Have just returned from 10 days at the Chich Khan. The holiday was to celebrate my 50th birthday and our daughter and son, and their partners, joined us for the last seven days. Overall the hotel was very nice. It was a little tired and in need of an update but was generally very clean and well presented. The air-conditioning was totally ineffectual. The staff were generally helpful and friendly. My birthday was not particularly acknowledged by the hotel other than by a compliments slip wishing me well from the reception staff. There was none of the 'complimentaries' as sometimes promised to mark a special occasion. There was a bottle of water in the 'mini bar' on our arrival, although our children weren't so fortunate in their rooms. The food in the main restaurant was adequate, I have experienced much wider ranges for choice, and there were a couple of times when I had difficulty in finding something to tempt me. My concerns were greater in the pool restaurant during the day. Although the food was covered in cling film, it was not always re-covered each time and was therefore smothered in flies. Small birds also had access to the pudding dishes and were seen several times tucking into pies and fruit! Barbecue food was freshly cooked and pizzas were made to order but any accompanying side dish was probably subject to the flies, which were plentiful. On my actual birthday I became unwell and the following day, travelling home became a nightmare. I have never felt so ill and on my return home visited my GP who diagnosed food poisoning. I was unable to return to work this week and have now been signed off for a further 10 days. I have contacted the tour operator to establish if other guests were also affected but have recived no response. My daughter was also very ill within 2 days of arrival but contacted the local doctor who treated her accordingly. She improved within 36 hours although she continued to receive daily injections throughout the course of our stay. If my illness had started earlier within my holiday I would have also contacted someone locally which would, hopefully, have negated the severity of my symptoms. I tried to be really careful with my choice of food but obviously this made no difference. I am concerned about the presentation of the food and, as I did not eat outside of the hotel, can only deduce that this was the cause of my illness.

My boyfriend and I have just spent a week at the chich khan and found it to be a nice quiet place to stay. It was a clean and well maintained place with friendly staff. Any problems you have are quickly and efficiently dealt with. There are many excursions to book with the rep if that is what you want to do, or you can just chill at the poolside ( which is what we did) or at the hotels private beach(a short walk from the hotel). Also, there was entertainment on most evenings, and the kids there seemed well catered for (although there was not too many children). The all inclusive food and drinks were good (this is the 4th holiday we have been on this year and the first place we have eaten quite well). Take your own towels as the beach towels there are small and scraggy. If you have a birthday or aniversary whilst you are there make sure you tell them when you book or tell your rep when you get there as they will make sure you enjoy your meal in the restaurant. We went to the mexican themed restaurant, it was a nice meal if you like hot/spicy food. This is a nice 4* hotel, with a majority of french guests, however there are enough brits there to make us feel at ease. Overall this was a lovely holiday, but I think I would have been bored if I had stopped for a fortnight, as there is not much except a medina, in the surrounding area.

Have just read comments from Mr Shepherd who visited Chich Khan with his family in August 2008. I was also there with my family and disagree with many of his comments. The hotel was excellent overall. The animation team did a very good job and my family thoroughly enjoyed the music during the day and entertainment in the evening. May I suggest you participate in the entertainment and then you might enjoy more. Yes, they did speak in French and Italian, but I only speak a little French and managed to understand then very well. Maybe, knowing that you are going to a country which speaks mainly French, you could learn the language next time.
10/10 CHICH KHAN
0/10 MR SHEPHERD FOR BEING SUCH AN OLD BORE!

Just returned from a two week holiday with my wife, son, daughter in law and two children aged 10 and 3
The hotel staff (apart from the animation team) were excellent.Restaurant and food very good with an excellent choice.
The rooms are very spacious, cleaned to an excellent standard, with good air conditioning.
The pool area is in a very poor and dirty condition with missing and cracked tiles.
If you want a sun bed take your alarm clock, we had a rota which meant one us having to get up at 6.30 am every morning! not what you want on holiday.
As for the "animation team" we found them totally useless, unless you were Italian or French.
Our two grand children were not included at all at any of the events. The one and only female member of the "team" walked around with the young children, would have been better employed as professional mourner!!!
The "background" music played during the day would have been more suitable on a 18 - 30's holiday. On one particular day I am reliably informed you would class it as "Gangster Rap" with the volume so high, I could not hear my grand son speaking to me and I had to ask for it to be switched down!
The evening entertainment was vary poor, the worst we have ever seen.
We enjoyed Tunisia, but the Chich Khan is certainly not to Iberostar standard which we have come to expect.

