this was a great wee set of apartments two minutes from the beach where there is a range of bars and can take a leisurely 10 minute stroll to the main street area. They are situated on a quiet street but its worth them being there as you can get a good nights sleep. The... more

I just recently stayed in these apartments and found them to be very well located and clean. Room service was offered every day and the rooms were comfortable.
Most of the staff were friendly and accommodating.

Me and my mate Sam have just spent two weeks in Gumbet. The night life is brilliant, Central bar, X-bar and Mistery are the places to go! Dancing on the bar is fun and you often get a free drink. All the staff are so friendly, it does help if you're a blonde British girl... more

My girlfriend and I stayed for a week during late-June/early-July 2007. Overall, the place gets a thumbs-up but beware of some small downsides too. First, the positives. As far as 3 star accommodation goes, Ayaz Aqua cannot be beaten. The rooms, which are changed... more

This is a fab place to go if you're looking for a chill-out holiday with a bit of a night-life! Me and my mate had a brill time relaxing by the pool everyday along with the super-friendly staff (who tend to be determined to get each and everyone in the pool everyday!). The... more

We love Ayaz Aqua!
Me and my fiance went to Gumbet in September 2005 for a one week break at the Ayaz Aqua Studios. First impressions of when we arrived werent good as we had to come down a really small lane to get to studios and as it was dark when we arrived, it didnt look much from outside. However when we got inside we were impressed with how smart it looked and we were taken to our room which we thought was great. Waking up in the morning was fantastic, the balcony overlooked the pool and bar in glorious sunshine. We soon met "Ahmet and JD", the bar staff at the poolside bar. These two little fellas made our holiday what it was, they were so friendly and funny and always got involved with throwing people in the pool! We found one week was not enough so we have booked to go back for 2 weeks this year! We can't wait!!!!!
GOING AGAIN
This was one of our Best holidays. the rooms are not brilliant and you would not really want to cook in them one plug in hob is not enough really. but we ate out alll of the time it is cheap enough. i reccoment this place to any one. the bar staff are extremely friendly to everyone and its like home from home accept better. the pool is really clean everywhere is really tidy. the beach is less than 30 secs away out the front doorand the best night life is up the other way of the road about 5 min walk go to smileys bar its excellent the staff are funny its good for all the family. i loved it my partner loved it and we are going again next year for two weeks. ahmet is cool and makes everybodies holiday. m aged 20 and p aged 21
What an amazing holiday!!
Got bck from turkey 2 weeks ago , after staying in ayaz aqua , and ive got to say this was the most incredible holiday ive ever been on!!!! after being back for a week ive already booked my holiday back there for next year , staying for 3 weeks this time!! Ayaz aqua was always clean an the staff were very friendly!!! food at the hotel was lovely although we only ate there once. Outside the hotel there is a little shop were you can buy your drink an snacks from for a very reasonable price , an then 30 seconds down the road was the beach. Ayaz aqua was in the perfect location , as gumbets main shopping an resturant streets where within a five minute walk . If anyone is going out to gumbet and want a nice cheerful resturant to eat i would definately reccomend smileys , where me an my boyfriend lived for our whole two weeks . The staff there are amazingly amusing an friendly , an within 2 days of eating there you feel part of there family , if they eva saw you walking down the street while shopping , they'd all run out to you an give you a hug or shake your hand an drag u in for a free drink. The good thing about this is at about half ten at night it turns into a bar where they have u doing the macarena in the middle of the main road!!!! I would reccomend absolutely evryone to go gumbet an stay in ayaz aqua apartments and i can guarantee that once youve been there once you'll want to go time after time again !!!
Fantastic holiday ! !
My family and I have just got back from our holiday in Turkey. We stayed at the Ayaz Aqua Apartments. The appartments were basic but clean. The showers were abit hit and miss. Sometimes no hot water and sometimes no water at all. It all depended on how many people were showering at the same time to whether you got any water ! Air conditioning is a must at this time of year. The beds and towels were changed frequently. There was 7 of us, 2 grandparents, 3 children ages 7 and 10 years and myself and my husband. The pool is fantastic. It is massive and the kids really enjoyed it. It is a deep pool so best suited to children that can swim. The staff in the hotel were ok but the two guys organising entertainment were a pain. We didn't get involved in any of the organised nights and events and were snubbed for it but that suited us. They appealed more to the teenagers than the adults. There were enough sunbeds and umbrellas but they could do with replacing some as they were very old and tatty. We found that we had to put towels out in the morning which was a pain but as long as you had them down by 9:00 am you got a sunbed. There is a cafe by the pool and this was quite reasonable and the guy serving was really nice and friendly. The beach is only a couple of minutes walk from the appartments. The sunbeds and umbrellas at the beach are free but you must buy drinks and food from the bars otherwise they get upset ! We only went to the beach once as the kids preferred the swimming pool. Gumbet town is lovely and there are loads of places to eat. The best places we found for eating was Roxys , Smileys and Corner Bar. The food was really good and all the waiters were really friendly especially with the kids. They had entertainment in the evening but this didn't start till 10:00 pm and the kids were too tired by then. Getting around in Turkey is very easy. We travelled to Bodrum for the day by catching a dolmus. This cost approx 75p per person and they appear every 10 minutes. Bodrum was nice but just full of shops but great if you love walking from one shop to another for hours ! We really enjoyed our time in Gumbet. The heat was sometimes too hot but the Ayaz Aqua appartments has plenty of shade where you can hide from the sun around the pool. We throughly enjoyed our holiday and it suited us all from age 7 to pensioners !
