Just returned from 1 week holiday at this hotel & would recommend it to my friends & family. This is my 2nd trip to tunisia (last one 12 years ago, which I did not enjoy) but I am pleased I gave it another go. The people are so friendly & a small tip will go a long way. For restaurant staff we gave a larger tip at the end of the holiday rather than every day & included the waiter's helper (which was greatly appreciated by them). They make a huge effort to be welcoming & do not pester females as experienced on my last trip years ago. Spa is excellent value for money, try the turkish bath, seaweed scrub & wrap followed by a full body massage at the start of your holiday, for £35 well worth it & gets your skin ready for the sun. Gym very basic with only weight machines & 1 bike.
The food is repetitive but thats only because they have so much variety & I put a bit of everything on my plate at each meal. The little pastry cakes & omlettes make to order are fab.
I like the good mix of nationalities at this hotel (british, german, baltic, italian, french etc) and if you tip the pool guy just 1 dinar a day (50p) when paying for the sunbed mats (well worth the 2 dinar for comfort) you can guarantee your spot by the pool every day. The beach is only 1 min walk from the poolside but very busy and there is more room around both pools to spread out. Don't misplace your pool towel or you will have to pay another deposit (10 dinar). Bottled water for your room etc is free from the main bar inside. Water coolers are available by the pool, beach & restaurants to help yourself.
Only grumpy staff we found were the pool/outside waiters because we didn't tip them to start with. 1 dinar every 2nd order will do the trick & make them very attentive.
Maids are great, extra towels, bedding is not a problem.
Porters may ask you to swap their pound coins for dinar as they are unable to get them changed, 2 dinar for 1 pound.
Animation team very friendly, will make a point of chatting to you but the evening entertainment is behind the times & has a lot of audience participation. Bingo goes on forever! Aqua Aerobics fun but continues with silly games around the pool followed by the hotel dance routine!
Marina is a good 20 min walk but taxi is only 4 dinar from hotel door or 3 from the top of the road. Try the tuk tuk taxi found past the funpark & zoo for an eventful drive back - only 2 dinar each.
We are going to book to go back again next year.

My wife and I have just returned from a one week stay at this hotel. We have previously holidayed in Tunisia, normally at the Libery hotel in Skanes and for this quick break decided to try an alternative location, big mistake.
First impressions were good, attentive reception staff, baggage handlers etc. From that point onwards it became apparent that unless you were female blonde haired and German/ French/ Italian you were going to struggle with getting anything like the service you would expect from a 4* all inclusive break. The staff continually looked for "tips" no matter how little they did for you.
The hotel was clean and tidy and food always fresh however repetitive.
During our stay there was no information/ notice boards posted in English.
Would not return to this hotel as there are significantly better hotels in this location for similar money.

We just arrived back after having two great weeks. The food was very good,something for everyone, considering the various nationals to cater for. All the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help. Our only criticism would be the bar waiters were always pushing for tips. Will certainly go back again as it is wery good value for money. The animation team were the best we have seen, they work their socks off. Their shows were well polished.

I have booked with Sky High Holidays on the internet for this hotel. I have been there last week. The weather was not very good hotel is simple and nothing much to do but it was a very good cheap break for me and my girl friend. We went to sahara tour and camel ride. Flight was ok. Transfer was good with a small bus.
I will recommend only for a cheap break. They said summer is better.

Just back from our stay at 'El Mouradi Port Hotel'. When we arrived we got a bus to the hotel from the airport and when we got to the hotel we eight hours to get into our rooom. Not a very good start. When we got are room sorted we went down to the restaurant to get dinner. The food was brillant and there was somthing there for everyone. The service was excellent too. The enterainment was childish to say the least.The animation team were more interested in the young blondle tourists in the audience then their job. The spa was very dirty and the staff were unfriendly bar one female massuse, who kissed me when she was finished the massage!,(I am female) and then asked me for money on the quiet. My friend who was with me had her money stolen from her pocket and there was nothing done about it. Dont use the spa. The pool both indoor and outdoor were both very cold, and we could'nt use them. If you want a sore rear end, make sure you go on the camel ride!!This holiday was cheap and cheerful!!

