This was booked after seeing the lovely photos on the Ifigenia Studios web site. Deposit of 180 euros was requested and paid. When we arrived, we were taken to a different building and the rooms were awful - tiny, dirty bedding, broken toilet and nothing like the rooms shown on the web site.
The staff refused to refund our deposit and we were left to find alternative accommodation at 6pm. The owner didn't even come to meet us when we were told he would the next morning. He has also not replied to an e-mail we sent on our return. Please be careful if you are looking for rooms in Chania.
This is the first time in 20 years visiting Crete that we have experienced this type of thing. Can, however, highly recommend the Lucia Hotel in the harbour. Big rooms, clean, great views and very friendly staff.
