We have just come back from a week in Lanzarote park hotel, very clean, well situated, close to the beach and shops, the staff were helpful and welcoming, the only problem is if you wanted to go self-catering you would have had a bit of a problem. The cooking utensils were very limited to say the least, you would have had a job to cook a meal for a family.

Just returned from Lanzarote Park, Playa Blanca. Location of hotel is excellent, seafront, and just 5-10 minute stroll into town centre. We were however, disappointed with self catering facilities. Kitchen is located within a cupboard, and consists of a sink and 2 electric rings, not even an electric kettle,we had to hire that from the hotel. There weren't even any cooking utensils, just one small fying pan, and not enough cutlery or cups for the 3 of us who went,( myself, my husband and 19 year old daughter). We mention this because it isn't made clear that self catering facilities are basic to say the least, and if anyone is expecting to be able to prepare a meal, forget it! The hotel is really geared towards those who are on half board or all inclusive basis. Considering that Thomas Cook rate this hotel as 4 star, I would have expected better. Having said that, there are loads of restaurants and bars to choose from and we found the majority really reasonably priced. Playa Blanca is a lovely resort and we will definitely return, but maybe not to this particular hotel.

We have recently come back from a weeks stay at the Lanzarote Park, and would recommend this hotel and area to our friends and family. The hotel caters for everyone but mainly Germans. (This wasn't a problem at all)
The rooms were clean modern and welcoming and all have a pool/sea views. The beach was fantastic as it was approx 5 mins walk away. The local Irish bar was very welcoming and had entertainment on every night, the drinks were very large and the food was good also! We ate in different restaurants each night along the front and enjoyed all.
It gets a bit chilly on a night sitting in the bars but after another glass of wine who cares.
We would come back to this hotel in the future if we stopped there again.

We travelled for the first time with are nine month old son and Thomas Cook holidays who were fantastic, as a travel agent myself it is really nice to go on holiday with a package operator and all runs smooth.
Firstly when you travel with Thomas cook they give you an extra 10 kilos luggage allowance for baby stuff for free - what a life saver.
Well onto the hotel - Overall the hotel was very good clean and tidy, the maids come every day apart from there day off, the room was spotless.
The views from the hotels balconies are amazing, the balconies are very large, and it was great in the afternoon to sunbathe on while my son had a sleep.
The hotel is only a ten minutes walk to playa Blanca centre with plenty of restaurants if you are on self catering, you can also catch the ferry across to Fuerteventura.
The food at the hotel was very good (no bad tummies) even are son ate the food with no problems, the only down side was at lunchtime were the food was a little limited. The only thing I found with the food it caters a lot for the Germans and Dutch, but you will always find something to eat.
The staff on reception were excellent; in the restaurant they were more friendly towards the Germans!
The only thing missing from this hotel is air conditioning.
Overall an excellent hotel, I would probably go self catering though next time to have more selection, but would defo go with Thomas cook again, and the agency I work for is not Thomas cook!
We did not bother with the entertainment but from what I seen we didn’t miss much.

Well located. Clean and functional hotel. Some of the facilities now becoming tired in appearance and quality e.g. Squash courts needed repairing, whilst gym equipment dated back to the early 80's.
All Hotel staff professional and welcoming. Entertainment quality fair to good with a bias towards German speakers. Lion King in German was hilarious.
Food was consistently of a good and plentiful standard.
Would go again. A good 2nd holiday location.

just returned from 9 night stay at lanzarote park.Travelled with my husband we chose this hotel because of its location. The hotel is right on the seafront and is close to bars restaurants as well as playa blanca itself. We had a lovely room overlooking the sea and a perfect view of fuertoventura. The hotel itself is not one of luxury like timanfaya palace which is nearby and a 4 star ,but the staff are wonderful and cant do enough for you.We went all inclusive and the food was excellent with a great choice and would suit everyone. We would definitely recommend this hotel and playa blanca is in my opinion the best resort in lanzarote.