Myself and my Husband went to the Chich Khan hotel on 25th June 2008 for 2 weeks.
Room was very big, maids cleaned every day made the beds, made swan towels, clean towels and sheets all the time.
The pool area was good, plenty of sun beds even at 9am if you got up later, pool bed staff always got you a matress if you needed one,
Pool area a bit tired but always cleaned
Restaurant good always something different on the menu, and it was hot, and the plates were warm, waiters very good always got you a table brought you wine beer or soft drinks always topped up when empty. restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, inbetween late breakfast in bar snack bar by pool which did lunch and also pancakes etc in afternoon. bar had sandwiches in afteernoon and evening,
Bar staff wer great after we had been there a couple of days they new what we were drinking and poured our drinks as we got to bar
entertainment staff were very good, shows not the best but ammusing
bingo in about five languages is good fun
Had a very good holiday, you can hire beach/pool towels from the hotel for £4 a week which you get back at the end
Medina is ok as long as you stick to the fixed price shops
Outside the hotel you can get a "noddy" Train which costs about £2 each way to Hammamet, Saharah tour was great, very tiring 2 days on the go from about 5am
would recomend the hotel and tours,
some of the people who worked in the shops were quite rude if you did not want to buy anything in there shops

We came back from Tunisia on Monday and it was amazing, we had read the horror stories about Tunisia and the bad reports that have been put on this site about the hotel and I can truthfully say it is all rubbish. The hotel was great the staff were so friendly and could not do enough to help us and make our stay as comfortable as possible.
I have never been to a hotel as clean as this before they change your sheets and pillow cases everyday wash the floors and even changed our shower curtain mid holiday.
The rooms are a nice size and the beds are very comfy, they have air conditioning we had it on 24 hours a day (we left our curtains shut whilst we were out and the room was nice and cool when we returned) you get a bag for washing it doesn't cost much at all just a few dinar and it comes back the next day for you, so you don't need to take loads of clothes with you.
They also have two chanels on the TV's one is MBC Action which shows some UK TV programs like CSI, Alias and Law and Order. The other is MBC 2 which shows films 24/7 this is very nice if the heat gets too much in the afternoon.
The food was lovely, I thought it would be spicy but it wasn't there was alot of selection and something there for everyone, including the kids. The staff in the resturant were great they were always topping up drinks and cleaning up after you.
The bars are lovely with the friendliest staff ever I don't think we finished one drink without having another one on the table infront of us, they have some nice cocktails that are on the all inclusive menu and the ice is fine to have in your drinks!!!
The pool area gets busy but if you ask the guy who dishes out the mattresses and give him a few dinar a day he will put towels on the beds for you so you don't have to get up too early to do it yourself, and you can rent towels for the poolside at 10 dinar and change them as much as you want, at the end of the holiday you get your money back for them.
There is a Medina up the road to the right if you fancy a bit of bartering, but we did all our shopping in the fixed price shops as you walk to the medina it has everything you could want and is very good for prices, we alse bought bottles of coke and kept them in the fridge for the evenings and early mornings.
We spend 4 days doing a Scuba Diving course in North Hammamet with Odysea they were great and if you want to go for a diving course or try-dives just too see if you like it there amazing, it cost us £360.00 for both of us for our Open Water Course which is what you would pay for one in England if you were to do it. The staff are great they speak english and there are some lovely wrecks to see out in the water not too far from the Diving School, kids are welcome too. I really recomed this to anyone who has never been scuba diving before it is really worth it. There website address is info@odyseadiving.com

