Good location especially if you want to always shop to KLCC which is walking distance. A few restaurant within walking distance. Nothing that special about the hotel thou

We stayed at the Corus as a 2 night stopover Paris to Sydney. We arrived early in the morning at the hotel & requested interconnecting rooms as we are a family. Reception told us we could have 2 rooms nearby each other but there was no interconnecting available immediately. We said we would wait. We waited while the kids slept jetlagged on the couch for 1 1/2 hrs which we discovered was a great reward as not only did we get what we wanted but we also got rooms with big verandahs overlooking the pool & a side view of the towers !! Stayed in Corus Hotel for 4 nights . We were in a group of 11 people and had 5 separate rooms. There was a confusion when we got in the hotel, we were supposed to reach the hotel early morning but due to some flight problems, we reached there early afternoon and the reception could not find outrreservations. Only had a stopover in KL for 1 night so wanted to be near the Petronas Towers - the hotel was nearer than I expected - 2 minutes! Ok, reviews say the hotel is very 80's and I couldn't agree more - it is in need of a revamp, but its cheap and very adequate. We chose a business room for an extra £2.00 per night and was more than happy with it, not sure what the more basic rooms are like. I also asked for a view of the towers and my request was granted. The Corus is well-located. Five minutes from the Petronas Towers, the KLCC (a very upmarket shopping mall), and an inner city rail connection. It's a busy place ideal for tourists (like us) and businessmen. It's a decent, clean and pleasant place, but it does have a few shortcomings. Customer service can be erratic, and they were a bit "tight". Arrived here after spending 2 weeks in Borneo, and on arrival we were not disapponted. The hotel lobby was a lovely area, with an eating area and nice reception but......... We were told our booking had been CANCELLED!!!!!! We were on our honeymoon all paid for, our transport was there from the airport, so how was our room cancelled!! We arrived at this hotel at 8.30am after an overnight flight from London and they let us check in!!! It was a very welcome suprise. Other than that the hotel is quite average but clean and quiet and in a good location near the Petronas towers. The buffett breakfast was fine with macon rather than bacon and chicken sausages rather than pork.

Great breakfast buffet selection, nice swimming pool, cozy room, pleasant staffs. I like everything in there its just that its a bit expenssive. well maybe because its location is in the city center just few minutes walk to the petronas tower, shopping malls/shops and other tourist attractions. also if you plan to go to singapore for few days trip the jet tour bus is just right in front of the hotel like hop in, hop off to one country to another.

Checking in at the Corus Hotel in Kuala Lumpur was a relative breeze. The hotel staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the hotel ammenities and the tips and tricks of locals for the surrounding area. The room was very nice and spacious, a little bit like a rundown Shangri La. What I Liked: The security staff were friendly and helpful in giving us recommendations on how to get around KL and neighbouring places. They gave us a free upgrade to the Executive rooms without extra charges (but locked the door to the hall). The staff at the poolside were helpful and friendly.
