Accomodation was basic and clean, Linen and towels changed once in the 8 days we were there. No aircon. There was never anyone on reception and no literature provided about surrounding area, buses, taxis etc. The crockery in the apartment was chipped. The utensils were rusty. The pool was murkey.View from the apartment balcony was of a factory with large chimney which belched out black smoke day and night.Fair walk to local beach which was rocky and not kept clean, sea a bit too rough for young children.Resort was dead and quality of bars and restaurants was poor. Rhodes town was lovely and beaches on east side of island very nice but would never go back to Tholos

Beach is not very nice, very pebbly and windy. But good for water sports.
Alkimini is good self catering accommodation. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Pool is large and clean.
Restaurants are cheap and the food is lovely. Only paid £300.00 for a 3 week holiday
Extremely good value for money! Didn’t think the rooms were that noisy, there were hardly any other guests there so very quiet. Nice peaceful relaxing resort. The hotel is family run and they go out of their way to ensure you have a nice holiday.

Hotel was very untidy, poor service at reception. The rooms were very thin meaning you could hear the people next door to your apartment. Pool never seemed to be cleaned over the 2 week period of which I stayed.
Rats living nearby, running around in the grass beside the pool. Poor bar service, sometimes only one person serving and cooking for up to ten people, dear prices of drinks in the fridge. Kettle was too small, and cupboard door broke off hinges.
Shower curtain was stiff to pull around, and didn't do much when in use. Earlier room leave on final day, and mardy cleaners who are very very ignorant.

This not just a basic holiday apartment block, it is just downright primitive. the electric rings are set in the metal draining board, the kettle[s] did not work, they threw in a coffee maker to help get hot water for tea and coffee. The bathroom was a delight, the floor was permanently awash, the basin was not set level and when you washed your hands the plumbing leaked and washed your feet as well, no shower curtains.
Hot water was only available for a short time during the day as one had to wait for the sun to rise and heat the water with a solar panel. The staff were good, especially the cleaning girl. The walls are paper thin and the constant transfer of guests keeps one awake most nights, coupled with the frisky antics of a couple of avid bonkers in the next apartment. It is on the main flight path out of Rhodes airport and the aircraft are climbing as they pass overhead.
Happy Holidays.

The hotel is very friendly, the family that run the hotel try to make your stay there as comfortable as they can. The rooms are clean but are very basic and no air conditioning.
The pool was quiet and very relaxing. The weekly BBQ is a must, great Greek food.

If you want peace and quiet then this is the place for you. The hotel is set on a little countryside lane mid way between a small resort and a beautiful typical Greek village Theologos.
It is very near the airport so some aircraft noise can be heard but it is not bothersome. Rhodes town, which is split between the Old and the New, is a half hour bus ride away for only 1.9 euros. (yes the buses do run when they are due)
The apartments are very basic but do have an electric kettle. It is not the place to come if you are looking for 4 star quality but if you are more used to camping than posh hotels, this will be for you. They are very spacious with balconies facing East onto fields and greenery. There are only about 20 rooms so it never feels busy. The bar in the entrance is well equipped and the staff very friendly. It is a family run business.
The tavernas in the main stretch are much the same with similar menus. Head up to the village if you want to sample some true Greek cuisine. If you can say a couple of words in Greek such as thank you, good evening etc it goes down very well.
The swimming pool is clean and of an ample size. There is a snack bar serving food such as Greek salads and also burgers.
The beach is very stony with small areas of sand scattered here and there. Not the type of resort for a beach holiday.
All in all a lovely resort with lovely apartments.

I have just stayed at theses apartments and have to comment!!
The apartments were basic but large, and immaculate! Linen and towels were changed every 2nd day!The pool was gorgeous and very clean. The family that run the apartments are wonderful and cant do enough for you. Air conditioning is available at a fee. The owner mike is very helpful and recommends areas to visit, tells you bus times etc and where to eat. The Taverna in the old village is a must!! The food is amazing and plentful and very authentic.
Holidays here are quiet but Falaraki is less than 30mins away by bus. Dont bother with transfers as its only 13 Euros by taxi and less than 10mins.
This is a low cost holiday and what you get is what you pay for........ and this was certainly great value for money.
