Okay, so my wife and I are on the 5th day of our honeymoon in Krabi at Phulay Bay, Ritz Carlton A few things upfront: 1- I am a very picky traveler - I love the finer resorts and my wife does too. The secret to one of the greatest hotels in the world is to meld together Great Service, food, accomodation, entertainment, privacy and relaxation, asthetic beauty and a hotel that makes you feel special. Glad we arrived at dark to experience the stunning entrance to the resort , all lit up with thousands of live candles. We were immediately golf cartered away by our butler - JB - who offered to massage our feet and unpack our luggage, both of which we declined. Stayed 3 nights in beach villa 7. We spend 15 days in this fantastic resort. We have one beach villa and one reserve villa. Both villas was spacious and wonderfully luxurious. The service at this modern hotel is very good and higly recommendable if you seek peace and quiet . Also a big thank to our butler Mr Day who make this vacation to a dream and rememerable, he looked after us the whole stay and arranged every thing for you. Best butler ever.

We had booked an ocean pavillion.. the view from our balcony was very much blocked by the trees.. but we had a private terrace with 180 degree view which was great. the room was big and very well decorated.. everything in the room was big (double height). the bed is oversized (2mX4m) which we enjoyed very much.. :-) the moonlit tub bath for 2 was an experience in itself.. the location is ok.. not very great bcoz of some kind of construction in the sea nearby. the beach seemed rocky so we didn't swim there.. the swimming pool was great... more

I rarely ever write reviews, but this time I couldn't stop myself. This place is absloutely amazing! Let's start from the beginning. We are demanding travelers and our benchmark is set pretty high. Talking of resorts in Asia our favourite were Mandarin Oriental in Chiang Mai, The Datai in Langkawi, One & Only in the Maldives and Four Seasons in Langkawi. All of them outsanding. Nice hotel if you don't like to swim in the ocean and if you want to be far away from everything. There is a beach but it is very rocky. The hotel is very nice if you like very modern hotels.

I'm very happy that it happened that I'm the first person who is writing review on this hotel after it was opened December the 22th 2009. The Hotel located in Southern Thailand province Krabi on a shore of Andaman sea and the place is absolutely beautiful.
