Hyatt Regency Hotel

We staryed for 10 days at the begining of June. I had e mailed ahead and upgraded our booking to the Regency Club, luckily I took a copy of the confirmation e mail with me as on checking in we found the receptionists rude and abrupt knowing nothing about the upgrade. Whilst we were being taken to our room I enquired whre the Regency Club, Pool etc was located to which we were told "down those steps". As soon as you arrive at the hotel, you will either love or hate the lobby. As a Thai, I do not really like the lobby much since it was really hot. It was an open pavilion with no air conditioning. In order to get to the room, it was pretty far but on the way there are so many things to see. Great garden. The pool was enormous and you just can't wait to jump right into it. Would definitely recommend this hotel for families with young kids. Getting there is made easy by a moderately priced shuttle from the Grand Hyatt in Bangkok - our journey there was very relaxed and passed quickly; however the trip back to BKK was marred by a jerky, rally-type driving style that did nothing for the digestion! The Hyatt Regency remains one of my favorite hotels. The Regency Club provides that extra touch of style. The service is always excellent and the hotel restaurants are reasonable in price for such a high standard. As I was on my own visiting for a conference I used the excellent Hyatt transfer service from and back to Bangkok. This service is one of the plus features.

The hotel is 4 hour by car from BKK airport. After I have arranged for a private car, I learned that there is a scheduled pick-up/drop-off service (for 500 Bahts) from the Grand Hyatt in BKK. The hotel is not super luxiourous, but its layout is very well thought-out. It is your typical 3.5/4-star resort hotel with large rooms that comes with balconies. We just got back from 10 days in Hua Hin and I have to say that the Hyatt was perfect for the family. We booked a room in something called the Regency Club which gives you access to a club house where they serve breakfast and free drinks and snacks from 1700 to 1900 in the evening. The clubhouse was a good place for meeting others and swapping experiences and places to go. The main pool area is heaven for kids. Travelled to hua hin after 4 nights in Bangkok with wife and two friends. We were due to stay at the new Sheraton but its opening has been delayed (again). How pleased we are that we were transferred to the Hyatt Regency. I'm sure that the Sheraton will be a good hotel but it will be several years before it has mature spectacular tropical gardens like the Hyatt. What an absolute delight. We travelled in a groupof 14 to attend a wedding at the Marriott resort at Hua Hin. We had booked into the Sheraton at Cha-Am but it failed to be completed on time so the staff at the Sheraton booked us in here. We were upgraded to Club room accomodation which included 2 hours of snacks and drinks between 5pm and 7pm daily. We stay 2 weeks at Hyatt and it 's a very nice hotel. The room is big, modern and the housekeeping is outstanding. The pool and garden are very nice and Big!. The staff are nice and helpfull.

I stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights due to a wedding that I attended. The rooms are nice and comfortable with either sea or garden views. Trust me! the garden area is so beautiful that you won't be disappointed if you miss out on the sea view. The swimming pool is a masterpiece of meandering rivers that bring out the kid in even the stuffiest of adults. The water slide is a must!