Me and my partner have just arrived back yesterday morning from Tunisia, staying at Chich Khan hotel and what a fantastic holiday it was, a beautiful hotel, with amazing friendly people... We could not have picked a better place.. The food was brilliant, lots of choice for fussy people like me, and non stop all day long..
The rooms were very spacious with air condition even though they say they don't have it until June but it worked!!! Rooms cleaned everyday with different things made out of the blanket by the maid, very impressive!
The staff could not do anymore for you, you wouldn't even have to leave your sun lounger to get a drink or even ask for a drink sometimes! The animation team speak 5 or more languages and are very entertaining and very friendly, always something to do during the day and evening.
The hotel is extremly clean and a very large one at that, lots of different places to sit and have a few to drink, and if you fancy it there is a little night club with is down the bottom of the hotel so you are unable to hear it anywhere in the hotel.
Not that we had kids but we did notice they have a kids club there, and it looked like they had lots of fun..
The area outside the hotel is in reach of a few shops, supermarket and even ice skating! People in before reviews have mentioned about the men being a bit forward, but they are just slightly over friendly but as soon as you say NO then they do leave you alone.. Lots of bargains but be careful they do try there best to get as much as they can out of you!
We didn't do any of the excursions as we were just having a relaxing week, but a couple we met done them all and thought they were fantastic and good value for money..
Overall a fantastic holiday, I'd recommend this to anyone, and we have to our family, and are in the process of booking for all of us for next year, children included!

Just got back from a weeks stay at the Chich Khan, Hotel was nice, food was good,Staff was excellent and so friendly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Down side the pool area is to small, you have to be up to early to get a sunbed which when your on holiday you don't want to be getting up at 6.30 to put a towel on your sunbed!, Animation team was very poor and didn't seem interested in what they were there for !Although we knew it was going to be an hr and a half from the airport it was to long after our flight, Yasmine Hamentt was lovely,
All in all it was lovely but wouldn't go back again due to how far it was from Monastair

We stayed at the Chich Khan in May 2007 for a week and were so thrilled with our holiday that we returned in February 2008 for 2 weeks.
Both times the hotel was great -- clean, with beautiful decor, and very friendly staff!
We experienced the slight discomfort mentioned by other tourists below, e.g. outdoor pool being tiled, restaurants were changed and only one bar was open. However, one thing to appreciate is there is no hotel in any resort that would give the absolute perfect conditions. As February is a low-season time, it was natural they'd have to do work on improving hotel facilities and we accepted this.
We had a few small problems with our bathroom, again this can always happen, so we didn't let it ruin our stay. The impressive thing is that the staff were amazing -- very professional and quick. They fixed the problems immediately and were very polite with us. Maids kept our room immaculate every day and put flower petals on our pillows!
We spoke to other hotel guests who had viewed several of the other hotels in the resort, including a 5-star hotel, and we all agreed that the atmosphere at the Chich Khan was special, and that probably is why it attracts people. Apart from its beautiful, authentic decor, it stands as a place that provides you with a home comfort.
Food was beautifully presented and delicious. Of course there were the odd times when we didn't like some of the dishes. It is noteworthy, however, that the head chef took special care for the guests' needs and provided us with Tunisian dates when we requested them.
We'd highly recommend the resort of Yassmine Hamamet too. As it is purpose-built and rather new, it is a lot more attractive, neat, and the market area (souq) is beautiful. Don't be put off by the pushy attitude of the salesmen -- it's a part of the culture. Say a firm 'no thank you' and walk away. There's an abundance of nice handcrafts (at any souq) and a good way to know your asking price when you bargain is to first go to a Fixed Price shop and check out the rates! This proved very useful to us.
We look forward to our next visit to Tunisia and would only stay at the Chich Khan! The best advice we can give is go with an open attitude and look for the positive signs -- you'll find them in plenty!

I'm a 16 year old student, so admittedly it's usually my job to find fault with things you do with the family. I didn't! In fact, I have to say this has been the best way to relax before GCSE exams.
When we first arrived, I was sceptical. There were alot of people and at first it looked pretty crowded. I later realised this was due to the fact evening entertainment was taking place and everyone was buzzing with excitement rather than just naturally...buzzing with no actual reason.
So, we stayed for two weeks. And in the past, after staying a matter of days I've become bored and tiresome of the place, but nope. Not this place. It was as if it had some magnetic force to it that drew me to certain things. I met a few friends out there, all nearby my age, and we made friends with a few of the younger workers. We all got to know each other, exchanged emails, it was nice to be able to have that connection with the extremely friendly people. Even now, approaching two years on I still talk to a few of the workers there.
Similarly, I've kept in touch with all the friends I'd made there.
As daunting as it was to learn that Tunisia is in fact a poor country I do in fact find it an eye opener. The people are not bitter towards the tourists, despite us experiencing things they may well never get the chance to. They were just as friendly as the many others.
So, the hotel.
Well that was pretty darn amazing I have to say. The food was exceptional. A variety, of multi-cultural foods. Good ol' chips were seen sometimes too, which was nice. The desserts with intriguing with lots of different flavours and exciting presentation for each. As for drinks, there was no english tea so I was left deciding what kind of tea takes like onions. :) But that's all part of the fun, really.
The rooms were spacious with eliquent views from the right side balconys. Our particular view looked over the pools and nearby beach which gave a very ambient atmosphere day or night. I liked the use of mini fridges in the room which, regardless to what others have said, were in fact full. Drinks and food were provided. You were also allowed to take sandwiches and what not to your room to re-stock.
The activities and excursions were brilliant. The one that stood out for me was the Camel & Horse ride. For those inexperienced, experienced or just looking for a lovely view this pretty much did it all. I'm really happy to say this holiday did alot more than what was expected of it.
As a GCSE/A-Level student I was working towards French A-Level and this, really helped. Lots of people speak English for those who aren't confident in another language but French, German, Italian and I believe I even heard one of the animation members speaking a bit of Russian were all heard.
It's a sparsely treated place.
I loved it.
And STRONGLY recommend if you want 2 weeks of being pampered, in control and complete luxury that you go.
Thanks! :)

