May 2012, shel and kev davies

We stayed for 1 week april 24- 3rd may.Arrived at tea time ,found the receptionist rude as he was talking on the phone and trying to check us in,although as the week went on found that all the receptionists did this.We stayed in 2 x poolside apartments which were very clean although there were signs of a previous break in on one of the patio doors.Cleaners came 5 out of 7 days and changed towels and sheets as req.Showers can be prob as boilers only hold 30 litres of hot water and takes 20 mins to heat up for the next one.You have to pay for hire of ALL electrical items.Food in buffet, serve yourself restaurant was good for us.Plenty of fresh salad, chicken and fish which is our diet back home.Nightly Entertainement starts roughly 10.30 pm but your all inclusive drinks stop the same time ??? so eiher get them in before or you pay extra.Entertainment for kids is average and hopefully gets better as season goes on.Pool is not heated (freezing and salt water)but very clean. Attitude and service of Restaurant staff are ok ,but bar and pool bar staff ARE PRETTY HORRENDOUS.I found that being direct and telling them daily , you didnt care for their attitude, was the best option prior to and whilst ordering your drinks.Elizabeth and polish Paul in particular -please take note !!Hilly Location wasnt great ,but lovely views,20 mins walk downhill to beach and its closer to adeje rather than americas. Not rec for people with mobiliy problems and if you have youn kids you need a pram.On the whole for what we paid (&1600 for 7 all inclusive) it was good.We would return but only because the kids loved it

Apr 2012, Susan Stork

Waited two days for a bath towel. S/C waited four days for a 'fork' (not funny) Mislead, not near bars and beach. Derelict hotels next door with druggies breaking into apartment every night. If wanting a toaster you had to hire one the same with an electric kettle. Many many steps.
Very very noisey at night. Only good thing was the balcony the faced the sun all day.

Feb 2012, Not Happy At All

We booked a cheap week for half term and had seen the reviews but have seen bad one's before which have been not accurate. However on this occasion they are.
Reception - The gent was about as ignorant as could be and made you feel like you where interupting him for wanting to check in, and once he found out all inclusive you are the devil in disguise.
Room - Cracked tiles on floor, doors which have been forced open with break ins, shower unclean, sockets hanging out of wall and the hot water is a joke. You have an in room electric boiler which works as and when and only warms enough water to fill a kettle so if you like a shower your in for a long night.
Food - Best described as cool not hot but enough to eat for what we paid. Again resteraunt manager hates all inclusive guest and always checks his watch to see if your early enough to eat.
Staff - Receptionist Gent, Restaraunt manager , and east european bar staff are as ignorant as you will get. This is a shame as the rest of the teams are really nice people and a new entertainment team had just arrived who we know from a previous hotel and will work hard to make it great for kids etc.
Pool - Very big but not heated and shaded so usually minus degrees so no one could get in it with screaming and leaping back out which became the days fun with new arrivals not knowing why it was no one was in the pool.
All inclusive - Bar at the pool no problems nice team, Restaraunt manager as described rest good team, Main bar then the fun begins eastern european bar staff who will only give you one drink at a time and you have to take glasses back to get another drink one at a time of course. All inclusive ends at 10:30pm and entertainment starts at 10 and goes on until 12 so guess what you have to pay full price or sit with an empty glass.
Location - set in the side of a cliff and if you dont like walking up steep slopes or loads of steps then dont go and this is not just the hotel but also from your pool to your room calf muscles like an athlete now.
It is the first time totally agreed with people having a real rant about a hotel and also thought been ripped off even on a cheap bargain deal
Advice if you have booked risk a couple of extra pounds and see if you can change your hotel it will be worth the money

false advertising

Feb 2012, nick

The hotel advertises that it has a heated pool. not true the pool was freezing cold. they also fail to mention there are on top of a very big hill or 3. so if you are walking back from a night out, up it, expect your calf muscles to be pulverised in the morning
they also say they have a courtesy bus to playa de las americas. not true. the bus only goes to the local vacinity not into the heart of playa de las americas. it does not run at night, and rarely at the weeend. which considering the hotel sits a top a very large hill is highly inconvenient

me and my husband stayed at luguna park 2 from 14th jan till 29th jan,
room was very nice and clean spaceous, how ever the staff were not friendly, also requested bread knife and spatular didnt get them, was in appartment b 11 at top of complex pool and dinning area was way down the bottom 15 minute walk back from pool up steep hill 5 lots of steps to get to pool, entertainment didnt start till 11pm when and if they actually turned up. short cut to main center was via a gate that cut out the 2 big steep hills u had to go down then of course the gate shut at 5pm doesnt open daily so u have the 2 steep hills to climb back up again. if your thinking of stayin here hope that u are young athletic and fit over 20s need not apply. my overall hoilday was still enjoyable as we stayed most of the time in the las dalias if youve tryed the rest then have the best and stay at the las dalias

