Panos the barman couldnt have been more helpfull, nothing was too much trouble.
Jonny our rep was fab & my 7 year old daughter is in love with him !
So many places to eat or drink within easy waling distance & beach 5 mins away.
Didnt want to come home. Definatly booking again next year & bringing my 17 year old with his girlfriend with us too as there is always something for every age group there. Fantastic, cant wait to go back !

For what we paid for this holiday it was a great place to stay. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Kitchen was basic but we were on holiday and didn't want to cook. The cleanliness of our room was superb. Close to the airport so aircraft noise experienced but found we were running out of the apartment to watch the planes. (Sad I Know)Nice Pool area.
This was our first visit to Zante and will definately return. We spent 2 weeks here and found great variety of restaurants within walking distance.
- Advice: Zante... we shall return :-)

Just arrived back for Zante Kalamaki quite for this time of year. Kalamaki is basically just a srip of restaurants and numerous tacky shops. Not that impressed with Kalamaki as a resort for children even though first cholce advertise it as a children friendly resort you have only really got mini golf. Restaurants in Kalamaki are fab lots of varieity and excellent food.
Amaryllis Aparthotel friendly staff but again not much for the children except the pool table and mini disco which isnt that great. The complex itself is lovely it is maintained very well and the room are cleaned daily at a excellent standard. The main pool was quite misty by the afternoon and my daughter got an ear infection. We had breakfast at the bar everymorning which was good value and great standard .

Very basic but clean and well-maintained apartments. The kitchen equipment is very limited - 2 hotplates and a fridge so not full self-catering and there's an additional charge of 10 Euros per day if you want the aircon switched on in the apartment. Kalimaki lies directly behind the airport so very noisy low flying planes were a bit of a nuisance at times. For the price we paid it was otherwise very good - location only 5 mins from the beach and a nice well-maintained pool/bar area, plenty of sunbeds, apartment cleaned daily and friendly staff.

A friend and I stayed here for a week. It has a lovely pool and grounds which are very well maintained and the staff were lovely especially the girl in reception and the one in the bar. They just couldn’t do enough for you and any queries were dealt with straight away.
We had a two bedroom apartment which was cleaned every day and the towels were changed once whilst we were there. The kitchen was quite small with just a table and four chairs but we did have a balcony with a table and chairs. The apartment was classed as self catering, forget that. There is a limit to what you can do with two electric rings and a kettle even by Greek standards, you couldn’t even make a slice of toast. There was a bar which served good reasonably priced food which you could take back to your apartment if you wished. We were charged €85 for the air conditioning for the week which I think was expensive even if we did have two bedrooms and depending on the temperature you didn’t always need it. We did have a lovely holiday but I think the very basic kitchen facilities and the air conditioning charges made a reasonably priced holiday expensive.

I stayed at the amaryllis last july for 2 weeks with my mum, sister & niece. My brother also come with his wife & 2 children for jst 1 week. The place is very family friendly, the staff are amazing with the kids and try to make your stay as nice as possible. We stayed in block D, the first apartment on the ground floor, the place was very tidy and was very spacous. Although, the floor was cold sometimes but it was very refershing after being out in the hot sun!
The pool area was kept well cleaned and most people kept to the same sun beds each day, which was fine. The big pool was fine but in the baby pool we kept finding lots of wasps. They also had a playground for the kids that was very decent can rather new. Although, during the day it was too hot for the kids to play on the equiptment as it was plastic, but a night when parents are in the bar its great for the kids to play on. The entertainment was rather reasonable, it had mini disco for the kids, karoke, bingo & other things. The prices of food and drink prices are also quite reasonable.
We did pay for airconditioning for the 2 weeks and dont think we could of done without it, It was 60 euros a week.
Most the restraunts and bars where within a short distance jst up the road from the amaryllis. We tried out some restruants the olive tree, yummy's & a couple of others i would recommend. Although, there was one restruant which looks really nice and very greek like with singers and dancers on some nights. But the service was very poor and the food was horrible, none of us could eat it. When walking up the road past the restruants i can tell you that someone will try and pull you in to their restruant. During the day though it is very quiet.
Also we ordered pizza from the hotel and got it delivered, you tell the bar person what you want and he calls them up for you. This was very connvenient when we didnt want to go out a couple of nights.
The beach was AMAZING! It was beautiful, the sea was clear you could see your feet through the water, also we saw little fish swimming about. The sand was quite hot but you are ok if you keep ur shoes on until you sit down. Although, you had to walk infront of the sunbeds because of the tortists. Also you had to pay for the sun beds but i dont know how much they were becuase we never got any.
Overall, my stay at the amaryllis was good and i would recommend it to people with children.

The Amaryllis aparthotel is set in very tidy well looked after gardens, the pool side bar has very friendly staff, nice simple food at a reasonable price. At night there is little or no entertainment, but still ok for a quiet drink at end of day.Never busy though, very very quiet. The appartment was clean but very basic, hardly a kitchen, two rings and a kettle. The air con is payable locally and the tv had hardly any english speaking programmes on,not even the world news! Kalamaki town is five minutes walk away, the first restaurant you come to is Paolo Pizzeria its about the best for quality service and price. Apart from that i would desscribe Kalamaki as one long road with the usual shops and bars/restaurants,bit scruffy bit Blackpoollie.Nothing special.Sorry for being so negative but we went to the beach once in our week and it was very average, not one of the best.Got to say that we have been to a lot of the Greek islands and Zante town was a big dissapointment, most was rebuilt after an earth quake in late fifties early sixties and has no oldie worldy charm.

these apartments are pleasant, about 15mins walk from the beach and about 10 mins from the main night area, the gardens are well maintained,if you visit their website don't be put off by the picture, it looks far better than this, they could do with updating it.
pool bar is open all day 8 till 6 where you can have anything from a full english breakfast to a chicken salad baguette, the prices are reasonable, the staff are friendly, the rooms are spacious, you are in the flight path but you soon get used to hearing the planes they aren't that loud, they have quiz nights, karaoke nights, mini disco and face painting for the children,
the beach is fab for kids, very warm and shallow quite far out, and you do see the turtles, there are sunbeds available but not many, and you aren't allowed at the back of the beach due to turtle nests, we had a pkeasant ,relaxing stay we were a family group which included 2 boys ages 14 and 16. a good website to see loads about this area and accomodation is, justzante.co.uk, i found this site very informative.

Yes a wondeful surprise, this was a last minute booking and we didn't know what to expect, but the Amaryllis turns out to be a beautifully clean, friendly family run Aparthotel. All the staff were so very friendly and nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them.
Hanna (First Choice Rep) was brilliant, was there everyday (except her day off) and always made a point of coming to speak to everyone, not sit at the desk waiting for guests to come to her, which I have found on previous holidays with other tour operators.
We have had one of the best holidays and will love to go back.
