Kuta Paradiso Hotel

This is definitely NOT a five-star hotel as mentioned in all their advertising. This is a 3 star at the most - charging 5 star prices. We booked a suite as the pictures on their website and many others of a suite at this hotel has an ocean view and looks fantastic. This was so NOT the case - we arrived really late at night and were led to a dingy room at the side of the hotel overlooking an adjacent bar. Left to Bali (denpasar) on 21/10/2006 from Jakarta. Upon arrival at the airport waited for an hour to pick me and my wife to the hotel ( Kuta Paradiso). Checked in to the room # 254 , the toilet was run down and the bathroom darinage was blocked. After complaning, the duty manager changed the room to # 348. After an hour, I saw a cockroach (about 2 inch in size) crawling from the air condition duct. I complained again. They appolzise in writting. Even the bed and the wall were not impressive. My friends and I got 2 rooms and stayed for 1 night. The good : Inexpensive, good location, good breakfast. The bad : The toilets in both of the rooms smelled and looked dirty, the pool is small, rooms were dark and old, worn out beds, noisy at night. Stay here if you don't care much about your room. Don't pay anymore than what you believe a mediocre 3 stars hotel is worth.

I have just returned from my 12th trip to bali,and stayed at the kuta paradiso, I had read the comments on this site before i went.If you decide to stay here never expect a hot shower (forget the bath) We had 2 days with slightly warm water the water pressure went from decent to drizzle and most of the time it was cold. The hotel was reasonably ok. Our room was a bit on the small side. The view from our balcony was not the greatest (looked over some old building and the main street). At night, you can hear the music from the clubs along the street. Not great if you are light sleeper. The pool was good. My kids enjoyed it tremendously. This hotel is lovely. We had a beautiful superior room over looking the pool which I would recommend as the standard rooms can be a bit on the small side. The pool was great and the breakfast was fabulous. Great location, near the beach and the centre. Really clean hotel and the staff were super nice. Highly recommended.

I went with my husband in June for our honeymoon. It's a lovely hotel'very good location,very clean,the stuff are so friendly and the food is very good. I do realy recomand it.We did spend a lovely time there.

What a hotel. Always perfectly clean, food and drink at a very resonible price for a 5 star hotel alot cheaper than any other 5 star in bali. If you want to go out at night or shopping during the day the location could not possibly be any better close to absoloutly everything. Big pool with a basketball ring to have a bit of fun and a swim up bar. Another major bonus i found was all staff including the cleaners all spoke english realy well. I recently returned from my Bali vacation where I stayed in the Kuta Paradiso. I have to say that I wasn't impressed. Our room was generally shabby with a view looking into dilapidated housing about 5 meters away. The shower and bath were ok, though water temperature was erratic (eg hot water when only the cold faucet was turned on.) The gym is an extra fee, contains limited equipment and limited airconditioning. The pool area was fine, but not nearly as nice as the photos. I went to Bali for my first time last year with my boyfriend. I didn't really know what to expect when I first arrived but am now totally in love with the place!!! Our stay at Kuta Paradiso was one I will never forget! The staff were very friendly and genuinely happy to be there which really showed. The hotel itself was beautifully maintained and rooms were very comfortable. It is a credit to the groundsmen who keep the gardens so well kept aswell. At night thought it is when the place really comes alive with the beautiful lighting around... more
