Loved It. Quite a basic hotel but very clean. Lots of eating areas around the pool which was lovely in the evenings. Situated about a 5 minute walk from the front of sunny beach. Would definately go again

" Stayed at Sever/Yug for 7 nights B&B.... "
Submitted By: Mr S Southwark
Stayed at Sever/Yug for 7 nights B&B. Rooms were basic to say the least, in particular the bathroom. Breakfast consisted of either boiled egg (which anyone can cook), scrambled egg which was best eaten with a straw as it was not properly cooked. There were also various cheeses, cold meats and fruit, none of which were very inviting. The cutlery and crockery was a mishmash of odds and ends. The rest of the hotel was quite good with a 24 hour Lobby Bar, Poolside Bar, Indian and Chinese Restaurants. Entertainment consisted of a vocalist who was tone deaf, playing a keyboard and attempting to sing which kept even the deepest sleeper awake until midnight. The staff were very hard working, doing their best with what little they had to use. Certainly would not recommend to anyone.

" The hotel Sever/ Yug was lovely... "

The hotel Sever/ Yug was lovely atmosphere and only a 5 minute walk from city centre and beach. The pool was clean and hygienic as the pool staff never stopped cleaning it. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I didn’t agree with the shop prices as if u travelled outside to the side of the hotel the shop was cheaper. Other wise the hotel was great.
My children enjoyed the pool as they could swim freely as it was deep so had no small children messing, all pools should be like the Sever/ Yug pool. Paying for the sunbeds everyday was dear but the staff was very pleasant so we didn’t mind that much. I agreed with the pools policy on the life guard as the young life guard was always their and checking.
Thank you for making me and my families holiday great see you next year.
" The hotel on a whole was clean but... "
Submitted By: Mr K Blair
The hotel on a whole was clean but dated in appearance. The food was repetitive with a poor menu. Unfortunately we were half board so ate there twice daily.

The pool was too deep in the shallow end for non-swimmers as it was 4foot in depth, but there was a shallow splash pool for the infants. Extra food was available round the pool area and a small shop that sold ice-creams and crisps etc. The rooms were very basic and unfortunately there was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom. Fridges were available at an extra cost as were safety deposit boxes. The hotel staff in general were helpful and pleasant.

The entertainment was enjoyable if you’ve had a drink. The location of the hotel was a 5 min walk from the beach and other attractions. Overall the hotel was very noisy as our room was overlooking the pool area and we were disappointed with the hotel overall and would not recommend it to anyone else. My children renamed it the Sever-YUK!!!
" This hotel is good for families with... "

This hotel is good for families with children. It consists of two blocks, the Sever and the Yug.

The family rooms are large and basic but clean. There are no TVs or TV or air conditioning in the rooms. Fridges can be hired from reception. You can change money or hire safety deposit boxes at reception too.

We were half board and the evening meals in the restaurant were nothing to write home about. If you are not half board you are given a different menu, which is very extensive with both European and Chinese dishes. There is a small Indian restaurant by the side of the pool. We went to breakfast twice and were not impressed. It was the usual continental style but the milk and butter tasted sour. You can buy a decent cooked breakfast from the bar in the Sever.

There are two bars in the hotel, one of which is open till 3am and the other 24hours. (the 24 hour one does attract some seedy characters around 4am!) There were happy hours at 7.30pm - 8pm for beer and spirits and 11.30pm -12.30am for the cocktails (buy one get one free).
There is bingo early evening every night and a karaoke, which starts at 11.30pm most nights.

The swimming pool was okay but too deep for my children (ages 6 & 4) and the kid’s pool was too shallow to keep them amused for long. We used a fantastic pool on the beach at the north end of the resort called Paradise pool. It is behind the "Happy Bar & Grill". The Sever/Yug has a small gym, a shop, a play area and an Internet cafe. The staff were friendly.

The hotel is about 200m from the beach and 800m from the resort centre. Most of the guests are Irish. The Irish are B&B which means that they mainly eat out do the restaurant is very quiet in the evenings).

I would return to this hotel if Balkan would offer B&B instead of half board.
