Westin Hotel

Location excellent, right in the heart of the shopping district. Rooms exactly as advertised, spacious, clean, great bathroom and the bed is really heavenly! We stayed on an executive floor, view was superb. Service not quite perfect: room not ready at check in time (2pm), early check out (6.30am) requested but card deactivated before checkout and executive checkout not available! However, all staff friendly, polite and helpful. Would stay here again for sure.

My wife and I recently celebrated our wedding anniversary at the Westin KL and booked a suite tfor the ocassion. Although our request for a change in suites from the 17th to the 35th story was looked into, the service we received from the moment we checked in to the time we checked out can only be described as mediocre. This is a great hotel close to StarHill & Lot 10 in major KL shopping district. The hotel is excellent with its contemporary furnishings. Overall, very clean and luxurious heavenly bed.

We stayed 4 nights on our first visit to KL with our 1 year-old son on the 2nd highest level of the hotel facing the Petronas Towers with access to the Club Lounge. Excellent service from all staff and high quality fittings/beds/bedding. This is how ALL Westins should be! The check in was fantasic; I was upgraded to the Club Floor - so they swiftly took me upstairs and I was checked in my the club concierge. While he was checking me in, he suggested that I have some breakfast (I had checked in rather early). AFter my breakfast, he showed me to my room which overlooked the Petronas Towers. Stunning. The westin was overall a good hotel, I guess you would call this a standard 5 star hotel, can't think of anything that really stands out here, though a 5 star hotel is still a 5 star hotel. Checkin was prompt and everything was dealt with swiftly. The bathroom contained seperate shower and bathtub, large bathroom overall, and also had a seperate room within the bathroom for the toilet, which I thought was pretty cool. We arrived on the 23rd Dec for a 4 night stay. What can i say the Westin has one of the best locations central to everything. The rooms were spotlessly clean, the heavenly bed was truly heavenly, what a great sleep and such a variety of pillows already in the room. The bathroom was great with the rainshower very enjoyable. My fiance and I went to KL for 4 nights and we stay in Westin on Dec 23 for 2 nights and the other 2 nights at Ritz Carlton KL. We just want to try these 2 diff hotels. We loved both hotels the Westin and the Ritz. The Ritz has a bigger room & a nice big comfortable sofa (it's like a space for a living room) and free internet. We had booked Westin's New Year Eve package and had a fabulous time. 1. The deluxe room: Our room faces the twin tower. It is large, and boasts of heavenly beds (with three distinctive types of pillows - foam, feather etc and excellent bed covers). The bathroom is large and clean. Its furnishings are new and well maintained, decor - modern with nice local touches (eg black and white pictures of local scenes of Malaysia). We arrived in KL on the Friday afternoon to attend a friend's wedding on the Sunday evening, but unfortunately i had not managed to get a suit made in Langkawi the week before. Having spent 2 hours trawling through numerous shopping centres we returned to the hotel to dine in the hotel's excellent Italian Resturant and drown our sorrows with a bottle of red.
