis and on arrival upgraded to beverages only at about £11 per day, a good move as the drinks are expensive. Also you get a kettle in your room, and no need to go to the shops for bottled water.
This was a Thomson gold hotel but there were children from mainly Italy and Germany. A lot of building work going on nearby, but not a problem.
Entertainment was great if you enjoy 50s & 60s music, if not then oh dear. I think they were catering for the 50/70 age group as this was the average age whilst we were here.
I can’t fault the evening meals, but the cooked breakfast, not good in my opinion. Plenty of fruit and cereals though. There were many people walking out of the restaurant with food and the management saw this and said nothing.
You will need to get the bus to the main town which does stop over the road from the hotel, if you want more life.
One thing to watch for, the hotel does not run onto the beach, there is a main road outside before it and it gets quite noisy. The room balcony was very small and easily over looked by the next room. However the rooms themselves were clean and pleasant.
The Germans are reserving sun beds from 630am, so take your alarm clock. The staff were very pleasant and polite bar the odd one. We also had a power cut for most of the day, during which, you can’t get beer or cold drinks.
It’s not a place I would personally go back to, but I am glad I tried it.

Dec 2006, Mrs D Bocking

Myself and partner came 2yrs ago to Atlantica Bay we were so impressed with the hotel, staff, and food that we came back for our honeymoon in August 2006.
We had an executive suite and we felt like royalty it was out of this world. We could not have had a better Honeymoon. Yet again the staff were brilliant and food was excellent. We are going to book again for August 2007 for our 1st Anniversary.

We stayed at Atlantica Bay for a week...
6 / 10
Nov 2006, Miss K L Brown

We stayed at Atlantica Bay for a week in August 2006 on an all inclusive basis. The hotel was beautiful and most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. One of the male reps however was very mardy and sulky. He spent most of his time bragging about his female conquests and chatting up female guests than doing his job.
The location is a little remote and there are no other bars/restaurants within a short walking distance so if you do not like the entertainment provided, you have no choice! A taxi to the local night life will set you back by £10 pounds.
There are two shops within the hotel, one is a jewellers and the other is a general shop. The jewellers are a definite must because the jewellery is gorgeous and the staff are really nice! The general shop always seemed be closed when we called. It closes early one afternoon and doesn't open at all another day and definitely does not stick to the hours on the door.
In the seven days we stayed there, we had 5 power cuts, the majority at night, just as you were getting ready for the evening meal. It took at least an hour to come back on and I spent most of my time putting my make up on in the corridor!!
The bar closes at 1am and your last order has to be in at 12.30 and there is NO movement on this time at all. The food is nice and there is plenty of choice however it gets boring towards the end.
We enjoyed our time there as we made the most of it. We made some fantastic friends and we still keep in touch. Without them I don't think any of us would have enjoyed it the same.

Just back from Cyprus we stayed at...

Aug 2006, Graham McCall

Just back from Cyprus we stayed at the Atlantica bay hotel in Limassol where my wife and I celebrated our silver wedding the staff were superb in every way no mater who you are the service is the same first class.
From the pool bar to the restaurant beach bar and the hotel bar the staff are continuously making sure that you have all the refreshments you need from soft drinks, snacks, cocktails, water.
In the restaurant the service is the same and the range of food and presentation were excellent a buffet style service with different choices every day and night and the a la carte restaurant was even better. The entertainment in the hotel was above average with different styles of acts most nights but the best night is a Tuesday when the hotel puts on a gala dinner where everybody eats outside.
You are introduced to all the hotel management on the terrace and have drinks and canapés then shown to your seat where all the tables have crisp white linen covers on the tables and seats and gold balloons tied to the chairs. After the meal is the reps show which was quite good then a comedian and music to finish.
We stayed in a superior room with a sea view this was a good choice we had champagne and fruit on arrival bath robes and slippers sky TV and a CD player.
Maids were in every day with clean towels and placed chocolates on our pillow every night. The Thompson staff were very good and knowledgeable of the local area and most important there when you needed them.
The location of the hotel is on the outskirts of Limassol and does not have much around it there is a bus that runs into the main resort every ten minutes and taxis are reasonable. I would recommend all inclusive as it can be expensive to buy drinks in the hotel.
