i booked this holiday after reading all the reviews thinking i would pass my own judgment BAD IDEA!! what everyone has written about the kaan is true, the only good thing i will say is the food is nice.
i flew back on the 31st October 2008 after spendind a week here's a break down of mine and my friends holiday from hell -
*No holiday rep to be seen all week
*We were Sexually Harassed by Rambo,Ozzie, Ichmiere
*Money was added to dinner receipts
*I was bitten in the face by a waiter
*The rep i contacted had no interest in helping us so we spent our evenings after eating dinner out confined to our room's, not being able to use the pool table as in fear of being groped, followed to the toilets this happened to other women as well. we witnessed a Turkish male beat his girl friend in the corridor and nothing was done about it.
they closed the swimming pool after our first day saying it was broken and refused to repair it. i have been to turkey many a time and never have i been treated in such a way that the hotel staff thought they had a right to cop a feel when they wanted it was disgusting, the manager turned a blind eye DO NOT BOOK THE KAAN IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN!!!! i will never return to turkey ever again thanks to these people

definitely the worst accomodation i have ever had the mis-fortune to be stuck in for 2 weeks.never ending cds on repeat staff who only want your money especially dave mario and rambo.the bar tabrip off was very much in evidence and a swimming pool so dangerous you should not bother. the kind of place you would send your worst enemy on a bad day.
NEVER GO TO THE KAAN APARTMENTS IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH AND WEALTH.

If we could of given 0 we would, We booked the hotel for the day before we arrived so when we got there at 6am we could go straight to bed. on arrival the hotel said we couldnt stay there and moved us to another apartment a short distance away. They was very rude and ignorant on trying to sort the problem out, we got into our apartments 2 days later, with no apology or explanation. We couldnt leave the hotel without getting harrased about why we wasnt drinking at the bar and asked where we was going, and they stopped been friendly after a while because we wasnt drinking with them, we originally paid to stay for 12 weeks but couldnt bare to stay any longer than 2 weeks and actually paid to stay in other accomodation. the shower was always cold and u have to pay loads of money for airconditioning. we found the staff to be very rude and they didnt speak very good english. and been ploaced on the top floor they dont even have a lift!!!! it needs demolishing and we would be quite happy to do it. dont go unless you want to come home depressed.

I have just returned from 1 weeks stay at kaan apart, i must say if i had to stay another week it would be too much. the rooms are reasonable sized your kitchen area is well very small you have a fridge 2 cooking rings n tiny work top space, i didnt bother cooking 2 be honest!! even though it was a self catering holiday the staff will not let you drink your own bottled water by the pool, they take it off you , also they expect you to buy there water which was quite expensive. Every time you left hotel the staff asked you were you where going as they prefared you to eat in there restaurant, If you do eat or drink in there DO NOT HAVE A TAB !!!!! every time we put a meal or a drink on a tab we found extra charges for drinks we never had ! this happened to other people there aswell! There entertainment was very poor, Staff are always asking you for a cigarette and to buy them a drink. I've stayed in marmaris 3 times now i wouldn't recommend this hotel as staff are annoying ! I have been to turkey 3 years running and this year the prices have gone up on everything, food ,drink, clothes, taxis ect so take extra spending money !!

I have just arrived back from this hotel last night and it was well and truly fantastic, i would so so so recomend it and go back. The staff were fantastic with great English skills and went out of their way if you needed anything (they made me a sandwich at about 2am! when the kitchen is meant to be closed!)
The rooms were also good and had 2 sofa beds in the living room, which me and my friend mainly slept on as we were too hot and had to have the balcony open!
I would say this hotel suits everones needs, even if you have children.
The nightlife is good in turkey, a short walk to the beach front clubs, or a dolmus to the barstreet, although the staff gave us lifts for half the price of a taxi, which was great! as we sometimes went out after midnight. The staff even came out with us a couple of nights which was a great laugh!
There would always be enough sunbeds as the staff would go out their way and get you one if you seemed stuck.
i LOVED it here, i want to go back now!
Also the food was great, they had lots of different options, english and turkish, and it was a very fair price, for example burger, chips and salad was 5 lira which is like £2, full English fryup was 6 lira, which is about £2.50 ish.
And becuase the hotel is smaller then most of the others, you get to know the staff more and they get to know you, we even got waved off when our coach came!!
AND DO A TURKISH BATH, ITS FANTASTIC!!!!
OVERALL. FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GREAT GREAT GREAT GREAT!!!!

Well i have been to turkey many times and all i can say i was very disappointed.
Firstly we had no hot water for the full 3 weeks of our stay this was reported but nothing was done about it.
secondly the staff....most of whom where fine but one member of staff by the name of hakan was well out of order he did nothing but push ppl into buying drinks and almost giving people the 3rd degree if they left the appartments, i found him quite rude and very annoying.needless to say i spend little time as possible there ,and to say the cooking facilities where meanial is true 1 cup,1 broken cup,2 plates 1lg 1sm 2 shabby glasses,1bowl hardly self catering! and i do not recommend the studio appartments if you are taller then 5ft 2ins. i think this is one appartment i well give a miss to in the future.

My young sister and I booked this hotel for us our mother and granparents ages ranged from 18 - 85. Each and everyone of us had a fab time and we were all catered for. Entertainment def for the oldies, grandparents had a fab holiday and def one to remember.
My sister is a veggie and the hotel made every effort to cater for her needs even on their BBQ night they cooked her a meal specially, fantastic staff and full of fun.
Very near to all the bars if you want to party all night.
Rooms are dated but they are clean and tidy, what more do you want for your money!
FAB FUN FOR ALL!!!!!!

The Watts family has been holidaying out in Turkey and the Kaan hotel for the last 10 years. kaan, his wife, mum and dad have become not only great hosts but aslo great friends.
We would reccomend Kaan hotel to any family looking for a relaxing break.
Over the years we have made lots of friends and its great to see them coming back year after year.
A great night can be had when the Bell family and in particular when "Johnny Breeze" is on the stage.
If you are looking for great cuisine, Kyle reccomends the "chip butties"
The Watts family, lancashire.

Stayed here with my best friend in September 2005. On arrival staff were really helpful.
It’s a great little place to stay me and my friend loved it. The room wasn’t perfect; it was basic but clean and nice.
The staff were all lovely, got on with them really well, ace to hang out with. Watch Bryan though he likes to keep you topped up with a drink with his ace cocktails.
Meals were lovely at the restaurant, can’t complain at all. Very close to the centre.
Overall very nice place. Only given 8 because the rooms were quite basic.

On arrival room not ready. Room allocation poor. Toilet fell off hinges as I was sitting on it - and no I'm not that heavy!
No light in bathroom, with dodgy electrics and loose wires, shower had seen better days. No kettle.
Asked to be moved to another room, which staff couldn't understand! Second room had a flood on floor due to dodgy fridge. Air conditioning keep leaking, according to staff it was because I was using it too much!
Decor very run down, curtains didn't fit windows properly, patio doors didn't lock properly. But rates were cheap so you get what you pay for.
Then came the very long nights of loud music and drinking all through the night til 7am. Even continued after being asked politely at 4am to turn it down a bit.
The pool was very deep with no area cordoned off for kids. So not recommended for people with young children.
Regularly short changed, I only noticed as I was used to the currency.
Cleaning staff friendly and pleasant and kept the apartment clean. Over all poor and not recommended unless you plan to spend all night drinking.