I have been to this hotel quite a few times and each time it gets better and better! Theres so much to do that you will never get bored.
The food is brilliant, im quite a fussy eater but there was always something that i liked and never went hungry. For breakfast there was so much choice for everybody and everytime weve gone the choice has improved. The waiters are always very helpful and friendly and are always willing to help.
Unlike some people, we always managed to get sunbeds for 3 of us without any problems and we were putting our towels out at 8.30 at the earliest.
The animation team are absolutely brilliant and really made my holiday. They made me laugh everyday and were always happy even after working 18 hours a day. They would put on loads of activities during the day such as water polo, archery, boules etc. They would also provide entertainment in the evenings which we watched everynight as we didnt want to miss it! They are brilliant entertainers and are so good at what they do. By the end of the holiday we made really good friends with them and i can only hope that when we go back next year (i only arrived home 2 days ago but am already looking to book again for next year) that they will still be there.
The room was really spacious even with 3 people in there and due to having the air conditioning the room was always very cool.
The beach is only a 30 second walk from the pool and is a lovely place to go for lunch as there is a bar along the beach. There are many things you can do on the beach such as the banana boats and canoes etc.
Overall, this was a brilliant holiday and i didnt want to leave. I will be going back there again next year and will be advising my friends and family to go there as for me this was a perfect holiday. I would recommend this to everyone and cannot wait to go back!

this is the seconde time in this hotel for myself and my daughter, rooms are clean, food is good, entertainment good, last year was better , my daughter was seeing a tunisian who was on animation team his name is (lotfi), she has been a few times to see him, so when we went this time he had changed hotels, after we travelled to see him in mahdia, the next day we found out he was also seeing another girl, and he denied to both girls about the other, as we found him out and confronted the rest of the animation team, they make it quite obvious they intended to ruin our holiday, i just want to warn people , watch their daughters with the animation team becase they flit from girl to girl, especially blondes, i cant fault the rest of the staff they are all very polite and helpfull, but if you tip you get better service, and they expect tips for every drink they bring to your table , so go to the bar yourself, the madina, dont go alone and expect hassle, be firm and say NO you have to shout somtimes and dont pay the prices they ask for instance , i wanted a t.shirt and was asked 60 dinars, when i knew i could get for 6/8 dinars, because your british they think your rich, and dont understand the meaning of no ! the marina is quite cheap, but do shop about, theres a shop in hammam sousse called the palm centre and it is quite cheap for handbags shoes etc, dont pay the prices they are asking , because they will drop below half price, anyway great holiday but a different hotel next year and the only genuine animation guy is MOMO the others are just after a bit of fun.

Best holiday ever,
clean hotel, fantastic food , friendly staff, games if you wanted, beach 1 min walk from room .....
If you couldnt find anything to eat you have a very strange palate there is something for everyone,bear in mind its a very European holiday destination they dont do toast and cerial (its ham eggs and pain chocolate, salad,fruit battered cauliflower!!)there are only 2 hours in the day when you cant get food between 5-6 pm and 9-10pm if you arrive after midnight you have to wait till 3.3oam for breakfast not bad i think..
You do have to pay for a mat for the sun bed, so dont get one if you dont want one not many people do, if your that uncomfy buy a lilo and use that, the germans certainly do ...and yes you do have to be up early to put towels out but ask the pool attendants they will always find you a bed if you need one.
Staff are always friendly uless you dont have manners they like a please and thankyou that not too much to ask and you dont have to tip the guys who get your drinks but they will look after you if you give them a dinar (50p) on your first day
The animation team were great if you like that sort of thing if you dont, go out, or dont watch, the poor guys work 18hrs a day to keep us entertained and its a damn sight better entertainment than a lot of places ive been to, yes you have 1/2 an hour of kidies disco then they put on a show we had hunchback of notre dame , riverdance and karioke aswell as belly dancing and the bed of nails guy , not a bad night and the drinks are free
if your want a 5* luxury holiday for under £2000 your having a laugh what you pay for is what you get and its the bestvalue for money ive had for a family of 4 holiday ever
im going back next year....

Me and my daughter went to this resort and it was amazing, the food was fantastic and the entertainment on the night timee was amazing and a good laugh. we went all inclusive and you could't ask for nicer people that are in that hotel, the weather was good when we went, we went late april into may and i can't day how amazing the holiday was the week we went. i will abouslty go to that resort again.
Through the day they was alot of activities for adults as well as children,
- archery
- volleyball
- mini golf
- and much more entertainment:)

There were so many things wrong with this holiday that for the first time we felt compelled to formally complain. All we can say is that:
1 we'll never go back to this hovel
2 we'll never go back to Tunisia
3 we'll never think about all inclusive again; what a rip off!!
