We had a fantastic week at the Balci. Staff brillient even went to find dvd player for children to watch jeep safari but only had vhs recorder.children loved learning turkish dances with staff .Pool lovely ,rooms small but it was'nt a problem for us.eating out we went round the corner to first rainbow lovely meals all week. Went on jeep safari and lazy day cruise all inclusive for £65 english pounds for 4adults & 4 children very cheap days out .We are now planning to go back next year.all in all a fantastic holiday had by all can't wait for... more

when we first arrived at the balci we were a little dissapointed by the rooms, there is hardly any room and the bathrooms are tiny. i had trouble in the shower even though im a size 10! the pool area is fantastic although alot of people took up sunloungers with their towels then went off for the day in marmaris so you had to wait around for a sunlounger to become free. the waiters were very friendly to us and ensured we had a great stay there. they talked to us everytime we passed (well the ones who could speak english) and didnt... more

My wife and i stayed at the balci Hotel last year and found it one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The satff where the friendless we have ever come across. The pool was great the location is excelant. Close to all the hussell and bussell of the resort but far enough away not to be desturbed by it all at night. The meals where fantastic. The turkish themed night was great. The only complaint is the shower rooms very small but managable. For anyone who is looking for a hotel to stay in in the resort i would recommend balici.... more

On reading the reviews about the Balci we were on the verge of changing hotels, but decided to stay put, the Hotel staff can not do enough to make your stay enjoyable, the pool was great as you need to cool off because of the heat, we stayed bed and breakfast and could not fault the food, our rooms were cleaned every day with fresh linen and towels, the showers were the only thing that we have to agree with they are small but we were assured that the Hotel was going to be refurbished and the showers were the top of their list. 3 couples went on this holiday to celebrate a special wedding anniversary, so we wanted it to be great, we nearly changed hotels because of the reviews written here! we stayed with the Balci, and we are very pleased we did, we all have no bad comments about the hotel, the staff were great, we got no hassle from staff for anything, pool great, rooms clean but basic, showers are on the small side, but we all managed, and none of us are a size 12!!!!!! What is there not to say about the balci, when we first arrived the first inpression of the hotel was it looked really nice, but then thats where it all started. we walking in to book in and was imediatly pesterd by the staff. we said we'd be down later for happy hour when we'd unpacked. Well it didnt take us long to unpack because we couldnt there was no where to store our clothes, the rooms where tiny the bathroom was disgusting. the shower run on to the bathroom floor it was like a swimming pool in there. We stayed at the Balci in september 2005 for 1 week. When we first arrived at the balci it looked really nice from the outside and it is. ok the rooms maybe small and very basic but there is that much to do in marmaris your never in your room. The shower is very small! When we first arrived, the hotel did not look anything like what was on holidays 4 u web site. The Balci looks good from outside but the rooms could do with updating and are small and the showers even smaller. There is only 1 drawer and one small wardrobe (with only 4 hangers) in the twin rooms (was supposed to be a double tho!)so we were living out of the suitcase. only got clean sheets and towels once in the week we were there also. The pool is great and quite big for Turkey and we always managed to get a lounger no problem even later in the day (maybe due to the time of our stay tho).
