One of the best hotels we have been to, food we could not fault, varied menu, greek and international dishes, , service excellent, rooms cleaned daily, staff very helpfull and friendly. Only downside was that hotel is on a busy road, some traffic noise at night, but with rooms air cond. you could shut windows. access to the beach was by an underpass under this road, took about 10 mins walk to beach. Would recomend this hotel to anyone young or old.

We had an excellent holiday at the Hotel Anastasia. The hotel is very clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food is excellent with plenty of choice for adults and there's always something for the children. This was our second visit and we will be back again and again!! The location was perfect too. The children in our group enjoyed the kids clubs and the adults enjoyed the evening entertainment.

Had great 2 weeks, hotel was lovely and all the staff were lovely too. Couldn't fault a thing, kids who are 11, 9, and 7 loved it, great swimming pools and no hassle for sun beds. Food was great too and loads of choice. Would definatly recommend to anyone who wants a relaxing, lovely holiday. Rooms were to highest standard, spacious and very clean, were also cleaned every day and bedding and towels changed regularly. Kids loved the squids club too!

Superb holiday, good food and extra friendly staff. Lovely clean rooms and great pools. Entertainment fun, Johnny looked after the little ones well in the day and the rest of us in the eve. Can't argue with Mrs M.Ross about anything (but she argued about all the quiz answers!). Location is great to have access to Stalis and further away Malia but you can avoid it all if you want. Plenty of choice or bars, tavernas and pubs around. Beaches are good for little ones and swimmers alike. What more do you want?

We choose this hotel because of other reviews and were not disappointed. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly receptionist who took us to our room. We arrived too late to eat in the restaurant but were provided with a cold buffet plate to eat once we had settled in. A nice touch.
The staff have to be the most friendly, polite and helpful we have met anywhere. You are always greeted with a smile and a friendly welcome and if you want to have a conversation they are happy to stay and discuss anything.
Food was plentiful but does not always cater for the Britsh taste. You have to be able to try different dishes but there was always a good selection of salads to fall back on if nothing took your fancy on the main courses.
The hotel grounds are tidy with a gardener to keep everything colourful and the rooms are kept spotless by a small team of maids. The maids clean the pool area early on in the morning before starting on the rooms. The pool is a good size and was never over crowded during our stay, but there is the usual rush for beds first thing in the morning (usually the Brits). A smaller pool is provided for those with younger children.
We opted for the bigger family room which had two single beds and a double. This gave us a lot more space than normal and didn't cost the earth in extras. It was worth it. The rooms are fitted with air conditioning and a fridge as standard and this was certainly a blessing during the hotter days, especially as you don't get caught out with extra charges on arrival like some other hotels.
Entertainment was basic and geared more towards the Brits. If you wanted to join in you could have a good laugh but during our two weeks most people tended to leave it alone and it seemed to fizzle out towards the end.
This is the first hotel we would go back to straight away for another holiday, we enjoyed our time there that much. This was due mainly to the friendliness of the staff and the feeling of always being made welcome.

Good clean friendly hotel, staff very helpful. Couldn't fault the place. Its location is a half hour stroll to the resort centre, well the Beachcomber anyway.
Wouldn't hesitate in going back, we’re both middle aged and we did go in September so no problem with the "younger" generation they all seemed to be in Malia.
Bar prices reasonable too, Yasou!

Just arrived back from a one week stay at the Anastasia and I would thoroughly recommend to anyone especially families.
This small hotel is spotless, probably the cleanest place we have visited. The staff are very friendly and helped make our stay a memorable one.
The food is very good, though going half board(for the first time) I did miss having the variety of restaurants to choose from.
The pool is a little overcrowded at busy times though Michael tells me they will have an extra pool available for 2008, which will then offer ample space for all the guests.
The two owners are always on hand to ensure you have a good holiday and always willing to help as are the very friendly and capable staff.
The entertainment is ok as is the kids club. It's about 20 minute walk from very nice beaches .
Overall I would definately recommend this hotel and if we ever go back to Stalis we would certainly stay at the Anastasia !

This was our 4th time at this hotel and to be perfectly honest it will be our last and so thought most of the other people who have returned again.
The hotel has got too big and there is not enough room at poolside and at dinnertime. It takes 20 minutes plus to get a drink at the bar. The hotel are starting to accommodate young groups and the family hotel label is no more. There was 2 girls staying in the hotel and the next thing there was 30 young people drinking their own drink and smoking in the pool. My son felt scared and came out the pool as they were smashing glasses etc. This carried on for the two weeks we were there even although we complained to the management.
The hotel is still growing as there is more apartments being built so unless they get another pool and stop young people we and others won't be back.

After spending 2 weeks at this hotel it is the first holiday where i felt i did not want to come home. My husband and I and our son aged 12 had a fantastic time. The management and staff really went out of their way to make sure our stay was a memorable one. The whole complex is kept spotlessly clean and the variety of food offered at breakfast and dinner time was extensively varied. You would have to be a very fussy eater not to have enjoyed meal times.
Entertainment was great and John who provided the kids club and the evening entertainment was an absolute scream. There was something for all tastes.
All the staff we met were friendly and helpful.
I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone and will definately return.
