Having spent a week in Turunc, which was lovely and very quiet, we moved to Club Amaris for 2 weeks. We've been to Marmaris 11 times and usually stay in hotels close to the beach. Decided to try a self-catering holiday this year - big mistake!!!!
We had a 1 bedroomed apartment which was well equipped and spacious. The apartment was cleaned daily and the linen changed regularly. No complaints about the quality/cleanliness of the apartment - but major issues with the noise and attitude of staff and management. We stayed 13th-27th August and the apartments were full of Dutch people. One group of 6 Dutch lads were staying in 2 apartments, 1 on our floor (1st) and 1 on the top floor (3rd). They screamed and ran around the apartments and stairwell when they came back drunk from Bar Street between 4 & 5a.m. banging on doors and waking people. The night staff did nothing to stop them.
My husband went to speak to the Management the following day and was told they could do nothing as the lads were drunk. Unlike hotels in Marmaris, apartments don't have security, who would have dealt with the drunken louts and made sure it didn't happen again.
After this incident we spent as little time as possible at the apartments or around the pool (which is extremely slippy/dangerous. a couple of people slipped on the wet floor and banged their heads). We went to the beach each day, which is only a 10 minute walk away.
After complaining just this once to the Management the staff ignored us for the rest of the holiday (not that we were particularly bothered as they're all false anyway, they're just after your money). When we were leaving at 2.00am the night receptionist made no effort to help take our luggage to the cab.
This review makes me sound like a proper moaner!!! but rest assured I like a good time like anyone else, but when you are being disturbed intentionally by idiots playing postmans knock at 4.00am it's no laughing matter.
As I said earlier we've been to Marmaris 11 times and stayed in different accommodation of varying standards, but this is the first time I've ever felt compelled to write a review. These apartments should be advertised as either 18/30 or definitely young and lively. If you're looking for a quiet holiday in Marmaris - this definitely isn't the place.
We love Marmaris and would recommend it to young and old alike. Staying at the Club Amaris has made us realise you really do get what you pay for. Think it's back to the Nergis Select or another nice hotel closer to the beach for us next year. The standards are far higher and the staff and management far more professional.

So gutted to come home :( can't wait 2 get back next June!! The weather was class and the food is dead nice and really cheap to eat out!! Brill nite life and the likes of the boat trips are great and the turkish baths!! I would definetley advise anyone to go to Club Amaris apartments in marmaris and it is only a 10min walk from the beach and nite life! Its suitable for all ages and all families. The staff would do anything for you and I can't wait to see them all nxt year again!!

My family and I booked to go to the hotel Amaris but when we arrived where put next door in Club Amaris and what a nice surprise it was.
The apartments were basic but really nice and clean, the pool was lovely and cleaned every night ready for the next day.
The staff were really friendly and couldn’t do enough for you the food was nice and very reasonable in price.
Overall it was a lovely place to stay and I will definitely be going back next year.
Thank you to all the staff at Club Amaris for a truly brilliant holiday.

I just spent 2 weeks in Club Amaris with my 15 year old daughter. What can I say! It was our best holiday ever. Everyone from the cleaners to the management were excellent in every way. The rooms are immaculate and the beds are very comfy.
There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby and the beach is a mere 5-10 min walk away with plenty of night clubs. We went on 2 boat trips which we thoroughly enjoyed, and very reasonably priced too. The food was excellent and the bar staff at Club Amaris were brilliant.
It was our 1st time in turkey but it won't be our last. We will definitely be going back to Club Amaris next year for sure.

Just got back from the Club Amaris, had a fantastic week. Didn’t want to come home! A great location, close to Marmaris beach and lots of bars, shops and restaurants.
The apartments are fantastic, clean, tidy and nicely decorated, the food was lovely and I recommend the Turkish Ottoman, Yummo! And definitely the mash on a Sunday! But what really makes the Club Amaris is the staff! The very lovely Mustapha with his "hands of fire" and "pen wobble" tricks and baby Andy Pandy. Who makes the strongest Raki and Lemonade in Marmaris! All the reception staff were friendly and Claire the Thomson rep was really fab too!
Definitely going to book again!
Miss it already! (Especially the 95 degree sunshine!)

Stayed at club Amaris for one week in July.
All i can say is absolutely fantastic, the people are lovely, the location is perfect and the hotel was wonderful.
Food was really nice in the bar and reasonably priced. The guys working on the bar were brilliant did not feel no sleaze or hassle from them.
The apartment was really nice, simple, yet full of everything you could need, fridge, freezer, kettle, toasters.
The location is brilliant, just seconds away from a supermarket and a five minute stroll to the city centre.
This was our first time to Marmaris and we absolutely loved it. Just don't buy any excursions from the reps, they are overpriced. You can buy better excursions from the local street vendors. Who will use better companies to go on boat trips, truck safaris etc than the actually reps and you end up paying much, much less. E.g. we wanted to go for a Turkish bath, the reps Thomson were selling a Turkish bath excursion for £23.
We got one from the local travel agent around the corner from the apartments for £6. We though maybe it will be rubbish, but they took us to a five star hotel. It was fantastic and they pick you up from your hotel and drop you off.

My family and I went to Club Amaris last July for 2 weeks, we had a fantastic holiday. The apartments were excellent, I have been holidaying in Marmaris twice a year for 8 years now and can honestly say these apartments are the best I have ever stayed in by far!
Not only are the rooms immaculate but they are very well decorated, the bedrooms are to hotel standard with beautiful bedroom furniture. The living/kitchen area is great too and a very decent size, you also have the luxury of a freezer in your fridge and a pop-up toaster, i know that might not sound luxury but believe you me it's a 1st in any apartments in Marmaris I’ve ever stayed in! So that’s a luxury!
The location of the apartments is also spot on, you are only a 5-10 min walk from the beach which at night is also where its all happening so when you've had a really great boozy night out you've not got far to crawl home! As we did a lot! It's great that your not bombarded with the loud music of the bars and disco's constantly but it's only 5-10 mins away if you want it! A local supermarket is a 2 min walk away which has 2 public telephones which is very handy when calling home to check in.
The staff at Club Amaris are also fantastic, Mehmet, Mustapha, Alex & my big brother sally, and how could I possibly forget Eric the best chef in Marmaris who runs the snack bar throughout the day and also when your peckish after having a good drink on a night out ;-), all the staff are very obliging and can't do enough for you to make sure you have the best holiday ever. One of the nights we had a pool party and it was excellent we started of with a bbq & some drinks and then we were all dancing until 1 by 1 we were all in the swimming pool playing water polo, it was great the fact that this was something for kids and adults to enjoy together.
My niece of 5yrs and my nephew of 9yrs always accompany us on our holidays to Marmaris and they also say that Club Amaris has been the best yet, we're all booked to go back in July 2006, we're all really excited as we know exactly where we're going and what to expect.
I would highly, highly recommend these apartments to families & couples.