This was our second visit to Tunisia and the first at the Chich Khan. Perhaps March is not the best time to go because not everything in the resort is open. The hotel is really lovely. The rooms are large and airy with separate bathroom and toilet. This was our first experience of all inclusive and I would definately go for that option again. Coffee and drinks whenever we wanted. I would say, however, that there seems to be one brand of spirits for all inclusive and another for those who pay! The mini-bar in the room was empty but that didn't seem to matter and was useful to stock up with bottles of water willingly given us by the bar staff. Coffee and tea making facilities in the room just doesn't seem to be an option in Tunisia.
All the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. All the public areas were clean and well cared for. The pool looked lovely - pity it was too cold for all but the most hardy of us.
Our only criticism was the meals. We found them to be very much the same. Our waiter always made sure he had a table for us which was just as well as there was a conference there for a couple of days. The restaurant staff made sure that the residents were given priority after a few complaints. Also it was a Tunisian holiday and this hotel appeared popular with the Tunisians.
Our travel rep. was very helpful and not at all pushy about selling the exursions. She also sorted out the problem of noisy children. There were also complaints about the noise from a disco in the hotel over the road but it didn't keep us awake.
All in all a good week away in very pleasant surroundings.

My boyfriend and I really fancied North Africa so we went for our first 'all inclusive' holiday ever. We've had a wonderful time despite the bad weather. It was very disappointing but there are plenty of activities and trips to do.
The hotel staff were friendly and did not peser us for tips like some people mentioned. They didn't have time to ask for a tip as they were very busy serving. The only awkward moment was when the consierge person took our bag upstairs and waited outside for a tip but we didn't have money at the time as we hadn't change our money yet.
In the reception, we were immediately given blue wris bands to show that we are 'all inclusive' and were escorted to the food hall. It was heaving with families, couples, older people and children. All sorts really. Nobody dressed up and everyone seemed to dress down there. Probably due to the general appearance of the hotel, which I'll get to in a minute. You pick your own table (some of them are balcony ones but first come first served), then a waiter approaches to ask for a drink order (free of course). We then proceeded to the food hall that looked like heaven to me as I am of arabic origin but my boyfriend is English. We both loved the food selection as we are worldwide eaters and love to experiment. There are tons of cucus, rice and pasta, different stews, meat dishes, seafood and vegie dishes. Endless amount of various salad mixtures. The cakes were kind of cheapy but I loved the exotic fruit selection and the fresh yellow dates and they even had the pomegranate pipped out in a big ball. You can have that with chocolate sauce or cream or just on its own. Ohh I almost forgot about the grill section that was on constant. The selection wasn't wide though. Just a couple of things. The queues move fast, if you're patient that is. Our drinks were topped up without us having to ask for it. Some of the food looked like it was a 'heat up' from the previous night as it looked a bit dry. But it didn't matter as there was plentty of other stuff. Kids had ice cream taps and chocolate sauce but it looked a bit messy so we didn't bother.
Our room was clean and had a street view. It was freezing cold though and we didn't have enough covers. They don't turn the heating on till December apparently as it was 'unusually cold' they said. We asked for this every night and they still didn't turn the heating on nor gave us heaters. That was the only thing that made me moan at my poor boyfriend.
The got tidied everyday and the bathroom bin bags replaced and maybe the floor wiped. They didn't change the sheets everday. I'm pretty sure they only changed it once in 10 days, if that. So wasn't too happy about that either.
