Bali Rani Hotel

Location: Good if you do not require beach-front. Mid-way between Kuta Beach/downtown Kuta and Tuban Beach. Walking distance to downtown Kuta and Kuta Beach (to view surfers and sunset!). Plenty of restaurants/cafes/bars nearby and shopping mall is opposite. The Waterbom water theme park is next to it too. Traffic along the road where hotel is located can be very bad at night as road is narrow and there are way too many cars/taxis plying the road. We moved to Bali Rani from Barong, and it was a good decision. ConvenientLy Located in near shops and restaurants, it's not as noisy as Barong area at night. We booked a triple room, it was still pretty spacious even with shopping bags scattered everywhere. The beds and pillows were comfortable. We didn't use the pool because we were out all day. The staff were friendly and nice. Breakfast was nice, but after 4 days in a row I got bored of it.

Bali Rani hotel is a great hotel in Bali, very clean, staff are lovely and it is located across the road to the discovery shopping centre and the beach. This hotel is located in Tuban and it is 5 min walk to Kuta (main shopping area), we were told by our travel agent not to stay in the heart of Kuta as at night the streets can be very noisy, and yes the streets, nightclubs, restaurants are very noisy all hours of the night, so we were happy to walk to kuta and go back to our nice quiet hotel! the breakfast buffet is very nice, lovely... more

Very dissapointed. went to relax with a friend for her birthday and could not get a chair to sit on by the pool. Pool man obviously wanted to be paid to reserve a chair for you. Had to go up to bar to order any food as the pool staff were so slack . Staff were sleezy and made me uncomfortable. Trust me , they were not being the lovely bali friendly type of people. This is my 10 th time in Bali and I would only recommend this hotel to older travellers. On the plus side , it is close to shopping and resturants so there is not too much walking... more

Stayed 2 weeks at the Bali Rani 8th Sept - 22nd Sept. We choose this hotel because we stayed there in november 2005. We requested ground floor rooms overlooking the pool, we got them. The room was clean and a good size for the 3 of us (2 adults & 1 10yr boy). The hotel grounds are keep very clean & tidy - no fault there. Great hotel not expensive and very nice, i talked to others staying here and all said it was one of the better hotels in kuta. Great staff, nice pool and bar, breakfast ok not enough indonesian food. Great location 2mins walk to kuta square,waterbom,mall,beach

I’ve recently (September) spent two weeks in this hotel. Location: The Bali Rani is well in Tuban (South Kuta) and the large Discovery shopping mall is basically just on the other side of a very very busy Kartika Plaza road. Is a bit of a walk to the beach (that is if you do not get skittled crossing the road!!) Rooms: The room was very clean and the ground level poolside rooms are a must!! I had no issues with the room. I’ve recently (August / September) spent two mostly great weeks in this nice tourist hotel. Location: The Bali Rani is well located in Tuban, a mere 10 minute walk from the busy tourist center of Kuta with many bars, restaurants and so on. This was my first solo trip to Bali and I couldn't have been better placed at the Bali Rani. From the second I arrived I was greeted and treated like a member of royalty. The staff are lovely, nothing is too much of a bother and the hotel is gorgeous. The rooms are quite simple but clean and sufficient. The hotel lobby is gorgeous as is the pool and bar area. I have just arrived home after my 12th trip to bali.I stayed at the kuta paradiso this time feb 06. I wished i had stayed at the bali rani.I have stayed here 5 times the last being nov 04. I like this hotel for its lovley staff and great value for money . Staying in another hotel has made me appreciate this one more.
