Fun & Relaxing best of both worlds
We spent 11 days at The Imperial Samui for our honeymoon. The property is really beautiful and well maintained. It is set on a hillside that over looks the ocean and the views and scenery are breath taking and unforgettable. The salt water pool which looks out onto the ocean was just fabulous. There is a pool bar and hotel staff are at your service while you sunbake or to bring you drinks while your in the pool. We swam in the ocean which was clean & crystal clear green. Breakfast was awesome so much variety. We stayed in a honeymoon... more
Absolutely Beautiful
We spent 7 nights at the Imperial Samui and loved it. I would definitely stay there again. The service was excellent, the surroundings were beautiful, lush rainforest. We had a very basic room but it was great, very authentic, with a wonderful huge balcony, even though we didn't have an "ocean view" room we still have a view of the ocean. The room was clean and spacious. The two pools are excellent, our favourite was the salt water pool, right next to the ocean. The restaurant is great too, we ate there several times, Beach party is a... more
Superb service
Stayed at the Imperial Samui and having not travelled around in Thailand before I was highly impressed by the level of service. The hotel is very impressive with a good range of facilities. 2 large swimming pools, one by the hotel and one next to the beach which too is beautiful. Food was nice and there were plenty of theme nights should you want to spend the evening dining at the hotel rather than go out to Chaweng. No complaints especially as we manage to give us an upgrade after 3 days to the Boat House Samui which was truly excellent.
Everything's Fantastic!!
We stayed at the Imperial Samui for 10 nights and can't wait to go back again next year! Whilst there it was our Wedding Anniversary & a birthday & we recieved flowers, wine & cakes! All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the hotel was clean, tidy and very well presented. The room was a good size with the same sized balcony to match. The palm trees got in the way of the sea view, but you're only a 2 minute walk away from it anyway! If you stay at this hotel you MUST try Beach Love restaurant situated past the beach pool, turn... more
Best Holiday
We spent 10 days at the Imperial celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. It would be the most relaxing holiday we have had and the Hotel made it even more special by delivery a heart shaped cake and bottle of champayne to our room on the morning of our anniversary. It was also my husband's birthday while there and the housekeeping staff arrived with a lovely floral and fruit arrangement and the management sent another cake with candles this time. We couldn't have had a better celebration. We stayed in the Junior Suite with a... more
Excellent holiday and hotel
Hotel is definitely one of the best I've stayed at. We went after a manic 3 days in Hong Kong - what a contrast ! We had one of the superior sea facing rooms which was really nice, big and always kept very clean. Beach was great but pay attention to the no swimming flags. They mean what they say and at least twice people got into serious trouble whilst we were there. When calm the swimming was good with a nice gentle slope. We went B&B and always ate our evening meal at one of the restaurants down the beach or on the main... more
Relaxing
We had a great honeymoon at the Imperial. Although we had to spend out first night in a cheaper room, after their mistake - an overbooking, we received a free meal at their restaurant, which almost made up for it. The resort is great - excellent pools, great buffet breakfast, excellent service. The only drawback which many have noted is the amount of walking up and down stairs to get anywhere... we were on a third level - which entailed not only 3 lots of stairs to get anywhere, but more to get down to the pool, or up to the... more
Best Holiday Ever
Just got back from 14 nights at this hotel and I had to write a review after finding this site so useful in finding a holiday destination / hotel. I have travelled all over Europe / USA / Caribbean and I have never met a friendlier race of people anywhere. Whilst staying in Thailand you can expect a GENUINE friendly response from local people and excellent service. We flew with Thai airways which was excellent (leg room in economy was best I have ever seen, better than BA, Virgin, American, United, Delta, Emirates). From the... more
Disappointed at the Imperial...
Stayed here for one night only in July and that was more than enough to put us off. Arrived late from Singapore and were taken to Imperial Samui, which is right on the main Samui ring road and so some of the wings are really noisy. We were shown to a room which was a good size but had two single beds, despite requesting a double. There was also a resident lizard (Not gecko!) in the room. When we asked to move to a double room the attitude of the staff was less than impressive and they took us to a much smaller room with a double bed.... more
Super Staff, Fab Food & Miracle Massages!
We stayed in the Imperial in Nov 2004 and it was just fab. The hotel itself is located 10 mins drive (taxi fare 2 euro) from chaweng on a lovely quiet beach. The hotel is set in the most beautiful grounds with little bridges and streams filled with golden fish all over but note there are lots of steps. Frog & cricket chorus at night has to be heard to be believed! We stayed in one of the newly furnished rooms with a sea view and while not as big as we had hoped, it was beautifully decorated and the bathroom and shower in particular... more
