Conrad Bali Resort & Spa Hotel

My wife and I stayed the Conrad for three nights as we made our way around Bali for our honeymoon. The Conrad had everything you could ask for in a tropical resort. Immaculate grounds and lagoon pools, incredibly friendly and charming staff and a very relaxing environment. Check out the lagoon suites for a terrific room which opens right up into the pool -- you can literally jump out the door into the pool. Overall, the facilities at the Conrad were top notch (gym, food, etc.). Definitely recommend the Conrad for a romantic getaway.

I just returned from a 7 night stay at the Conrad Bali. This was my first trip to Bali and I cannot say enough good things about the resort and Bali itself. The resort is beautiful and the staff is top notch- the most friendly I have encountered at a resort. All of the restaurants are very good, and SPICE is Excellent. I spent 2 days enjoying the Spa. The services were great and quite a value compared to most 5 star resorts. The occupancy rate was only 25%, so the staff outnumbered than guests. I highly recommend... more

We stayed with our toddler at the Conrad Hotel Bali for a second time in September 2005 and were very happy with our choice of hotel. We had stayed there just over one year ago but had then been disappointed. The hotel was then newly opened and clearly had to improve its customer service and in general the staff's way of handling matters. We gave it a second chance and were indeed very pleased. It saddens me as I write this, as the terrorist bombings occurred this past weekend. I was in Bali the week before and stayed at the Conrad for 3 days/2 nights. The Conrad was nothing short of stunning - I truly hope that tourists still will consider visiting Bali, particularly the Conrad hotel. The Conrad is a truly Spectacular hotel! I LOVED this place. The rooms are uber styley and large. The staff very friendly and helpful. The grounds are gorgeous. The pool and lagoon pool are huge and fabulous. (No problem getting a lounger and as many towels as I wanted! Also nice touch having complimentary cool face towels, two small bottles of water and ylang ylang spray to refresh skin and face beside loungers!) There is only one first impression! Ours was wasted. We made room reservations for three rooms half a year in advance with special requests. One week before checking in I checked the rooms and made some extra requests such like a room for a physically challenged father. And another for twin beds in a corner room. None of the requests were honoured and it took the Conrad staff more than 2 hours to give us the room keys! The Conrad is right up there with a Four Seasons Hotel. Rooms were spotless ( I am a cleanliness freak). The service was excellent...everyone was very friendly to us and our three children (ages 5,2,1). The pools were beautiful and provided hours of entertainment for our kids -- they especially loved the pools with the sand beaches. At low tide the Ocean beach was filled with all sorts of starfish, octopuses, crabs, and shells -- bring your water shoes! The food was very good -- not excellent. My wife and I stayed at the Conrad Bali from 1-10 July 2005. From the moment we arrived, we were hugely impressed with the standard of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. Everything worked and was of the highest quality, from the excellent room to the best ever pool I've seen. We just returned from our first long weekend in Bali.