cool place the ayaz aqua.......
spent a week at the ayaz in aug `05, 3 adults two teen girls and 2 10 yr old boys. every one of us loved it. if you wanted peace you could have it, if you wanted fun and action it was there too. Fantastic pool with all the apts having a pool view, no hassle with sunbeds and excellent staff. Rooms always cleaned and clean towels and bed linen. A real cool hol for us all, no thomson rep in situe, but didn`t need one anyway. Would deffo recommend it.
Fantastic Holiday
A group of eight of us have just spent a week at the Apartments and we had the most amazing time. Our group consisted of 4 adults and 4 children (all females except my 6 year old son) and we all came home saying it was probably our best ever holiday. The complex is small and friendly and all the staff are exceptionally helpful. As a group of females we all felt very safe and were happy to let our children wonder around the complex alone. Both the pool itself and the pool bar were great, serving good, reasonably priced food with a fun atmosphere. The turkish evening is definitely a must for all, it was a brilliant evening, definitely one to remember. We chose to have a relatively quiet holiday, however with bar street just a short distance away, there is plenty of nightlift to be had and lovely shops just a short walk away. The beautiful beach is just a couple of minutes walk away and is packed with water sports or quiet spots if preferred. Without a doubt we would all be very happy to return to the Ayaz Aqua again next year knowing that we will have a fantastic holiday.
DONT BOTHER......!!!!
We booked through Cosmos to stay at the Ayaz Aqua Apts. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised at the swimming pool area and the poolside bar, of which our room looked right out over. For the first night we thought this to be a dream as we would sit outside on the balcony and it was lovely and peaceful. Until shock, horror the two young Turkish guys running the bar decided to turn the pool bar into their very own disco, playing the music ridiculously high until 4am some mornings - both myself and my husband complained to the manager (who I might add was the most rudest man i have ever met) who told us he would sort something out - even though they were only contracted to play music until 12am!! We are both young ourselves and like to let our hair down, however, i expect that when i am on holiday if i want to go to sleep i should be able to do that at least!! I would say that this accommodation is best suited to the 18-30 holiday maker as you will not get a wink of sleep and god forbid if you do not purchase lunch, dinner or join in the 'noise' you will become an outsider and you will made to feel extremely uncomfortable about walking through the pool bar area from your room because you will not be spending your money there! We were pressured into a Turkish night we did not want to attend and when we dodged the bloke who was arranging it they used to wait until they saw us go back to our room on the night and wait for us to put the light on before they started blasting the music again until the early hours. Turkey itself is beautiful and if we go back it will be to Bitez, 10 minutes down the road from Bodrum - much better resort with a gorgeous beach and much friendly staff and very nice restaurants!! Avoid the Ayaz Aqua at all costs if you are a decent holidaymaker!!!
the best holiday of my life
i came back from ayaz aqua yesterday and i have to say i had the most amazing holiday of my life. it was so much fun and i really never wanted to leave. the rooms are really nice just practical but clean. the staff are all really friendly and the bar staff are great. especially ahmet he is really great and i got on with him so well. jd is always throwing you in the pool and they are all just great. they make loads of diferent coctails and all of the drinks at the bar are pritty cheap. its really close to bar street and all of the night life. the music at the apartments is really good aswell. theres modern chart music and music like the maccerena and greese and mad songs like that i was behind the bar dancing most nights with girls that i had met over there it was just such a laugh. i really reccomend this its great and im going back next year. youll have a great holiday. have fun!
enjoyable week
My partner and I stayed for a week in September 2004 at these apts and really enjoyed our stay.Staff were very helpful and rooms very clean. The apts are close to beach. We have been going to Turkey for the past 7 years and have been fortunate to always stay at good accommodation.Would recommend the Peking restaurant to eat. The food is delicious!.
Hated the Ayaz Aqua
I stayed at Ayaz Aqua in September 2004 with my daughter and a friend. When we arrived we were quite impressed. As the days wore on the impression we had on arrival very quickly disappeared. The one good thing about the stay was the pool, it was excellent. We found the barman quite nasty, regarding the rooms, we had to try & swat the mosquitoes before we went to bed. All in all I had 24 bites during my two week stay. We also had two days of trudging through sewage to get to the main road. I have been going to Turkey for quite a few years now and have never experienced anything like it. Needless to say I will never stay in the Ayaz Aqua ever again and will not be recommending it to any of my friends.
