Griya Santrian Hotel

On arrival at the hotel we were initially checked into the wrong room. As it was late, we had to stay in this room until next day, but then the problem was sorted and we were given the correct room. We paid a bit extra and had a deluxe room - it's well worth it. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean and the location was perfect. The daybed on the terrace was very comfortable! Stayed at the Griya Santrian for 4 nights in August. After reading mixed reviews beforehand tried to upgrade from a standard garden room but to no avail. Emailed Griya, was informed that some of the garden rooms would have been upgraded by the time I arrived but could not guarantee me one of these. Griya Santrian a beautiful resort with a very well kept garden and a lot of old statues in the garden. Also very nice to see at night with all the lights. Breakfast was OK. We ate once in the restaurant which was OK as well. We also joined the BBQ on the beach. Special location and good food (Lobster, King Prawns (you pay for the weight), Chicken Kebab IDR 45.500, Sirloin Steak IDR 59.500). We stayed from 6th June till 16th June. Wonderful Island, Friendly people, sea like bath water, lots of underwater fish to see when you snorkal. Fantastic food. This hotel is excellent, we have travelled all over the world and this is one of the best, cannot fault it. Rooms and pools lovely. Clean, helpful staff, nothing is too much trouble. Good selection at breakfast. Wonderful massages, pretty flowers, water features everywhere, inscence make for a wonderful atmosphere, I have no trouble in recommending this island or hotel.

We had originaly booked the puri santrian but on arrival we were told that it was full and we were to be moved to their sister hotel the Griya. on arrival at the griya we were given an up grade to a delux beach room. this turned out to be a refurbished room in the beach side part of the hotel. the room was boutique in style with a king sized bed, AC satellite TV, minibar, and wet room/ bath room. the wet room was separated from the bedroom by a frosted glass wall. outside we had a patio area with table and chairs and a built in... more

Every one you meet at the hotel are long time lovers of the Griya Santrian,if if its there first visit,they all want to return.love everything on offer,nothing to much trouble,and THE FRONT MANAGER ,VERY GOOD,nothing is to much trouble.A real gem.

Pools excellent, standard room very dated but currently undergoing a refurbishment, swim up bar and staff excellent, beach very good, but my only complaint was the management not investigating my issue with client in room 145. We arrived and on the first night could hear noise thought it was a local bar, then we realised it was the Guest in room 145 (european) playing loud house music until 04:00 hrs every morning i have a 9 yr old daughter who was woken every night by music and singing. Myself and my wife have just returned home from an eleven night stay at the Griya Santrian. It was the second part of our honeymoon after staying in fantastic Singapore for the first three nights. We arrived at the hotel in the evening, and were welcomed by the sound of Balinese music playing faintly in the background, which sounds as if it is being played in the beautiful gardens that surround it. My wife and I have been returning to the same hotel now for at least the past 6 years. We return for the same reasons, year after year.1. The Staff are continually trying to make your stay one that you will always remember.Bar staff excellent, wait staff excellent, house staff look after you like a king,excellent, front office staff always a smile and will do anything for you excellent. Lovely hotel right on the beach. Nice bedrooms and great breakfasts. The staff were very friendly and the beach was mostly deserted. Recommended
