Pangkor Island Beach Resort Hotel

We have just returned from this resort and had a lovely time. For the price the service and accomodation was excellent. OK it wasn't as slick as a five star but then it doesn't cost anywhere near as much as a five star. The staff are brilliant and very helpful. My kids particularly adored Maizey in the kids club, there were lots of arts and crafts type activities. We had an Ocean wing room which was a good size and well furnished. We stayed in a ground floor room in the Pacific Wing.The room itself was lovely, good size with wood floors and a 4 poster bed. Both room and bathroom very clean. The room opened out onto a small verandah with a lovely garden area overlooking one of two pool area. The resort and grounds were very well maintained On the minus side, the resort was out on a limb therefore you had to eat in the hotel which was expensive so its worth getting a half board package. We stayed at Pangkor Island Beach Resort over Easter 2006. The hotel was great. Lovely sea facing balconies (we stayed at the Ocean Wing), white clean sand. There are deck chairs so one can lie by the pool or on the beach, soaking up the sun. It was like having the beach to ourselves - there can't have been more than a dozen people on the beach at any one time. . Stayed at the Pangkor Island Beach Resort in February 2006 and would rate the hotel as more a good 3 star rather than 4 star establishment it is rated at. Everything was jaded and needed updating. The food was mediocre and a little expensive. It appears to be heavily used by tour operators and offers typical beach resort facilities. The location is excellent as it is on the beach which is very very good. However there was something in the sea water that stung us. We've just returned from Pangkor Island Beach Resort. All we can say is that the resort was great: staff, food, rooms, beach - everything perfect. The food was fresh and delicious - variety of meals, especially seafood, fish and vegetables. We still can't forget the taste of all these desserts :) You should definitively go there - not crowded, quiet place (just hornbills ;), spectacular sunsets - specially intended for honeymooners :) We wish to go there someday again...

We recently stayed at the Pangkor Island Beach Resort and thought it was an excellent hotel. The beach and ocean was amazing. Ocean water was really warm and calm. We stayed in Ocean Wing room and it was very clean and appeared to be pretty recently renovated. Food was good and staff friendly. We would definately stay there again. We had a very enjoyable stay and highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

We stayed there over the New Year's weekend and it was awesome.Loved the party atmosphere for the New Year's eve dinner, the following live band entertainment and FIREWORKS DISPLAY on the beach at the stroke of midnight!! It was the first time they had it and looks like they might do it every year.We stayed in the Ocean Wing, lovely room as well.Very nice and clean resort, well-kept gardens.Dont really like the monkeys though and my kids got a bit of a fright when one came in and stole our packet of cashew nuts.And the hornbills....what a... more

we booked a garden view room, and when we checked in, our room was upgraded to pacific wing room with no additional charge. the food was excellent, and so is the choice of food. the resort has fantastic sea view and very friendly staff. might stay there again in future and we highly recommend you to stay at this resort!

I stayed at Pangkor Island Beach Resort during Xmas 2005. The hotel was luxurious. Lovely sea facing balconies (we stayed at the Pacific Wing), white clean sand. There are deck chairs so one can lie by the pool or on the beach, soaking up the sun. Sigh. The hotel is located in a bay giving it a very private feel to it as you can see forests at the extreme left and right of the beach. Good water sports facilities (eg. jet skiing, parasailing, banana boat). I wudnt advise anyone to go snorkelling though as there are no corals around that part... more

We have just returned from pangkor(10th-12th Nov) and we (my husband & i) referred this hotel as: "it is a must to stay & to choose this hotel as they accomodate "yOu" with the best beach view at the pacific & ocean wing. They provide you with a very friendly & helpful service. There is definitely no complain about it.
