Good quality 4* beach front hotel in spacious grounds. The hotel boasts four good restaurants, Italian (fine dining) Asian, European plus the dreaded Buffet restaurant on the beach (although the food choice was very good).
There is a large free form swimming pool with plenty of sun loungers around, and a very good programme of events throughout the day, where you can participate or just lounge around. The grounds are kept pristine, with two large lakes commanding the landscape.
Water features very highly in Bali, and has a big influence throughout the hotel complex. The evening entertainment comes from cultural entertainment, cabaret theatre, night club with live bands or the piano bar. If all this is not enough then just a ten minute walk outside the hotel takes you to a newly built, designer collection shopping village, with about 15 good restaurants, some with entertainment, here it will cost you about a third less than in the hotels.
There is also a free shuttle bus service to this area which operates from, 10am to 10pm, after which the restaurants will supply a free taxi service back to your hotel. Lastly Bali needs more tourists, it has taken a big knock in the last few years with the bombs in Kuta, but they now have very high levels of security throughout Bali which is second to none.

Out of this world!
We stayed in the luxury villas for our honeymoon, and it was perfect.
The resort is beautiful and kept clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and there were a wide range of restaurants within the hotel to cater for most needs.
The villas were just divine, our own little hideaway in paradise and the highwalled gardens meant there were no prying eyes, and the plunge pool was lovely to cool down in on those hot sunny days.
I would definitely do it all over again.

The Melia Bali Villas and Spa Resort Hotel lives up to very high expectations. The resort is a little piece of paradise which is yours for the duration of your holiday.
The hotel including basic rooms are of a very high standard and the duplex and villas are luxurious.
The many restaurants give you a marvelous choice and are of a very high quality.
I cannot praise the hotel enough for its excellent staff, facilities and location.
5 star holiday.
