Remarkable for all the right reasons

Stayed here with my wife for a week as a late honeymoon. On arrival we had a bottle of champagne in the room and flowers on the bed, a shock as i hadn't paid for it or asked in advance. So from the begining everything started very well. We had a nice room on the top floor... more

We have been to Marmaris many times and we know that there are some very friendly, genuine people there but unfortunately none work at the Goldstone! We arrived at 8.30 am to find we had no room and had to wait for 6 hours for a room, not nice at all after travelling... more

The only thing i would advise people thinking of booking the Goldstone for a holiday is DON’T. As others have said the place is awful, staff out only to get your money and don’t really care how they get it so long as they do. The bar is called Friends .....hahahahaha... more

We came back from Marmaris at the end of September start of October and we were sad to leave Marmaris BUT not sad to leave the hell hole called Goldstone. I am sure there are prisons better than the Goldstone and Prison officers better than the staff at the Goldstone.... more

Well I stayed at Goldstone hotel for the hole of May and I loved every moment of it. I have been coming to Marmaris for the last 4 years and I can honestly say this is the best hotel that I have stayed in it is so clean and all the staff are excellent, The staff will do anything for you to make your hoilday one to remember. And they are funny and up for a laugh 24hours aday even though they work long hours and tired but they always find energy to dance the night away and entertain you with turkish dancing. I stayed at the Goldstone in June 07 with my teenage daughter. I was a little worried at first as this was our first holiday alone , how wrong could I have been . I found this hotel perfect, it is very close to the beach , less than 5 minutes walk, close to all the bars and restaurants. The rooms are very clean and quite spacious. The hotel staff were polite, very friendly and just could not do enough for you. We stayed at the hotel bar most nights where we were entertained all evening. well, all i can say is i had a fantastic time at the gold stone hotel, as two female travellers i was a bit worried but when i arrived i was put at ease strait away. the staff were so friendly and help full and so polite through out are stay i would highly recommend, we did not purchase a safty deposit box and we were not robbed at all!! i first stayed in this hotel in 2004 i found it to basic but comfortable i enjoyed my stay and decided to return this year. the hotel has new staff and management ,and i was not dissapointed. as a lone traveller i felt really at home in this small and friendly hotel ,they made every effort to make my stay enjoyable .very central location just a stone's throw from the beach. it has been refurbished and the restaurant was very comfortable and the food well cooked and presented. i would go there again and recommend the gold stone to anyone... more

Just like 'Beachlovers' my husband and I did a bit of research on this hotel....and buoyed by all the wonderful reviews given by other contributors on trip adviser....decided to book for a week long stay - week commencing 15th October 2006. had a lovely two weeks at the goldstone hotel marmaris. Have been going to marmaris for 8years now and in all that time this is the best hotel ever. The staff were just great, the food excellant, rooms done daily, but again the staff, well they excelled themselves, nothing to much for them especially ufuk,volcan, urcan and jay. We will certainly be going back there as the friendlyness made our holiday perfect. Thanks Goldstone.