On arrival at reception was greeted with a friendly smile altho on registering, was told number of apartment but was left to find it & twenty mins later, found it!!! When we entered H11 the heat & mould smell of the room was terrible as,on inspection, there was NO windows in the apartment except for the main front patio doors, so there was no 'breeze'/air being able to circulate the room! The fan in the bathroom did not work & therefore was like a 'sauna room' - the sink was hanging from the wall - due to the heat, we had no option but to HIRE a fan to keep the room cool overnight, as with reports of 'break-ins' didnt want to sleep with the doors open. This is awful, as if there was a fire at the patio doors, anyone would be 'trapped' in the apartment. as NO windows - SCARY THOUGHT!! The apartment was for two people & for the whole of our 7 day stay had to 'share' one bath towel & 1 hand towel (so take your own!). We mentioned to reception every day regarding the towel situation & it remained the same for the whole duration.
The pool area was big but we NEVER were able to get a sunbed, as there is not enough sunbeds for the amount of apartments but enough space to have more around the pool. The supermarket was convenient & well stocked but staff there could've been more 'friendly' as a smile wouldnt go amiss! Plenty of entertainment for children in the evening, same thing every night, karaoke, for the adults!! We asked reception where we could go via taxi to get eats & drinks (as we were self catering), we were told to get taxi to 'veronica's in Playa de las Americas, which cost us 14euro to get there & 15euro to return - so nearly 30euros in taxis, BUT reception could've told us to walk down 'cardiac hill', across the bridge & we would be in 'Puerto Colon' - where they have a BEACH, RESTAURANTS & BARS which caters for all, young & old - PUERTO COLON IS A 'MUST SEE', & pay a visit to Jon Diamonds pub on 1st floor HOP & GRAPES, very friendly newcastle guy! To end, when booked, were advised that Laguna Park 2 was IN Playa De Las Americas,BE ADVISED, IT IS NOT - Its located in Costa Adeje, which is approximately, ten/fifteen minutes drive to P.D.Americas!!! On a happy note, maids, staff & our spanish neighbours were all very friendly. Laguna Park 2 is a lovely place but does need some attention.

There wasnt a room for us when we got there and had to wait for them to find us one.As i had heard about break ins we checked all doors and windows, the patio door is able to open from the outside on most of them judging by reviews i have read,we called out the handyman to repair it so its best to check it when you first arrive.the pool was great, although it was mostly spanish guests who reserve all the sunbeds it seemed.the hill was fine we walked down it and got taxis back up they,re only 3 euros and pass by regularly. Harleys ,Gordon Ramseys were great places to eat as we were self catering and the bars and restaurants on Bahia beach were great night entertainment(check out the Blues Brothers act in the Dubai cafe)the walk into los christianos is a must and get a fish pedi for your walk back.overall, the room was too hot without air conditioning or fans and once the door was fixed we still had a great holiday.

I have just returned from tenerife and stayed at laguna park 2. im 17 and went with two of my friends who were 18-we had read bad reviews and so were really worried.
However, we were pleasently suprised when we arrived. Our apartment was A26 and so right above the reception-it was clean and we saw no bugs in it the whole 2 weeks we were there, it was regularly cleaned by the maids and were were not broken into.we were half board and although the food wasnt great it was fine and was what we had paid for. the food was buffet style and so you could just help youself-i just avoided anything that i didnt know as it wasnt labelled. Our room was above the disco room and so we often heard music late at night but that didnt bother us as we were either out most nights or chilling in the apartment. The pool was good and nice and refreshing as the weather was so hot.The apartments are on quite a big hill but it was manageable and fine after a couple of drinks! There is a free bus to one of the beaches and is also about a 30 min walk to the night clubs and another beach as well as the shops. There is a supermarket on site which was reasonably priced and well stocked. we found all of the staff freindly although the man at reception could have been a bit more cheery. we would all reccomend it to our friends as we had a good time and we would also go back. Its cheap and we got our moneys worth. Most people that we saw there seemed like they were having a good time. I would also reccomend that you go to Loro Parque-a zoo(an hour and a half bus jorney ish) and siam park-a water park(free bus and close by) you can get a twin ticket from reception for these

