Papgayo Beach is a bit of a trek thru the rocky terrain but 20-30 mins well worth the effort.

old part of Playa Blanca is still charming, plenty of bars, restaurants to watch the world go by.

any in the old town, but excellent coffee in Restaurant Playa Blanca on the front
