Bali Hyatt Hotel

my wife and i have just returned from an eight night stay at the bali hyatt .The trip was to celebrate our twentieth wedding annivrsary and it was absolutely fantastic. We stayed in a Regency club room which entitles you to continental breakfast in the club lounge and complimentary drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic cocktails) between 5pm and 7pm, tea and coffee is available free all day. My wife and I went on our honeymoon to Bali and stayed both at the Bali Hyatt and the Bali Ritz-Carlton. The Hyatt was fantastic, the Ritz-Carlton terrible. Upon arrival at the Bali Hyatt you are greeted by genuinely friendly staff. We came here for our honeymoon. Unfortunately our trip was just after the Oct 2005 bombs, so the atmosphere on the island wasn't great. As a result we cut our trip short to spend more time in Singapore (which we loved!). I wouldn't recommend Sanur as a resort for young people - there really wasn't much to do at all. We arrived at the Hyatt after a total journey of approx 24 hours to be met with smiles, flower garlands, a refreshing cool drink and cool towels. They also took our photo (after that long a journey what did we look like!!!). Our ocean view Regency Club room was not quite ready so they gave us a temporary room for a couple of hours. Spent 5 wonderful days in July at the Bali Hyatt and cannot fault anything. On our arrival we were met with iced fruit cocktails and flower garlands, with traditional music being played live in the background. The staff are all very pleasant, always ready with a smile and a greeting of Good Morning etc. The food was very good with several restaurants to choose from especially the Chinese restaurant which belongs to the hotel but is located across the road - excellent food, service and value for money. The Bali Hyatt in Sanur is a beautiful hotel at a great price. From the time of arrival the service was exceptional. We were greeted with flower leis and given iced fruit punch while we were checked in, not at the front desk, but on the sofa in the lobby. The resort is very tranquil with lush greenery everywhere. It was built on a former coconut plantation and still retains that tropical feel. Both me and my girlfriend were slightly worried about this hotel after hearing one or two bad comments just before we came out to Bali. But on arrival we were greeted by lovely friendly people, drinks, flowers and the sounds of authentic bali being played in the background. This set the scene for a perfect base to go out and explore Bali, but having the pleasure of a hotel with its beautiful and peaceful surroundings as your retreat. We stayed at Hyatt Sanur and they have a beautiful garden. The service is good, but rooms are not really state of the art. The restaurants are reasonably priced and the food is very good. If you do not expect a great room, you should definitely stay there.

I took my parents to a 4D 3N vacation in Bali in May 2006 and we stayed in Bali Hyatt. I totally regret having chosen Bali Hyatt as our hotel for the trip. We paid exhorbitant price to stay here, only to find that nothing except the gardens was worth it. Our stay May 15 to 20 was great, The staff was so friendly and most of them even spoke English! The breakfast buffet was one of the best and the open air breakfast room over looking more gardens, splashing fountains and the huge swimming pool area was beautiful. The extensive lush tropical grounds were a joy to walk through. Our room was located in the Hibiscus Court and overlooked more of the garden areas.