Arrived At Laguna II On May the 17th Of May(Evening Time)
We got booked in and where given the cards for the room, (we where j 01 right at the pool)
We got to the apartment, got ready and headed out that night, we got back to the apartment and where wrecked so we where for bed straight away, until i seen these black bugs crawling round the floor!!
They freaked me out and am easily scared, so i complained and made a big fuss(i over-reacted!)i stayed up all night and was actually going to try and move hotel but the girl who deals with that sort of thing (was useless)
So we finally went back to the apartment, fell asleep and decided we would forget about the cochroaches and enjoy are hoilday.
Cochroaches-
i didnt realise Tenerife is known for cochroaches and because were on a hill it attracts them even more, but supposably this hotel is alot better than it was for cochroaches.
Room furniture- is abit dated though what to do you expect for a cheap hotel like Laguna 2.
Food-Well we tryed the food at the pool, pizza was really nice and chips where good too. Me and my bf didnt come all-inclusive to know what the food is like upstairs.
Enertainment-We had to stick at the hotel for entertainment as there was any at any of the bars :( Was very good though! Tenerife has changed alot in 2 years, dont think il be back.
Drinks At the bar-Where very cheap!-compared to Benidorm where we normally go on hoilday too.
All-inclusive- Well we got served quicker than most all-inclusive people, we had money, so they where looking tips, some people maybe only got three drinks at night-time.
Pool- really big which surprised me!
Break-ins- There was 6 whilst i stayed here, most people where sleeping when they got robbed, they had there balcony doors open, the break-ins only happened to the higher up apartments and the ones really close to reception, this hotel is well known for the break-ins.
Hill & steps- annoying but good exercise.
Could say alot more(didnt know what was worse the people who where staying at the same time as us or the hotel)
if you want more info add me (jade98@hotmail.co.uk)

after reading reviews on here i was a bit worried. it is in an ok location, near great places to eat and drink. and also 5 minutes away from Siam Park which is the best waterpark i have ever been to it was amazing! you get a free bus there across the road from the hotel. we were all inclusive the food was basic. soups, chips, chicken, salad every night but we ate it as it was ok! the pool is well looked after and clean, the bar is nice and at lunch if your all inclusive ( as there isnt many) you get to choose any meal u want form the menu (spag bol, chicken and chips, roast dinner, salad baguette) which was very nice and quickly cooked and you could eat on the poolside! Our room was really nice and clean. bathroom was spotless, a few cockroaches but what do you expect in a hot country! the only thing i would say is its not foor young kids. we are a couple of 18 + 19. some nights we wanted an early night and we were woken up serveral times by LOUD drunken people. the walls are as thin as paper and we could hear the people next to us's arguments which wasnt very nice as we were trying to sleep! all in all a pleasant place.

where do i even start?? 9 of us on an so called "all-inclusive" holiday from 17/05/2011 to 24/05/2011
Reception at top of massive hill (cardiac hill), restaurant and pool at bottom
4 euro to use any facility like tennis or football which should be included in all inclusive
Snacks for all inclusive were ONLY dry ham and cheese sandwiches
Wait at bar for people paying for a drink to get served and made to feel like a begger
Bar stopped serving all inclusive drinks at 10:30 so you get about 3 drinks a day if your lucky
Staff were very ignorant and treated all inclusive customers like second class citizens
Woke up to find 2 locals in my apartment robbing me!!
Stole a number of items and the last of our money!! chased them and told reception, who just said there is nothing we can do and basically said go to bed
Asked them to call police and after 15 minutes of arguing they gave me a number to call them myself on a payphone
Police never came to investigate, they told us to call to police station and we had a flight to catch the next day (Far cry from csi)
Have to pay 20 euro for 1 week of t.v
Have to pay for mattresses, kettles, irons and anything else you would expect to be provided for all inclusive
Food was a joke, dry pasta, dry rice, frozen chips, under cooked potatoes
Wouldn't have been so bad if the staff were friendly but they are the most ignorant disrespectful people i have come across
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, I WOULD RATHER HAVE STAYED IN DOWNTOWN BAGHDAD

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times, year after year,
and never once have i been affected by any of the issue's others raised.
The rooms are very spacious the bathrooms are much larger than most hotel/appartments.
The facilities in the room were suitable for our half board basis.
The food was sufficient, not the highest of standard but you cant have everything.
The views and pool area beautiful, and whenever we requuired help, the staff were always more than happy to assist.
I returned 3 years in a row i loved these apartments so much, and would definatly go again.
