We travelled to Demircioglu Apartments via ICR Travel - IcmelerOnline . They have offices in Liverpool, England and also in Icmeler Turkey. Booking was really simple, after 1 email and 1 phone call the holiday was booked. I found them on the internet at www.icmeleronline.com and they have a forum which I found useful for asking questions to members about Icmeler.
We arrived at Dalaman Airport early evening with no delays to our flight and after waiting for our luggage we made our way outside to look for our transport. Our mini-bus from ICR was waiting for us, and within 10 minutes we were on our way to Icmeler. There were only 6 of us on the mini-bus, so we didnt have many drop-offs like we have had on previous holiday with larger tour operators. We were supplied with chilled water (free) on our journey to Icmeler, and just over 90 minutes later, we were at our Apartments.
First impressions of the apartment were very good. The apartment was spacious and very clean. It had 1 lounge with 2 sofa beds and dining table, kitchen with 2 ring hob, fridge and toaster, bathroom with shower cubicle, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds. The cleaner was in every day, towels were changed daily, and sheets changed every 3-4 days. On our final day, the towels were arranged with rose petals.
The location of the apartments are excellent with restaurants and shops all around. It was only a 5 minute walk to the beach.
The owner of the apartmets is Vince, who also has a restaurant downstairs. The food was really good here and we ate there several times during our 2 week holiday. The staff are excellent, and there was never any hassle from them to eat or drink there. Entertainment in the evening is dancing once the evening meals are finished. We had a few nights at Vince's and enjoyed learning the Turkish dancing from the Waiters and Shaz who is the ICR rep for these apartments.
We had lovely meals in every restaurant we ate at in Icmeler. The entertainment is mainly music and dancing. Overall our holiday was excellent and we are returning in 2008. The prices of food and drink in Icmeler is really good. The local beer is Efes lager, this ranges in price from 2-3 lira and is very good. We found all the waiters to be really friendly and helpful and always have time to sit and talk to you. Its surprising how many friends you make. We will of course visit them again on our next holiday.
There are plenty of things to do in Icmeler, boat trips, jeep safari's (lots of fun), sporting activities, day trips, turkish baths etc. It has beautiful scenery and the weather was fantastic. There is a weekly market every Wednesday. There is also an indoor market which is open daily.
This is the first time we have used ICR Online for booking our holidays and we have already booked with them to return to the same apartments in 2008.

We stayed at the apartments for 2 weeks in May and will most definitely be back there.
If is above Vince's restaurant/bar which in itself is great the food and the guys who work there are great. We tended to have breakfast there, and had a few meals in the evening too.
The apartments had everything you need for a 2wk self catering holiday, including kettle, toaster, small hob, etc. The balcony looks onto the main road and you have a nice view to the right of the old village.
The cleaner comes in every day and does a lot more than she need to, our towels were changed daily and the linen every 3 days. The pool area was just a nice size in which most of it gets the sun all day.
You are only about 5 minute walk from the beach and to the centre (canal area) so it is in a really good position and would definitely recommend it.
