We had two ajoining bungalows which were very clean and nicely furnished. Both bungalows had patios and private gardens with garden furniture. The restaraunt was warm as it did not have air con however it was clean and there were plenty of well spaced out tables. The food... more

I first went to the Sonora Golf Bungalows in March 2007 for one week. We thought the place was lovely, very clean, friendly staff (except one or two bar staff) and food satisfactory. My 4 yr old son (then 3) has a severe learning disability and behavioural problems and my... more

Well...we arrived at the resort at 9:30 approx. We had to bang on the door to get the man at the receptions attention. The man couldn't really speak that much English. He told us that we had some food ready for us. We wern't to happy about having to wear wristbands, but i... more

We arrived at the Sonara Golf Bungalows at 22.30 after a delayed flight. Rang the bell and a caretaker person arrived with scant knowledge of English and said restaurant closed, but they had put a basic picnic together so we had something to eat that evening. We were given... more

I booked my long-awaited holiday to Gran Canaria at the Sonora Golf Bungalows. Then I read the reviews. Off I went and approached the complex with trepidation, imagining and remembering what people had said about it. We arrived late at night so I couldn’t see properly... more

After a friend booking online,( very influenced by price), I then read several reviews and panicked! But, the bungalow was clean, relatively cockroach free and staff both courteous and helpful. We went down for our first meal full of trepidation as previous... more

These bungalows are BASIC but exceptionally clean. Furniture is old and worn. Security is a concern as doors, windows and locks are a joke. Bar and restaurant staff are rude beyond belief and will make jokes at guests expense by deliberately mis-understanding what is being... more

Great Hioliday
Just got back from 7 days all inclusive and enjoyed every day of it . The food was great such a variety for breakfast, lunch and evening meal with snacks in between. If you could'nt find something you liked you must be one fussy person when it comes to food. The san miguel was lovely and cold the soft drinks ie. pepsi, 7up were the real thing. The staff were pleasant, very helpful at reception the rooms were clean and cleaned regular.on leaving our pick up time was 7pm we spent all day by the pool then was given a room to shower... more
Loved the pool
We spent 2 weeks at the Sonora Golf and I must say we were pleasantly surprised considering all the negative comments I've seen. We arrived at 4 in the morning and were greeted by quite a pleasant chap on reception. Wasn't too impressed by the food parcel we were given, so that went straight in the bin but the thought was there. The bungalow was very clean and smelled lovely. My only complaint about the accomodation was my bed. It was extremely noisy and I was scared to turn over as it sounded like it was going to collapse. <br... more
ok!
on arrival at 4 in the mornin we expected a [--] after readin the other reports..we were plesantly supprised as there was actually some one on reception.on arriving at our bungalow we saw it was clean and better than we expected.the food is average nothing special but eddible stay away from the chicken as it did not seem to get that well cooked!most of the staff were friendly apart from one of the bar men.the hotel is sutuated in a rather quiet area but only a 3euro taxi drive to the plaza which has good night life including cream night... more
what a con
what a joke there is no entertainment at all we went for nine days and seen a women singing that needed to have singing lessons and one show which was laughable as it was a fashion show really it was two women walking round us in under wear what was that the food was awful and there was nothing to do the bar shut dead on 11 oclock the staff was grumpy it was a joke we would have had a better time and more of a laugh in blackpool we went all inclusive and spent a fortune on food out of the complex never go
not the best
dont believe what you read, entertainment make your own, there is none of what it says on details of holiday resort.staff freindly, bungalows clean,if you like fish day in day out you will be alright.bar closes dead on 11pm so you have to go to bed lol!not a ideal place for kids.cockroaches everywhere, except your food,
Don't Believe All You Read !
On arrival, having booked for four persons and told by the tour operators that this was fine found just two single beds and a sofa(not a soaf bed) Queried at reception if we had been put in a three persons bunglaow in error only to have a shrug of the shoulders by the man behind the desk, who obviously didnt want to be there, and then be told the bungalows only sleep three persons unless the fourth child was in a cot. As our daughters were 18years and 14years this was a little unhelpful. He offered us a camp bed but the bungalow didnt have... more
!!! Never never never !!! Run away like we did after our first night
I don't know what to say apart from run!!! We did after our first night, simply booked a different hotel. We couldn't stay there. This is a survival camp not a relaxing holiday. When we arrived there was nobody there, just a note back soon and we had to wait for somebody to turn up for about 20minutes. Then we got a key to our bungalow and a little bag each and the guy said "dinner"! These were obviously left-overs from the day...Wouldn't even touch it!!! Made me sick...And then the best part started -we went to our bungalow... It was dirty... more
excellent
Stayed here from 14/04/07-21/04/07 loved the place couldn't fault it at all, well perhaps the lack of entertainment, but like every where, you make your own fun, food was great, place was spotless,on the day of our departure our flight was at 7pm when I asked the manager if we could stay a little later in our bungalow,he said just keep it to 7pm and hold on to your passes for the restraunt etc, which I thought was fantastic. If you are going make sure to go on a boat trip to spot the whales and dolphins,an experience not to be missed.I wanted to... more
Excellent and peaceful accomadation
Accomadation was clean and tidy.Lovely kept grounds.Very clean pool. Food was aplenty and good choice. Easy to get around average taxi price was 3Euros local. Entertainment everywhere. Excellent choice of drink ,large and small tumblers. Negatives :Not enough entertainment! I would consider going back ,Very friendly staff.
Great value for money
I can't understand all the negative comments. The food was excellent and plentiful with lots of variety and there were no flies in the food marquee. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The pool was kept very clean and the bungalows spotless and comfortable. OK there was very little entertainment but we made our own by mixing with the other guests who were a mixture of German, Dutch and British. We had great fun together and they all said they enjoyed their stay. The resort is in an excellent... more
