Flight delays to Turkey are common, ours was 3 hrs, when we finally arrived at Dalaman Airport it was 24.00 hrs.
Our names were not on any of the arrival lists, which was very worrying, we were told to board the coach going to Fethiye and we would be sorted out at the resort.
The Hotel did not seem to be expecting us either. We were shown to a room, in the basement ,which was similar to a prison cell, it had a double bed which was pushed underneath a small window and looked out onto an empty apartment block. There was no telephone in the room and there wasn’t even enough room to walk around the bed. The wardrobe had just two hangers with very limited space. There was a lamp on the only bedside table but it didn’t work.
As it was very late we couldn’t do anything about the room. However, we complained and we were given another room, again, quite small but slightly larger than before, the lack of facilities in the room were exactly the same as before but with the addition of a sewage smell coming from the toilet. The holiday was not particularly cheap, this accommodation was depressing and horrible.
The hotel has only got half the rooms with a balcony and these are spacious and fairly well equipped. According to the other guests, who had paid considerably less than us, the rooms which face the Marina are booked, in advance, by private guests.
We would never book a holiday with JUST again. We have made a formal complaint and are awaiting their response. Internet information on the internet states that all rooms at the Yacht have a balcony, this is not true. Fethiye is very pretty and, yes, we will return but not to this hotel.
