My daughter and I booked a two week holiday to Thailand staying for 7 nights at the hotel having been told by our oporator that this was a quite hotel. we arrived late evening and was disapointed how dingy the room was. upon waking we immediatly heard the sound of drilling, lookng out from our belcony over the pool and see we found we were right next door to a building site and one across the road. the work men were ready well at it by 7.30. we went down to breakfast and all we could hear in the back ground was drilling and banging. again from our belcony we filmed diggers, and workmen on the roofs and at one point climbing over the wall in to the pool area. from the pool the work men could see every one on the sun beds. the dinning area is very basic and bit old syled UK holiday camp style.
Needless to say we transfered that day to another hotel, but the staff did want us to sign some that said we did not have any complaints.
Our room was very dingy and a tiny belcony two cheap white plastic chairs. a very tired hotel that desperatly needs a good make over.

I have stayed at this hotel twice, March 2006 and March 2008. Both times we have had excellent rooms with every facility you could want. The rooms are large, well equipped and furniture and beds of a high standard. Ask for a room overlooking the back and you will have beautiful views over Ao Nang bay. The rooms were cleaned every day and the staff were lovely right across the hotel. Could not do enough for us.
Breakfast is an open buffet with everything you could possibly want and caters for Western and Eastern tastes. A chef is also on hand to cook you eggs fresh to order. The hotel is in a perfect location with just a 5 minute walk to the beachfront. Plenty of bars, shops and restaurants in the vicinity without being in your face. I do believe there was an issue with building works in 2007 (a brand new hotel has now opened near Krabi Heritage) but all works now completed. Please do not be put off by negative reviews. I have stayed in different resorts in Thailand (and had a particularly nasty experience with a hotel in Karon Beach, Phuket!) but this is one of the best hotels, for the money, and that is the operative phrase. If you want 5 star luxury, you will pay 5 star prices. This is a very good hotel at a very good price. Try it.
