Holiday Inn Resort Hotel

After emailling the hotel and trying to book through other websites, the Holiday Inn..Phuket looked almost an impossible dream...until I asked my Australian travel agent to secure 2 rooms...which she did at an excellant rate only 2 weeks before our departure. My children are 16, 10 & 9 loved the hotel, the kids club was "cool" enough for the 9 & 10 year old leaving the 16yr old able to enjoy some shopping and spa treatments with her mother. The staff without fail were always genuinely pleased to say good morning, and this applies to all staff whether it be the housekeeping or waiters.... The rooms were beautiful very modern, beautiful bathrooms with huge shower roses, and the decoration throughout the hotel is of a 5 star hotel...excellant value for money... The children were free for any meals, and the bfast at $10 per person per day amazing value... The children can't wait to return next year.

We recently returned from Phuket and could not rate higher the Holiday Inn. My children (12 & 8) had a ball as did my husband and I. There are so many options. If you love to shop, want to go to the beach for jet skiiing,parasailing,cheap massage,etc or find a different place to eat....you can. OR if you want quiet and peace with beautiful surroundings you can stay by the pool or get in a tuk tuk and go investigating. We stayed in the Busakorn wing and it was beautiful. The staff were very friendly and catered for everything you could need. (They supplied shampoo, soap, conditioner, moisturiser, they had a doctor on site that will visit your room and even an international adaptor for the power points if needed!)The breakfast every morning was fantastic with everything you could possibly want...and more! When we return for our next holiday in Phuket we will stay here for sure!!

We (Me and my wife) stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and it met all our expectations. The best things about this hotel is that the people are very polite/kind and warm. They are more than happy to go out of they way to help you out. We stayed at the buskorn studio and the room was fantastic and overlooked the pool. The location of the hotel is also very good. Since it is in the heart of patong everything is within walking distance like market area/pubs/eating joints etc...... the hotel has also got some fantastic restaurants so do not miss out on the food. Of course patong beach is not as good as kata and karong beach but we hired a bike for 200 bhats and found it easier this way to stay at patong and visit kata/karong beaches whenever we needed to go. Pool is really good and they have happy hours from 1700 to 1900hrs. The breakfast was quite good at the hotel and we liked everything about Phuket. Would highly recommend this hotel to all you travellers.

We, 2 adults and our child age 8 and 10 stay in a Deluxe Seaview Room in the Main Wing. The King Bed is huge (240 cm X 240cm) enough to accomodate the 4 of us despite the website 's note that state the room can only accomodate 2 adult. The new deco and design of the room is one of the best, comparable or even better than Conrad Bangkok and Langham Place HongKong.With its 40 inch LCD Plasma , open concept bathroom, beautiful pool and sea view, even most 5 star Hotel's room are inferior to them. We encounter some problem during check in when our taxi drop us at the Busukom Wing. As such we have to walk quite a distance to the Main Wing. However the hotel's service are excellent throughout. The Management have indeed put great effort on that and there is vast improvement shown compare to a year ago. At 5900 BHT during low season, the seaview room is a steal!

We stayed here for 10 nights recently and agree with everyone else about the standard of this resort. We had booked a family suite in the main wing which was absolutely superb. Anybody with small children as we had(ages 4 and 7) will be thrilled at these rooms. We also were as we had our own room with exceptional services and facilities. The staff could not do enough for you, and were fascinated with our children. My daughter cut her chin whilst we were away requiring sutures, and the staff at the resrt could not do enough. She was even sent red roses with a nice card to ensure she was ok. these little touches reinforced why we will be going back. the breakfasts were excellent, and we too ate most other meals from the other restaraunts due to their high quality and service. All in all a perfect spot, and well worth recommending to others. One piece of advice; email the resort directly or look on their internet site before booking, as their prices were far cheaper than the travel agents could provide. They are most obliging with recommendations.

I booked the main wing superior room from their hotel website, which was the lowest rate I encountered, with welcome drinks and buffet breakfasts included. The room was more spacious than I thought. Unexpectedly, they provided me with a baby cot for my 4-month baby, in fact, I didn't request for one. Another unexpected thing is, I am happy that they treated my baby as one of the staying guests, because they provided me with 3 welcome drink coupons, 3 sets of towels, etc. I really appreciated it.