But we hald plenty of other fun waiting for us outdoors. Early in the morning we queued at the Thomas Cook rep desk and asked for trips and activities as the weather got increasingly rubbish by the minute. The rep was a little late as someone had eaten too much and got taken to hospital. She was very friendly and helpful with good communication skills. There weren't trillions of things to do but they certainly had enough for me and my boyfriend. We picked 'Sahara Explorer' for our 3rd & 4th day, 'Buggy Rides' on the 5th day and 'History tour' for the 6th day. We almost cried though on the morning of the 'Sahara Explorer' as the bus had left without us. We had arranged a wake up call but the hotel didn't call us. When we complained they didn't handle it very well and they insisted that they called us. We insisted that they should send an engineer to check the phone, and guess what, the phone wasn't working! They never fixed the phone but the next time we asked for a wake up call, someone knocked on the door quickly and left instead. I must say I've never seen that done before!
So we went to the Thomas Cook rep and she gave the reception a good telling in her own way of communicating with them and she arranged for the 'buggy rides' to be brought forward for that day. So in the end we didn't waste the day and had a marveous adventure up the hills on our 'slow' buggies :) but you get to see sooo much more from up there and the lovely old arab guide gives the ladies some fresh heather from the tunisian ground. I thought he was lovely. He kept saying 'binti' to me, as in 'daughter'.
We walked around Hammamet which is very hotely touristy area, as you expect from a resort. The beach is a close walking distance from the hotel but don't expect to be able to see it from your hotel window. It's slightly out of sight, sorry.
When we ran out of money, it was quite easy to just go to the reception and change it. The female receptionist only smiled at my boyfriend thugh, not sure why not me :S once we had a good drunken chat with one of the reception guys inthe evening, as we decided to buy postcards from the shop inside the hotel and write drunk messages to our friends and family back home (oh god we wrote some horrendous stuff) and the reception guy had a right laugh at us and kept bringing us drinks as we obviously were busy composing our brilliant postcards.
We drank so much and experimented with local drinks. Not as bad as some said they are. Pretty strong date based alcohol but quite cool. Most drinks are syrupy which you get used to, but I never really had a hangover of them. Always eager to start bright and early to explore. The barmen get used to what you like and get you drinks to your table but if you order too many different things they ask you first before they get you something.
We booked a mexican and a chinese night during the evenings and they were both lovely. Or at least I think so as we were pretty tipsy and giggly most of the time and didn't care much about suff ha. It's so sweet the way the waiters dress like mexicans and chinese clothes in those restaurants. The service was great and the Tunisian lady at the chinese restaurant was very chatty and made us feel home. Also had great conversations with the guard at the gate as he was trying to teach us some Tunisian twang. That was a bit like 'Lost in Translation' ehehe we couldn't wuite understand each other as tunisian is one of the most unusual arabic accents in arabia. Very friendly guy though.
So shopping it was for one morning and the local medina is new and man made. Pushy salesmen try to sell you stuff but if you keep your eyes off of them they would leave you alone. Also don't be alarmed by the men as they are harmless and love to pay compliments to ladies, but don't encourage it -unless you want to- as they will not leave you alone. They do it with their local girls too so don't think that it's just with europians. Their girls wear cut off jeans and short skirts too you know. But Hammamet is a villiage area so you won't see much of the modern Tunisia.
The Sahara Explorer was the best thing we have ever done!! Amazing camel riding deep into the sahara and visiting bedouin people and the funny guy that talks about stuff he doesn't know much about and the way he pronounces oases was just soo funny. He was like an old fashioned school head master, but he was part of our fun. I will no spoil the surprise, but you've go to do it and find out for yourself. You'll NOT regret it and don't be afraid of the camels. They're smelly but loevly creatures really. Learnt a lot about them in that trip. AND it is SOOOOO hot in the sahara I loved it! That made our holiday or else I we would have returned home with nothing but rain in our holiday pictures.
I have to call it quits here. There is soo much to mention but just so little time. Tunisia is a wonderful place. Be sure to visit Tunis the capital. Great place and has a very very different flavour and atmosphere to Hammamet and surrounding tourist areas.
It's a modern civilised country but still believe and stick with their original culture, which is loevly and rare.
ppsssssssttt girls. The men are HOT!!
Ahh sorry I ramblled on a bit too much, but I hope someone finds this useful!
Have a good holiday!! Z & N

