Krabi Thai Village Resort Hotel

We had honeymooned at this hotel,in 2002,when it was bright fresh,and new. We were welcomed by the assistant manager,with a cool drink,and face towel. She recognised us, from our stay nearly four years ago,which really surprised us, as staff must see so many come and go. I stayed here with some family members in March and we were not dissapointed. We were originally booked into the Ao Nang Villas on the beach which also looked very pretty but close to departure our travel agent rang to say no room at the inn and moved us the Krabi Village. It was a little treck from the beach but hotel was in a beautiful landscape with hills around and lush gardens. Overall this hotel is excellent, easy check in/out, great pools and pool bar and wonderful room. The location is great too as it is in Ao Nang close to all the hustle and bustle but not directly on the beach, the hotel itself is located a couple of minutes walk away in a perfectly quiet location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The tour desk was very helpful and when I left my jacket on a tour bus, the lady at the desk immediately called them and managed to get the jacket delivered to the hotel for me. We have just returned from a 12 night stay and could not fault it at all. From the excellent service and personal attention from all members of staff to the lovely spacious clean bedrooms and good food, we cannot praise this hotel enough and would recommend a stay here without hesitation and would love to return.

We used this hotel for the last week of our holiday in Thailand. The entrance lobby was really impressive and we were welcomed with a cold towel and cocktail. The room was large, clean and comfortable and all rooms had balconies overlooking the pools. The pools were spotlessly clean and big enough to have a proper swim. There were plenty of sunbeds and parasols and a swim up bar. All the staff were friendly and cheerful. Stayed here for 10 days in July with my family in two beautiful connecting rooms. Service was excellent from the moment we checked in with attentive staff everywhere, especially at the pool bar and in the restaurant at night. Resort was very quiet due to the very low season but all hotel facilities were available. Even though food and drink prices were higher than in the local town they are actually very reasonable compared to western prices. We are just back after spending 14 night in this hotel. All we can say is the hotel is beautiful, modern, clean and the rooms were excellant. The service was second to none and we have stayed in hotels all over the world. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a good range of foods for every taste and poolside menu was also good. When going to Ao Nang you must try the fish restaruants at the beach front as they are very good value and you get to pick your own fish. The average price for a meal for two is 900 Bht... more

This is a traditional Thai-style hotel set back from the bustle of Ao Nang, on a hillside about a 10 minute walk from the beach - or a 20 baht tuk tuk ride. It is in a peaceful location, and rooms all face the gardens and pools, as there is no sea view (as far as we could tell). We just came back after 2 weeeks in Thailand and Krabi and i can just say that it has been a fantastic expirience. Krabi Thai Villa resort is a great hotel with a staff that is hard to find ( means that it really came from there hart) they always smiled and they are always ready to help. This hotel(resort!!)was our home for the final 9 days of an excellent holiday in Thailand, and I don't feel that we could have picked a much better place to stay. OK, it is in a quieter part of town and some 10/15 mins walk to main shopping/restaurant area & beach, but we enjoyed this as we found the excercise of benefit. There were always plenty of taxis/tuk-tuks at very little cost if we needed them,and tended to favour this for our trips back after a good meal.
