We stayed at the Andaman for 2 weeks in March and loved it.
We were a bit concerned before we went as some of the other reviews we had read made the hotel sound shabby - we did not think this at all.
Yes the hotel was dated but it was very clean and had everything that was needed. The tropical gardens were lovely and filled with birds and lizards.
The hotel has 3 pools so there is always room to sunbathe and most of the time we went to the cottage pool and there was only us there, so it felt like your own personal pool.
The hotel is right on the beach and in easy walking distance of some great places to eat.
For the money you can't go wrong with the Andaman.

It is advised to get a hire car or motorcycle as it is a little bit out of the way.
Next to the beach, so it easy to jump on a boat to all the island e.g. ko phi phi, chicken islands, Phuket and railway.
There is a bus this can be unreliable to get to Ao Nang, taxi’s can be expensive, this is not a place I would recommend for backpackers due to there is not a lot to do but can be good as a base for island hopping.
I hope this info is good for anyone considering travelling to Krabi.