Just got back from spending 2 weeks at the Chich Khan Hotel. Overall the hotel was friendly, food was good with plenty of choices...wish they had some muesli though! The chef made some excellent menu's, and breakfasts were available if going on excursions early morning. The staff in the kitchen were excellent, and always cheerful. The maid service was very good..they are lovely ladies and always had a smile too. The rooms were spacious, airy..although i thought the heating was a bit too hot! Mini bar fridge was empty because we were half board, but if you wanted to put in your own water etc. it was possible to switch it on. Had they had tea/coffe making facilities in the room it would have made a big difference, personnally speaking, especially first thing in the morning! afterall we were on holiday!
The gym facilities were very poor actually. The cycling machine was broken, and the other machines weren't very good. They really need to spend some time and effort in that area...because my husband was quite looking forward to those facilities. and was a little disgruntled. Ultimately he walked miles ,with me in toe!! The heated indoor pool was ok, although, when there were a few people in it there wasn't much room for serious swimming, or for doing any exercises. The changing cubicles of which there were 2 were also of poor standard. If there had been a lot of people about it could have caused problems. Sadly this pool CLOSED AT 6PM...WHY????
The outside pool was out of action the first week, as they were replacing tiles. When it was re-filled, there were small broken tiles all around the pool area and was glad that I wasn't in charge of little children running about, because it could have been very dangerous. They really do need to get those picked up before it gets really busy. Do check before you let your kids loose! Having an empty pool meant problems for people who had booked all inclusive. The fish pond needed some T.L.C. too. The garden though, was lovely.
There was a charge for pool cues, golf putters etc. and they weren't available in the evening which seemed a bit daft, just the sort of entertainment after a day out before eating one's evening meal.
The Thomas Cooke reps. were available and helpful, especially when our "quiet"was disturbed by screaming kids at 1.30 in the morning running along the corridor! In my day children were seen and not heard, especially at that time of night...disappointing...but only the parents are responsible for that sort of behaviour! So be warned..marble floors carry sound a LOT!!
Reception staff were very helpful, considerate and agreeable. They deserve a raise in salary! as they can speak many languages and try their best to be of service. When you see how much a cup of coffee costs , their daily rate of pay is a pittance.
I was disappointed in the Sahara Explorer expedition, and will be speaking with Tunisia Travel Services about that. All I say is DO check ALL the info. before booking....because they can change anything at any time with these trips. Be aware...especially if you are disabled, elderly,or with children.
Yasmine Hammemet is completely a tourist area...beach is lovely, though there were lots of jelly fish at full moon tides. BE Careful. If you do wander along the beach past the hotels, although it's wilder it is also a rubbish tip. There are plastic bags and bottles all over the place..not just in Yasmine Hammemet..it is a serious problem, all over Tunisia.
The medina ,not far from the hotel, I found rather intimidating, the males are very much "in your face" and can be rather rude. All souvenirs available there are not exclusive!! Better deals in the fixed price shops actually.
On the whole I found the hotel clean, with a nice decor, and very reasonably priced. I would go again, but would spend more time in the desert areas.

Hotel was a joke!
1 'restaurant' and bar open only and snacks available were a cheese sandwich!
Mini bar in rooms was an empty fridge.
Meal times consisted of queuing to find a table, queuing to get food...rushing to eat so other guests could sit down....
Animation team did little, leaving kids to run round as they were so bored. We watched them one day play table tennis for an hour with eachother, successfully ignoring guests! They spend much of the rest of the time smoking and drinking coffee!
The outdoor swimming pool had building work next to it and the indoor one was so dirty we couldn't bring ourselves to go near it. Sunloungers in there had lots of mould growing on them too.
The holiday was topped off when eating our food my partner found glass in his food. The hotel staff refussed to take the food off, so we had to stand at the buffet telling customers not to take the food. Eventually the food was removed after 20 minutes, 10 of those a rep came to join us - and they even ignored her initially.
We then went to eat in another hotel which was much nicer and where the chefs actually checked the food temperature etc.
A complete waste of a week - don't go in winter - its not open and certainly not 4* - it would struggle to get a 1* rating here. Reminded me of a club 18 - 30's hotel I stayed in during my youth!
