Great Staff & Friendly atmosphere
from pelchan2000
I dont normally write travel reviews but really confussed as to why people have given this hotel a bad review?? We stayed for 7 nights as part of our honeymoon and were upgraded to the honeymoon suite with fantastic ocean and beach views from our own jacuzzi. We found the staff to be great people and the whole hotel has a friendly relaxed atmosphere. The gardens are lush and tropical, the only downside as mentioned before were the stairs leading to the room - but worth the trek with the view and privacy at the top. Restaurant was ok but we...

Delighted with pakasai
from frizzbrain
I don't normally feel the need to write a review of a particular hotel, but after reading the negative reviews of this hotel i felt the need indeed. My girlfriend and i arrived yesterday after getting a deal for 25 pounds a night. When we arrived our first impression was not a kitsch greek hotel at all but a fresh, open and fairly posh one, and as we sat whilst checking in we were brought a tasty watermelon beverage. We were also pleased to hear we had been upgraded to a superior room, and although it was a bit of a trek to the room {our...

Great pool, quiet location, friendly staff
from Anna O'D
My husband and I stayed at the Pakasai for ten nights in December. The hotel is set on a hill covered in jungle and the guest rooms are in buildings amongst the jungle. Each building is three storeys high and houses approx 4 rooms on each level. Few have views of the sea, though we were quite happy looking out into the jungle. We had no complaints about the level of cleanliness, though given the humidity, rooms can smell a bit musty. The pool is a good size, though a bit shallow for swimming lengths. I had no complaints about the sun...

Aussie's recent stay
from mcb5050
After reading recent reviews just before we left for our trip I was very worried about what may greet us. Suffice to say we found none of the problems mentioned in recent reviews to be either apparent or of any relevance to us. Sure the "fitness equipment" was fairly sparse but then who needs to pound away when on holidays anyway. We were given an upgrade on arrival despite it being the high season so our unit was set up fairly high in the complex. This ensured that we got our workout going to and from the rooms so if you are unable to cope...

Absolutely dreadfull.....
from djcj
I cannot agree more with wayneyboy35 who has summed it up perfectly. It's only redeeming feature was the pool which was clean & did have the 'internet' view I suppose. However the sunbeds were tired & the fitness area pathetic. My beef is with KUONI. I booked 3 'First Class' hotels and got what I wanted at the Holiday Inn Silom in Bangkok and the D2 in Chang Mai (highly recommended) but this hotel was awful. The room smelled dank & musty and not helped by the aircon not having been put on prior to our arrival. The bedding had...

Pakasai -our experience
from spicy_gal
As I write this review we are sitting at the lobby of the Pakasai waiting for our taxi. The hotel itself is just off the AoNang beach area soclose by to shops and restaurants. This is a good thing as the food at the hotel itself was not too great. Breakfast consists of bacon rashers, some toast and am omelette, plus a few varieties of cereal. However you need to come to breakfast early if you want to sample the choice as after 9.30am it seems the staff are less willing to replenish the food stocks (I found this to be the case especially...

Really Poor ......
from wayneyboy35
I have to say that I am a little surprised at the more positive comments in relation to this hotel. We were booked to stay here at the end of our holiday and were more than disapointed in the place. The main problem with the Pakasai is that the images on the internet, including its own website, are extremely misrepresentative of the place. The resort is NOT set in deepest countryside / beach setting, but rather, just off the main Ao Nang town stretch. The infinity pool overlooks a dusty road and not the beautiful Andaman sea as the...

Loved the Pakasai!
from jiffy2006
Stayed at the Pakasai (Ao Nang) for ten days - whilst it is a bit of hike up steps through rainforest style gardens to get to the Villas - its worth it. The room was large with a huge private patio looking into the rainforest canopy. The shower was large enough to fit two, plus a decent bath tub (separate) and plenty of room at the basin for travel junk. The bed was HIUGE (King) and required a step up via a wooden platform. The mattress was incredibly "firm", but you got used to it, and actually was comfy. Our air conditioner was a...

Peaceful Pakasai
from Eli73
We stayed here for around seven days and loved it. The hotel is located in a gorgeous rainforest setting and although our room was a bit of a hike up lots of steps it was worth it as the view was gorgeous. The rooms are nicely done and very peaceful, its a nice place to chill out. The pool is lovely, although when we were there they were building a new hotel next door so it might be a little overlooked now. The town itself is very nice, lovely restaurants, plenty of choice and very good value. We found Ao Nang to be the...
