Very close to beach and shops and eating houses, pool cleaned every morning and tidied at night. Very strict regarding noise quiet after 12 pm.

Submitted By: Miss R HarteThe only bad point was when we arrived my friend and I who were on a tight budget had to pay out 99 euro for the use of the air conditioning and a safety deposit box, both of which were essential. However 50 euro was deposit, which was returned to us when we checked out, but I still think it was extortionate.
All in all I would return next year!

Submitted By: Miss CJ LonghurstMaids came every 2 days and generally the hotel was always very tidy. Only annoying thing was the people reserving sunbeds very early in the morning! There is a supermarket very close which sells all you can want. However, if you walk left out of the hotel and keep following the main road you reach a large supermarket, which has much more choice, and less expensive - however it is a fairly long way.
We visited Palma, marine land and aqua land, which I would highly recommend. Did not enjoy Magalluf very much. Loved Palma Nova had some great shops, pubs and restaurants and still lively but slightly less in your face! Had a great holiday, wish we were still there :(

Maid came every 2 days put clean towels and change sheets. All the staff are just lovely. The pool area was cleaned every night, it is very deep young children will need looking after. The staff were so friendly to my to children they just love it. Palma Nova is great lovely beach. We never had 1 bad meal the hole time that we were there, although the fruit sellers can get on you a bit, just do not buy from them or they will never leave you alone.

So do not let the bad reviews put you off because the Luna mar we stayed in was just fab.

It was that good. In my room, I had 2 single beds, 2 side tables, a table and 2 chairs, a big double wardrobe with 3 drawers, a cooker, a fridge and then there was a bathroom and a balcony. Downstairs, there was a bar and a games room and outside there was a big pool and lounging area.

The beach was just across the road through the back gate and there were plenty of pubs, clubs and entertainment not far away too. There was the 'Eastenders Pub' were they served lovely food and drinks. The best pub had to be the O.K pub.

The drinks were pretty cheap and great offers too. With your first drink you had a free shot and after that, every drink you bought, you had a free stamp. When you had 7 stamps, you had a free t - shirt. I got 1 and I wore it for the rest of the week. They had karaoke every night and the DJ (Eugene) was great. There were 3 bar staff (Pepe, Alex and Claire) and they all spoke good English. There were also 2 RP Staff (Chris and Jimmy) outside the bar on the pavement trying to get you in. They were the best!

This was the best holiday ever and I can't wait 2 go again in October. If you are going to go, book in this apartment but make sure you go the O.K bar for a drink. (Or 2).

The outside didn’t look as bad as it had been described to me, the reception was really nice as well, when we got into our room we were shocked to find that it was a big studio. the kitchen wasn’t bad either.

The reception staff were really friendly and were the reps in out hotel, couldn’t ask for better people in this hotel everyone was really friendly and I myself enjoyed my stay.

Although the food wasn’t nice in the hotel but the pool was a really clean area and lots of sunbeds as well, Palma Nova was about 10 mins away from all night life which was really good for me and my friend.

We enjoyed every minute of the stay and didn’t want to go home but the holiday has to end somewhere, and I'll definitely be going back to the hotel in the future.

While staying at the lunar mar the pool area was never brushed at night or the sun loungers were never put away, this put me off a bit as my young son was picking rubbish up each day at the poolside and with toilet rolls floating at the bottom of the pool it wasn’t the cleanest. The shower at the pool area did not work, therefore the pool was extremely greasy.
The food available at the bar was cheap and good enough. Although this was a quiet time of year therefore not much happened around the bar area at night.
Lunarmar are basic apartments, and really if you are looking to stay somewhere that has a bit of life to it the Lunarmar are not the place to be. However if you want a quiet relaxing holiday then Lunarmar will be quite good.
Unfortunately the pool bar was also closed at this time of year.
The apartments are basic with two single beds in each room and travel cots if they are required. The kitchen area is basic, two rings. There is no kettle in the apartments, however you can hire a toaster for 7 euro a week. I would return to Palma Nova, but I would not stay at the Lunarmar again unless it was quite cheap!

All in all though the apartments were basic but clean except for the obscure looking log-typed article floating in the pool towards the end of the holiday.

They were close to all the important shops on the island which specialise in alcoholic beverages including the appropriately named turbo-shandy available from bar OK where you will discover the legend that is Santey (approx 100m away).
I would definitely go back to Magalluf and even stay in Lunamar for a laugh.
Lovin your work Mr. block!!

Palma Nova and Magaluf are fantastic resorts with something for everyone and I hope to holiday there again but certainly not at the Lunamar!

" The Lunamar is fantastic!!!!
We have just come back from the Lunamar and it was that good we have booked to go back next year. The position of this apartment couldn’t get any better. 1 minute walk out of the back gate and there you will find the beach, shops, bars and restaurants.
The pool and pool area was very clean, cleaned every night. The staff here you just couldn’t fault at all. The bar staff were very friendly. Maid service was 4 times a week. The rooms were spacious, lovely view from the balcony.
There wasn’t much entertainment here at night but you had everything on your doorstep. Great location if you want to enjoy the amazing nightlife of magaluf, which was a 10 minute walk away........

The location itself is excellent, everything including the beach just a stones throw away. The only very minor drawback was the fact that one of our hobs in the kitchen had broken but apart from that I would recommend this hotel to friends and family alike.

Apartments could not have been better situated, 2 mins from bars & restaurants and 3 mins from the beach. Cleaning and linen change was excellent, 4 times during our week’s holiday and no sign of any creepy crawlies in sight.

Reception staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Bar service was good, pool area excellent and again very clean, but no entertainment (no drawback as everything is just a few minutes walk away).

Reps helpful and not too pushy (for a change!!). Palma Nova/Magaluf VERY clean and plenty of play areas for kids.

Could recommend and would use these apartments again without hesitation.

Submitted By: Miss K WrightThe hotel is unfriendly to british tourists and young people. The owner has a severe problem with anyone who has complaints or anyone who wishes to alter arrangements. I was evicted simply for asking if I could book my partner to stay with me, even after offering to pay extra, because we he does not want young, unmarried couples at his hotel.
I witnessed another lady my age who was evicted as she requested a change of accomodation from the rep and the owner was put out she would not be staying at his hotel.
A 60 year old couple were evicted for complaining about the cockroaches. They were told they would not be able to change rooms. He told them to go elsewhere, if they didn't like it they weren't to stay in his hotel.
He has also banned all the female airtours reps from entering his hotel at some point as he does not like them to advertise excursions in his premises. He has stated that he does not like the people staying to be attracted to go else where and drink in bars other than his own, eat in restaurants other than his own and go and see other entertainment other than that shown at his hotel. The man is absolutely CRAZY! When he lost his temper (the cheek of it as I was very polite and was only enquiring what my options were) he actually had a temper tantrum, was kicking chairs and literally SCREAMING!
The facilities (which I did not get to see properly) did appear to be good, however the hotel location is very inconvenient and the entrance requires you to walk down very dark and narrow back streets. There are lots of stairs to climb down, or a very steep and slippery slope, so it is not convenient for disabled people.

It was cleaned and the towels changed every other day, the staff were very friendly the food was good in the snack bar and my daughter spent all day in the pool. I found these apartments all in all very good and in great location for the beach, bars etc. If going I suggest going to watch the PIRATES it was excellent and the Viceroy of India Restaurant over the road was lovely. Great Holiday would definitely go back!!
