Camel Dive Club & Hotel

I spent Easter weekend in Sharm El Sheikh and as a diver, chose Camel Dive for both diving services and hotel. I must admit, it was some of the very best service I ever experienced. I've been lucky to have traveled the world and loved staying at this hotel. The diving staff was extremely friendly and organized and the customer service of the staff blew us away. Decided to stay at the Camel Hotel because of the central location and was very impressed. Right in the centre of all the action but yet surprisingly quiet in our room at night. On-site restaurants are excellent but not really what you'd call local food since ones an Italian and the others a Tandoori. All the same they are both excellent and highly recommended. If you have to stay in Sharm, this place is a good bet. Staff excellent, rooms good (especially if you can get a ground floor one around the pool). On-site restaurants good, breakfast recommended. The in-house diving centre is run by helpful and professional staff. The bar on the roof seemed like the best place for a drink in Naama Bay. Personally, I didn't much like Sharm or Naama Bay as a place to stay. It's just handy for the excellent diving. If you want to dive stay at the camel. The Hotel was spotless the rooms are basic but very clean and tidy. The staff where all very friendly and the food in all the restaurants was excellent. As for the diving I went out a virgin and came back a nympho. I just gotta get back again. Although the hotel is not for designed for kids the beach is 3 minutes from the hotel and although the hotel is in the centre of the bay I heard no noise at all and felt completely safe in the streets etc. Be prepared for the heat. I stayed at the camel hotel for a week (27th April - 4th May 2006) and had the best holiday ever. I stayed with 14 friends and found the check-in process quick and efficient. I had room 101 which is on the ground floor next to the pool. It was very large with a massive bathroom. The decor is great and has everything you need.. even if you forget showergel. The room is right next to pasha nightclub but once you close the patio doors you can't hear the club. The tandori restaurant is everything and more.. Stunning food at a great... more

We stayed 3 nights at this clean effeciently run hotel. It is associated with the Camel dive School, and is very convient if you are diveing with them. The Indian restaruant on site is EXCELLENT Clean confortable rooms with a good staff and not too expensive by Sharm standards. Good location just a few minutes walk from the bay.

First time to Egypt and the diving was great. Very helpful staff and the adjoining Camel dive club staff very professional and knew their stuff. The Indian restaurant well worth a try and hard to resist with the wafting Indian spices in your room so don't go if you can't stand curry spices. The Italian restaurant worth a visit too. Breakfast basic but adequate. Rooms clean and tidy. All in all a friendly, well run place to stay.

This hotel is based at the Camel Dive centre and caters for divers. Our room was spacious, air conditioned, clean with our own patio area, we also had a mini bar. The cleaners would arrange our towels into sculptures decorated with flower petals each day, it was a bit of a surprise to find a swan on the first day! A nice touch though. This is a hotel that has been developed around a diving school, so not surprisingly it predominantly caters to people in Sharm for scuba. It is a small complex that has approx 20 rooms set around a central courtyard (with pool). The rooms are spacious and clean with own balcony. I stayed at Camel Hotel in October 2003, I had been afraid that it would be noisey being in the center of Naama Bay but I was wrong, the rooms are quiet and there is a nice small pool in a central court which all the rooms face on to. Most of the guest were divers and went on trips organized by Camel Dive Club. Good breakfast Buffet, did not eat dinner at the hotel as there are so many eating out options in Naama Bay.