We have just returned from our first visit to Phuket with our 2 year old daughter and had a wonderful time at the Holiday Inn in a Busakorn Villa room. The room was lovely and the private pool in the Busakorn villa area was just gorgeous without the crowds of the Busakorn Pool or the main wing pool. The staff could not do enough for us and when we ate at the restaurants (Terrazzo, Busakorn and Sam's were all outstanding) our little girl was the centre of attention giving us a short reprieve. We will definately return to Phuket in the future and will not hesitate to book a Busakorn villa again!. If you are worried about the additional cost of the Busokorn villa don't - it is definately worth it!

After reading so many glowing reviews of this hotel, we quickly booked and got a fantastic rate directly on the hotel's website. We stayed for 10 nights in a pool villa in the Busakorn wing. We weren't disappointed. The room was large and very comfortable with a huge bed and shower room and a balcony overlooking what I can only describe as the swimming pool in a tropical paradise. The hotel itself is very well run. The people are exceptionally friendly and go out of their way to help you. A cake on our arrival (it was our wedding anniversary), the weekly hotel cocktail party (free drinks and canapes and a photograph taken of the 2 of us which was promptly posted through our door); it was the little touches that make this hotel and its service outstanding. Right in the centre of things, it is amazing how you could be lying in the pool and not realise the hustle & bustle of Patong is literally a stone's throw outside the hotel's entrance. It is very easy to travel around Phuket and we did quite a few excursions just by asking where the best places were to go and getting a taxi/tuk tuk. This saved us money from some of the more expensive organised tours. There are plenty of bars and places to eat (approx £15-20 for 3 course meal and drinks for 2). The meal in the Busakorn at the end of our stay, although a little more pricey than outside the hotel, was the highlight of our holiday. Excellent Thai food and beautiful surroundings! Just bear in mind that everything within the hotel incurs 10% service charge & 7% tax. Saying that, nothing was really expensive. All in all, a fantastic hotel, very reasonably priced and very well situated if you want to be in the heart of things. We definately want to go back.

Our third stay in four at this wonderful hotel. The pool access rooms at the Busakorn Villas are fabulous, and Supot the bar man does everything possible to make you feel welcome and pampered! He especially likes to talk about Premiership football! Although the hotel is in the center of the action in Patong, we rarely ventured out to eat because of the high standard of food on the hotel restuarants. We especially enjoyed the beef wellington at Sams. The Busakorn is great and they will also teach you how to cook the food at home if you attend the Thai cooking classes - especially good value at UK 20 sterling - you even get to eat what you have cooked at the end! Would love to go back soon - we will be taking a break next year as we don't want to get over familiar with it all and spoil it, but will be retuning in 2008.

We experienced all of this hotel. At time of check-in to the busakorn wing we decided to extend our stay. Unfortunately the busakorn wing was fully booked so we had to move for our last two nights to the 'Main Wing'....concerned at first but we were not disappointed. This hotel was fantastic, the staff had a genuine can-do attitude for the whole 10 day stay. The Busakorn wing is beautiful as it says it is more traditional, the pool is magnificent and it's surroundings beautiful. The rooms are clean and well laid out. The bed however was a little hard but hey we live in Asia and soft beds are hard to come by. The most memorable part of our stay was splashing out on the 'Harmony Package' at the Asapara Spa. It was worth every cent, we had private use of the plunge pools, steam room and sauna. At first we had double booked and didn't realise that the kids club closes for dinner for 1 hour at the time we had booked to start our massage. This was not a problem, the girl from the kids club offered to come and get our son from the treatment room when she had finished her dinner break, and also not to worry would make sure she ordered his dinner also. We could not keep our son away from the place he loved the kids club and their pools and I must say I found the kids slide to be a lot of fun also.. At the end of our stay when we transfered over to the main wing we had booked the deluxe seaview room...beautiful room. A totally different experience with a magnificent bathroom and amenities, oh and this bed was alot softer. All in All this is the place for families to stay in Phuket. Close to everything and truly wonderful, friendly staff.
