On arrival to the hotel the rooms were basic but clean although there was only one plug socket in the room but overall ok.
The hotel staff at the reception was friendly and tried to help where possible, although there is a slight language barrier but that was to be expected. The catering staff were helpful and did do a good job at clearing away.
The cleaners that cleaned the rooms were very good at making the rooms clean and tidy even though their idea of security was to leave the balcony doors unlocked, and on a few occasions the door was left open not a good standard to leave.
Finally on to the bar staff there was two different men a younger man that wasn't able to speak English fully but could understand most of what was said to him. He was very polite and would go the extra mile to make sure that you were comfortable and happy.
Then there was the older man that worked behind the bar he was rude and ignorant when speaking to me and my partner, but was able to speak to other holiday makers perfectly fine, it made me and my partner feel uncomfortable and outcasted, at one stage I thought it was because we were English not German. I strongly believe that this man needs a course on customer care.
The facilities, the hotel does have a range of things to do i.e.; 2 swimming pools which are impressive, a pool table, gambling and games machines, internet terminals and a TV room but as the hotel caters for mainly Germans it doesn’t have any English channels so if the weather is bad there is some things to do but not much though.
The food, breakfast is ok, there are a lot of different selections and caters for most but the sausages taste funny and the bacon is processed but there is tea, coffee and juice. Dinner, there is a lot of selections again but most of the food has an acquired taste but there are a lot of nice restaurants five minutes’ walk away. I would recommended Del Sol.
Overall the hotel is ok but there is a few things that need to be addressed and changed.

We were more than happy with this hotel for our holiday in Mallorca.
Arenal has a lot of German tourists, most of the people in shops and hotels speak German but also some English. Arenal was lovely, plenty of places to eat and drink. The beach was lovely and there were various activities to do.
The hotel was great. It was less than 5 minutes walk from the sea front shops and the beach. It had everything we needed there. The room was fine, balcony, clean, shower. I would wonder how hot it would get in the height of summer though.
The food in the hotel was lovely. We were half board and ate dinner in the hotel every night as it was so good. There was something for everyone. For dinner there was always a salad bar which was extensive and varied each day.
Then there was a selection of hot food which could be chicken, beef, fish, etc and then a selection of veg. there was normally some sort of pasta too. Again it varied each day.
The dessert was a cake or crème caramel or something like that, or ice cream or there was always fruit!
The breakfast was also good. There was always a selection of meat and cheese with fresh tomatoes type things with little cakey type things. Then there was the hot section which was fried or scrambled egg, boiled egg, bacon, sausages, and there was bread for toasting. There were cereals and Fruit and a hot drink machine and orange juice.
The hotel had a nice little bar, which had happy hour at various times in day, this lead to the main pool. It was quite small and there wasn't often seat left but it was pleasant out there. There was a really small pool and sun area of the 11th floor which was lovely.
Usually quiet and a great place to relax, sunbathe and cool off in the pool. In the evenings the hotel could be quite noisy with people getting in. In the mornings the outside could be quite noisy with general traffic but we were at the front so I guess this had an impact.
I would recommend this place, as I really enjoyed it. It was the sort of place you could just get on a and enjoy your holiday.

We have just come back after our 3rd year at the hotel torre arenal.We have always found the hotel very accomadating, especial all the staff...bar ,reception,resturant and the cleaners but especially the hotel manager Torlo,who could not do enough for us and he always makes are holiday a memorable one.
The Hotel is a little dated but the food is beautifull and all the ameneties you could want are a close distance away from the hotel.i carn,t wait till next time.....
