Four Seasons Hotel

My husband and I were delighted to be able to take advantage of the opening promotion, and stay at a significant discount to their full rate (mind, this discounted rate still very expensive by global standards). We LOVED the rooms and the design of the resort - lovely Moorish touches everywhere, and unlike anywhere we'd visited. It's been a week since I was at the Four Seasons with my friend and it's hard to come back to reality. From the moment we arrived, we stepped into another world. Even though it was raining we could appreciate the beauty from the foyer entrance through to the check in area overlooking a beautiful large pond. We stayed in the lower Meleucca Pavillion which would have to be one of the best rooms I have stayed in. My husband and I stayed in a beachfront villa (Number 7 which is very private and not too far from everything) for 7 days. Every part of this holiday was amazing, the villa was unbelievably spacious, staff were out of this world !!!. We have stayed at the most luxurious hotels all over the world and the Four Seasons is definitely at the top of our list now. The adult only pool was fantastic, the spa also. I would highly recommend this resort - we will definitely be back.

We are speechless when it comes to the Four Seasons. Every staff member on the property (including gardeners) remember your name. The levels of service at this resort will exceed even the highest expectations. The grounds are absolutely immaculate, food is devine, the premises are breathtaking. Every inch of this place is heavenly. Please see our wedding pictures, held at the Four Seasons in January 2006. At 50 acres, the grounds seem empty even at 100% capacity. This is, by far, the most luxurious, breathtaking resort we have ever seen.

We have stayed at this resort twice now and have loved it! Once in a Beach Front Villa with pool, and more recently the Upper Malelucca room. Both are stunning, but of course the Beach Front Villa with pool is that once in a life time chance to live life like a celebrity. Pure indulgence, and enough room to house a party! Stayed here in October 2005 for a week during the so called rainy season, which turned out was just some showers at night. Easily one of the best resorts around Asia, and there are many excellent ones around. We stayed at the beach villa and its easily one of the best designed villas around, worth every penny we paid. If you can afford to stay at the villas, then I definitely recommend them over the pavillions. Inside the villas, the ceiling was very high, very nicely decorated with oversized local furniture. We stayed for 6 days over Easter and really didn't want to go back home. The hotel is outstanding with lush tropical gardens, superb rooms and very friendly staff. The spa is out of this world (according to my wife and daughter). I was told that hotel was full but with a maximum capacity of 200 and over 1 km of length on the beach you were hard-pressed to feel crowded. The service by the Concierge, Jay, was excellent - he managed to fulfil every wish we had. The on-site naturalist, Aidi, really knew his stuff about the flora and fauna... more

Being a travel agent I have seen and stayed at some amazing hotels and resorts but this was the best so far. The staff, rooms, facilities, service and quality of food was outstanding. It was one of the most memorable holidays and I will certainly be back. If you expect 5 star service and 5 star quality this is the only resort in Langkawi to stay.

We have just returned from a trip of South East Asia. We stayed at the Four Seasons for five days and we absolutely adored it. We have seen many beautiful hotels around the world, but this definitely beats it. The hotel is extremely beautiful, and wonderfully decorated and laid out. The staff are extraordinarily friendly and helpful. Two years ago we stayed at the Datai, and we didn't want to go back. After our stay at the Four Seasons, we definitely want to go back, the sooner the better.

If you are wanting luxury then this is one luxurious resort but I'm afraid it lacks soul and character. Maybe this is because it is resonably new and resonably large. No complaints regarding staff, very friendly and attentive. A beautiful white sand beach that was mostly deserted when we were there. Forget the cement factory, if this is a problem for you then you're a very sad person. Although of course there were other guests, we hardly saw anyone when we were out and about the resort.
