Club InterContinental Hotel

We stayed in the most recently renovated Club Section of the Intercontinental (right near the site where the Oct 2006 suicide bombers blew up). The rooms in the 6000 section are great with marble baths, butler service, plasma TVs. HighSpeed internet was free in the Club Lounge and available at various resonable rates for in-room ethernet hookup. The location is on a bay that is free from Jetskis and other motorized beach activities, so teenagers and thrill-seekers should stay elsewhere. stayed in a few places in Bali this was the best by far! Make sure you have the fillet steak in the Italian restaurant.Visit other restaurants like kudate and the living room they are great!

Stayed for three nights in late January. The hotel – and in fact all of Bali that I saw – was very quiet, partly because it’s low season now, but mainly because the tourists are still staying away after the bombings. The hotel, which has around 450 rooms and, apparently, 750 staff, seemed to have very few guests and was clearly over-staffed, for better or worse.
